I wish all B&Bs were like this. Spacious, fresh, welcoming and definitely cool
There was nothing that bothered us.
Atmosphere, location for WWII, Breakfast, friendly staff
Staff was friendly and helpful with information about area and transportation. Nice breakfast included with price.
I loved this place! So much charm and character. Nice and close to the French Quarter (without being too close) and the Garden District - both easily accessible by nearby St Charles Streetcar. I found myself looking forward to breakfast every morning just to see what Miss Annie would cook up next. It's safe to say breakfast at every other hotel was a let down by comparison.
Close enough to get to everything but far enough to stay away from the chaos. Staff was super friendly. Great value.
Front office and breakfast
Wish we could have stayed longer. Staying here was a treat. The staff was great & helpful in giving suggestions to help us make the most of our first trip to NOLA. Our room was spacious & very comfortable, but a little overpriced. Location was perfect, being easy walking distance to public transportation & restaurants. Breakfasts were excellent.
Less important to me,but WiFi was extremely slow. Also would have liked availability to beverages other times than just breakfast, like a soda machine or a cooler with juices & water. The rundown neighborhood was initially off-putting.
Within walking distance from main attractions. Authentic New Orleans style B&B; historic building with old charm. Great breakfast; eggs cooked by my specifications! Nice and pleasant inner courtyard.
Sound isolation (and isolation in general) is very approximate. But then again, it is nice and warm in New Orleans, so who needs good windows? As long as the neighbors don't complain...
The only issue was the exterior light was extremely bright and the window coverings were sheer. Not a big deal by any means unless you are light sensitive when sleeping Like I am. Other than that this place is amazing.
Everything was amazing!
The room's confort, location and the staff
When I arrived I felt insecure
I loved the location of the hotel and also the delicious breakfast buffet.
The bed mattress was a little too soft. There was only 1 chair to watch tv and the bed wasn't comfortable to sit on.
The bed was top notch. Property is very old so some need for patching and painting in the room I stayed in. Nice size room and redone bath.
Lovely helpful staff at front desk. Great interesting room. So clean in the bathroom and bedroom. (Not entirely sure about carpet because it is old but seemed ok).Nice little courtyard to sit in. Great breakfast spread. Very handy to streetcar and Mardi Gras parades that go down St Charles. Fairly quiet area so makes a change from crazy busy tourist areas.
Had a tour that left early, but the kitchen staff did not want to take that into account so was unable to get a cooked breakfast before I left. A little inflexible/"relaxed" in the way the orders are run. Takes half an hr to serve breakfast when the room is less than half full. Hot food was good though. The stuff on the table was ok (typical American stuff not the most healthy).
The staff especially DJ Annie were remarkable. Annie's cooking is to die for and she makes the place very inviting.
There needs to be improvements and upgrades in therooms in the 2nd house.
Totally not handicapped friendly. State of hotel in disrepair
location was the best one block from street car. staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area.
could use some minor repairs. some of my friends would be turned off by the worn look but I think it added to the charm
Keith at the front desk was most helpful and was very concerned that we have a good time during our stay in New Orleans. He called us in the morning to make sure we arrived in time so we didn't get stuck behind the parade barricades.
The breakfast was good and use of microwave and coffee machine was welcome.
No chairs in the room for relaxing and a fridge facility would have been very helpful.
So much more than a guesthouse, full of charm, soul, character and warmth. The perfect place to stay in New Orleans.
Staff was great!
- the staff are awesome! - Annie is a GEM, obviously loves to create wonderful breakfasts and most importantly, made us feel like our time with her at breakfast was the most important part of her day! - Short walking distance to restaurants, pubs, etc.
- weather! :-( The day of our arrival was warm however it got very cool and or rainy after that.
The staff and our room were superb. This was our 3rd straight year attending comic con in New Orleans and staying at our favorite bed and breakfast in town. The have excellent customer service, great rooms, 5 star breakfast cooked and served by the amazing Mrs. Annie. There is no where else we will ever stay!
Nothing this is our home away from home
Creloe Gardens was the quintessential NOLA experience. Loved our Friday night dance parties with Black Queen Anne!!!
This place was amazing!! The front desk staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. Annie, the chef, was wonderful and her food was to die for :) The place was full of charm and wonderful surprises.
