Paint was peeling from walls and no place to store gear in bathroom
Location and people
It was not a problem for my daughter and I who are mobile, but the location is somewhat removed from the main locations of interest. The streetcar service is erratic, especially during busy periods, hence we mostly walked, to reduce the time to get to where we wanted to be.
The owners and staff were very friendly and the facilities provided were adequate though minimal in comparison to those available from conventional hotels.
Delicious hot breakfast amd very friendly staff! Parking included. We loved the atmosphere.
The friendliness of the staff and the close proximity to the St. Charles streetcar.
Room was a bit on the small side, air conditioner was noisy I recommend bringing ear plugs.
Decor was very nice and everything was clean. Bathroom was nice and big. Staff was very very friendly. It's more intimate than a hotel but you also have your separate quiet space.
No counter space in bathroom, soaps too small, curtains in bedroom were paper thin and could not darken room.
Breakfast room and food was great and people very friendly
No fridge in our room though ice was nearby..
The staff and guests were all friendly, fun, and helpful. They worked together to make our stay memorable and unique.
The celing fan was wobbly and squeaky.
Keith was super helpful in giving us things to do and places to go for locals. We loved the location! The court yard was a great place to relax.
Wifi was awful & even with help from manager I was unable to log on & check my email.
Excellent hot breakfast. Nice big bathroom with ample storage.
Wi-fi was spotty.
Keith's dining recommendations.
Nothing I didn't like, but if you're into shiny chrome and metallic modernism this isn't for you.
Beautiful stylish classic New Orleans guesthouse, with lovely courtyard and uniquely characterful rooms and ambiance. Keith and Lauren were super welcoming and helpful. Breakfasts were Southern style and varied and cooked perfectly to order and set me up for the day. A wide range of items also available buffet style. Easy access to the French Quarter via the St. Charles st car just a short block away. Also walkable. It's own neighbourhood has a good range of quality eateries if wanting a quieter evening. Thanks for a great stay!
The properties (it is two homes, former slave quarters bad a garage/disco together) that create an inner courtyard to give one a feeling of expansiveness and security, but access to the open air. Fountains, funky statuary, tables and chairs...good place to hang out. I loved the freedom to and come as I pleased, to lock up my bike in the courtyard, to feel like a local.
Great location between French quarter and garden district. Lots of old style personality in both the buildings and staff. Terrific breakfast. Comfortable room.
There was nothing that bothered us.
I wish all B&Bs were like this. Spacious, fresh, welcoming and definitely cool
Atmosphere, location for WWII, Breakfast, friendly staff
Staff was friendly and helpful with information about area and transportation. Nice breakfast included with price.
I loved this place! So much charm and character. Nice and close to the French Quarter (without being too close) and the Garden District - both easily accessible by nearby St Charles Streetcar. I found myself looking forward to breakfast every morning just to see what Miss Annie would cook up next. It's safe to say breakfast at every other hotel was a let down by comparison.
Close enough to get to everything but far enough to stay away from the chaos. Staff was super friendly. Great value.
Front office and breakfast
Less important to me,but WiFi was extremely slow. Also would have liked availability to beverages other times than just breakfast, like a soda machine or a cooler with juices & water. The rundown neighborhood was initially off-putting.
Wish we could have stayed longer. Staying here was a treat. The staff was great & helpful in giving suggestions to help us make the most of our first trip to NOLA. Our room was spacious & very comfortable, but a little overpriced. Location was perfect, being easy walking distance to public transportation & restaurants. Breakfasts were excellent.
Sound isolation (and isolation in general) is very approximate. But then again, it is nice and warm in New Orleans, so who needs good windows? As long as the neighbors don't complain...
Within walking distance from main attractions. Authentic New Orleans style B&B; historic building with old charm. Great breakfast; eggs cooked by my specifications! Nice and pleasant inner courtyard.
The only issue was the exterior light was extremely bright and the window coverings were sheer. Not a big deal by any means unless you are light sensitive when sleeping Like I am. Other than that this place is amazing.
Everything was amazing!
When I arrived I felt insecure
The room's confort, location and the staff
The bed mattress was a little too soft. There was only 1 chair to watch tv and the bed wasn't comfortable to sit on.
I loved the location of the hotel and also the delicious breakfast buffet.
