Hot breakfast, food in the am before skiing!
Beautiful room and very spacious. The staff was very nice and helpful. They provided glasses of complementary wine in the evening and the breakfast was wonderful!
Heater was noisy.
Hotel staff very friendly & helpful. Excellent location for plenty of walking trails. Good local supper market.
Shower head & water pressure not powerful enough. Not much variety for breakfast. Hotel not within walking distance of small town. Very limited places for evening meals.
Very nice stay and clean and big rooms. Wine was offered too!!
Friendliness of Staff
Wine is included with lodging, great breakfast spread, nice location, upscale rooms (like weirdly upscale for Packwood), kid friendly.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The motel was clean. Breakfast was good but just standard items you find at motels.
The mattresses were poor quality, felt old and need to be replaced. The ice machine was empty at 7 pm and again in the morning. Needs a 2nd ice machine.
The American breakfast - with stress on 'fast'- is the worst way to begin a new morning. Impalatable for a West-European traveller!
the location, to far out of town.
Helpful staff, big room, clean. Free wine gesture from owner.
Noisy ,poor soundproofing between rooms and in corridors. A little out of town to walk to amenities.
The staff is fantastic. Location on the main Hwy going thru Packwood is great. Loved the breakfast. The coffee in our rooms was delicious! We got a complimentary glass of wine which I have never received from any other hotel and thought that was a really nice gesture. We also heard an elk bugling from the parking lot and thought that was pretty cool!
The cleanliness and comfort of rooms and the staff were great. We had 3 Elk that were eating from the fruit trees behind the motel. We were so close!
It was fully booked and breakfast room was extremely small. Noise carried in the rooms.
Room was nice. Parking lot felt secure and safe to park my truck with dirt bike in the back.
Hand towel looked dirty.
The staff was most cordial and went above the norm to make each guest feel welcomed. Facility was clean and located in a quiet area.
Walls were thin and running water could be heard from other rooms.
Location is easy, parking lot feels safe (well lit), and room was pleasant. Kurig for coffee which was nice. Complimentary wine and breakfast buffet.
Buffet area was a bit cramped to walk around with people sitting fairly close to counters. I didn't get in to the room until after midnight, and left by 8, so it was expensive just to sleep. Bed was comfortable though.
Complimentary glasses of wine and friendly attention received from people
Very comfortable. We had the pleasure of having Elk on the property.
Very helpful staff. Thank you
Breakfast starts too late to be used by Mt Rainer park visitors.
Everything. Gorgeous, spacious room with a great coffee maker and fridge. Super comfortable beds and lovely crisp linen. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The surrounds were lovely with picnic benches and outdoor furniture. The two complimentary glasses of wine served in the evening provided an opportunity to meet fellow travellers and share experiences. Delicious full breakfast. Close to Mt St Helens and Mt Rainier. Can't recommend it highly enough!
Having to leave.
It was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It's in a beautiful area!
The mattresses need to be upgraded- not very comfortable.
We came into town having been to Enumclaw then up to Sunrise for a hike. The following day we were well placed to go back into the NP and up to Paradise. We said good-bye and then drove to the Eastern entrance to Mount St. Helens. We appreciated the two glasses of wine each, each evening, with which we were supplied by our amiable hosts
The couple who manage the lodge are delightful, welcoming and friendly. The evening glasses of wine, two being local, we're an unexpected extra but most welcome. We saw some elk in the town and a deer behind the lodge.
Good location, comfort, nice people and enjoyed the offering of wine in early evening. Nice to see the elk feasting on fallen fruit on adjacent land behind the lodge. We would definitely stay there again.
