Trusted the Marriot name and was not disappointed. Facility was immaculate. Staff was top-notch. Room was better than expected bordering on luxurious. Bistro in lobby. Got a great rate online.
WiFi was a bit fickle at times. As smokers, we had to run down to outside designated smoking area each time.....but that's 99% of the facilities these days
Friendly staff. Very at home feeling.
Very clean facilities, conveniently located. Comfortable bed, sofa bed in room. Mini fridge, coffee maker, nice towels. Easy check in/out. complimentary coffe/tea in lobby.
sofa bed was not very comfortable to sit on, but then again, we weren't on it for long.
I would of liked a com.breakfast.
Worst stay in a hotel in my life. Of a 3 night stay, we were awakened two mornings -- first morning at 1:30 by the hotel staff and 2nd morning by two drunks! I understand you don't have control over drunk guests who were banking on the door yelling "hotel security". But the first night the story we got is that someone at the desk sent up a houseman to "check the room". We were startled awake by knocking two times and then opening our door. Thank goodness we had the security latch engaged. The attempted entrance scared us to death! When we called down to the desk, we were told "sorry, I send up the houseman to check the room". What in the world would you be checking at 1:30 in the morning?? Why not a call to room first. Yes, we would have been woken up but not scared to death by someone entering our room. We talked with Rosa, the manager, and she wanted to give us a free breakfast ($10/pp) for our inconvenience. We told her we had plans that morning then she offered 40% off one of our three night stays. We couldn't believe that we were awakened again the second night. We complained again at the desk (Rosa was not in yet). Thankfully, the third night was uneventful. At check out, I noticed that we were charged $169 for the first night and $98 for second and third night. So it appears that we did get a discount on two nights. I feel we should have gotten two free nights for our inconvenience. Not sure if we will return to this hotel which is close to my cousin's home. I would appreciate an explanation of why hotel staff was "checking a room" at 1:30 in the morning.
