For the price, rooms are a little small and the seals on the windows are not perfect, but I'm just being picky. Stay here if you get a good price.
Clean, modern hotel with friendly staff and excellent location (although a short walk to the beach).

The fact I stayed in the royal Hawaiian building. I wanted to be on the strip
It was nice and clean. Hated that some of the outlets weren't working. But the fact that the staffs delivered ice to me when I needed was awesome!

Excellent staff. Cleaning lady always ensured that our beds were made and ready.

We loved the location, the convenience, the staff (everyone up to the cleaning lady who was very polite and nice), and the quaint room with a balcony on the 17th floor, from where we watched fireworks, and people down below go about their business. Great place to watch the sunset go down beyond the beach only a couple of blocks away.

The room we were put in this time was in the aloha tower and the floor had not been renovated so it was old, needed updates, and was very cramped for a "one-bedroom suite" which we reserved. We were only here for one night as a graduation present for my sister-in-law so it wasn't too uncomfortable. We were told we could be put in the 14th floor where the renovated rooms were but the elevator only went to the floor below and we would have to take the stairs to get to the 14th floor. We had luggage, a 5year old and a 2 year old so that was not an option. I only wish they would've accommodated our family since we put in our reservations months in advance and based on the numbers I gave them, they should've realized we couldn't fit into such a small "suite". But the front desk guy was really nice about it.
Very convenient to the main part of Waikiki without all the noise. IHOP is across the street and the ABC store is next door for any last minute essentials or water, juice, etc. The staff is always friendly when we stay here and the pool is always nice/clean. The main tower (where the lobby is) is better than the Aloha tower in my opinion. We usually stay in the main tower but this trip we were given the aloha tower. Wifi is always good and fast. check out is super easy and the valet people are professional.

Great location, personnel very Nice.

Bed was really really comfortable. TV was big and picture is clear. Cleanliness and staff was excellent. Location is superb as it sits right on Kuhio Ave. not to much traffic and shops and stores are walking distances. LOVED IT.

the facility, rooms are awful and dirty...in an old apartment building detached from the hotel .....like an 60's apartment. Definitely not worth the USD 260 per night plus 35 USD daily parking! With this price you can do so much better!

Do not make the same mistake as me and think you are booking a Marriot, albeit rated 4 star, it is their low end brand.
When I complained about the room size we were upgraded free of charge the next day. For a 4 star hotel the original room was a joke. See comment below.

Bathroom cleanliness still a problem~
Tatiana at the front desk ALWAYS anticipates our families needs and helps out from the moment we get there to the minute we leave! If we need additional items or help send CIP fax, mail whatever, she does it with a cheerful attitude that EXCEEDS the everyday professionalism that is required! More employees need to take a lesson from Tatiana!!

The housekeeping staff need to clean the bathrooms better, we had hair all over the floor and shower/bath and I had to wipe down the floors so our 15 mo old would be safe from whatever it was stuck on the floor (cleaner or ?? left uncleaned)!
Everyone is kind and extremely helpful, especially Tatiana at the front desk!!! She has helped us on multiple stays and always makes sure things are easier for me as I am disabled and can not do everything myself yet she makes me feel as though it's a pleasure not an imposition to help me and not many hoyels care about disabled guests anymore! She helped send faxes and made sure if I needed something, we had it right away which I will always pass on to the aarp bulletins and I tell everyone if tou want the best care and comfort "THIS is the hotel for YOU!!!" They strive not for excellence but to exceed excellence and they do!!!

Walked into initial room exhausted from travel. Just wanted to dive into bed. But when pullout bed was out, no sheets on it. And blood stains and what looked like poop! Luckily they moved our room. But in new room, tub couldn't stay full and was stuck in shower mode. Used to be our favorite hotel, but no longer the case!
I liked the warm salt water pool and the valet service. However for $33 a day. Very steep!
