The owner, Freddie, greeted us with a warm smile & handshake then took us in a tour. The room was clean, comfy, and had a nice little amenities basket in the bathroom. And wineglasses & an opener ! I have been at $400 a night hotels recently in CA that didn't have more than a plastic cup ! lol The included breakfast & service was wondeful. We are planning a return trip this winter.
extremely welcoming owner and friendly staff. i assume an all family affair .the two sitting rooms feel traditional though a bit underlit for reading and would be even cosier with a lit fire. the cooked breakfast in a nice room. well away from the outlet strip and up a quiet road. great for covered bridges waterfalls.really good area for leaf peeping mid october , the scenic railway . mt washington and outdoor activities.Outlet shopping if you really must .. . shame that very heavy rain on the day reduced our options and brought the leaves down . also has historic associations with babe ruth .
decor a bit dated in the bedrooms though the pine and stodginess of the decor is traditional for a ski lodge. not my preference . liked the traditional sitting rooms though.
The owners take great care of everyone that stays at cranmore b&b lodge... enjoyed the room. And the breakfast.it has such a relaxing living roomwith a fireplace....we will be coming back.....
Wonderful fresh breakfast.
No comfortable place to sit in room & the shower was much too small.
The beds were uncomfortable and the room was crowded.
Breakfast was GREAT and our waiter was Great. Room was clean enough & we were able to open a window at night.
Our room was SO SMALL the two of us kept getting in each other's way. We were on the 2nd floor, we are both seniors hard to get luggage up the stairs & back down. We don't like people in our room & we certainly don't need clean linens daily but there was no way to tell them to stay out. We were really tired and they came banging our door open, they didn't seem to care when I told them we were really tired. We felt we had to get up & leave or they would wake us again.
Beautiful common rooms to relax in after a long day shopping. Owner super nice, warm, charming and welcoming. Charming decor. Very clean. The Inn was hidden away from the noise of downtown
The service staff in the breakfast room need to be taught how to serve the guests at the table. They have a long way to go.
Beautiful setting. Very friendly and helpful owners. Charming old building. Really loved the wood panelled sitting room with musical instruments to play. Breakfasts were excellent.
Not very central so had to drive to restaurants etc. Beds and floors creaked and the shower was a bit basic but the building is 160 years old and you wouldn't expect it to be like a modern chain hotel. Much preferred it to all the other hotels we stayed at however!
Very friendly en warm welcome. Excellent breakfast! Fresh baked cookies in the afternoon. We felt at home here.
Location - slightly out of town surrounded by woodland Breakfast was excellent - full English
We arrived after a long drive and it felt like being home. The lady that welcomed us was so kind and sweet. They upgraded us to a king size bed room, which was clean, with lovely furniture and a really comfortable bed. The breakfast (included in the room rate) was excellent, freshly cooked by the owner. We had the best pancakes ever!
Nothing. We loved everything!!
Loved closeness to town, shopping, dining, walking and yet feeling like we were out in the country. Fabulous walks nearby and great breakfast menu.
Room was very small but two wonderful reading rooms downstairs made up for it.
Everything! Visiting from the UK on a tour of Vermont & New hampshire, Boston & New York. This was such a lovely place, the owners very friendly, the breakfast and cookies all home cooked and delicious. Accommodation cleaned and attended to at very high standard and even our clothes hung up for us!
Location, breakfast included, bed was comfortable.
Musty odor in room 19.
Breakfast was delicious! My husband liked their omelet, I loved the pancakes and french toast! The owners are very warm, friendly and helpful. The location is relatively close to the attractions that we were interested in.
The spare pillows had hair strands and the toilet seat wasn't clean. The bathroom smelled of urine. I would suggest guests to bring clorox wipes and fabreeze air freshener.
no coffee in the room and no coffee till 7:30 am. I am an early riser.
Wonderful location and marvelous breakfasts.Quiet location yet only 5 minutes from all local shops and ameneties.
Great breakfast. Good location. Wonderful family/owners.
Felt like home! Breakfast was fantastic. Sitting by the fireplace on a cool night was so cozy. Bed slept well.
Had trouble finding it -- seemed out of the way. Lots of stairs.
Comfy bed and a great breakfast.
Staff and breakfast.
There are amazing areas. The White Mountains with Kanga magus Highway, waterfalls, hiking trails and visiting the “Castel in the clouds”.
The room was very small without fridge, closed, the smallest bathroom, shower and toilet. They tell you that there are 75 TV channels. No, there are les then 50, very old TV and poor signal on some channels. I don’t know about others rooms but in second building smells old, everything makes noise, including the bed, which was so uncomfortable. There are more to be said but I paid almost 350 dollars (with taxes) for three nights and I was so disappointed. Never again!
Separate TV room, no flat screen, and separate reading room, tough it was right next to the TV room.
Actual appearance of place compared to online photo. It was in a small gulley. Definitely not a lodge. Very small bathrooms, little scenery, breakfasts burnt. TVs in rooms were about 12 inches!
Breakfast was amazing, room and environment beautifully decorated
We had a room in which we couldnt open the window (they asked us not to) so no fresh air. The bed was the worst in my life, it was like sleeping on a trampoline. The overall environment from the staff is kind of cold. Overall its a nice place but i didnt like it at all.
The peace and quiet, good breakfast, comfortable bed
