Loved the location and felt safe traveling alone
Poor service at breakfast
Location staff attention Manager and Assistant Manager absolutely in a class of their own
I just felt at home in the suite bedroom and loved the decoration. Great service and lovely concierge staff.
I little to pricy, but so different than traditional impersonal hotels.
Someday I saw Keira Knightley walked out of this place. I did a note in my phone then I googled it and here I am. 1. Location. If you can afford staying in the city it's already be great. Wherever you are, you can catch a taxi, get a citibike or subway - plenty of choice. But after sometime you'll find your favorite district to stay. I like to staying in the Village, but I tried Soho this time. Brick, glass, architecture, interesting people, places, food, art, shopping, ect. Never mind. We all have your own taste. Some people like to stay near a good coffee spot, who knows, right? 2. The room and the view. Just tags - calm, quite, private, art, pillow on windowsill, turn down, beautiful cleaning lady, easy to use safe, awesome bathroom, Villeroy & Boch, UK, comfy bed. I feel sorry that I couldn't spent more time in the room. I chose the top floor and the view was outstanding. I even saw a Lenin near wrong watch on the top of "Red Square" building from my window. Did you know that there is a Lenin statue in nyc? I didn't till now. 3. Staff. Separately. Why? I'm not particularly bothered them this my questions. But when I did, they were very helpful. 4. Wifi. Allright, speedtest shows 50mbit/s. It's enough for me and for any hotel. 5. Space. Yeah, it's 330 square feet. Huge for nyc. You aware that I'm saying about. And I think it's not about top floor it's the same size for all rooms. Overall. I might be wrong and Keira Knightley for sure but I liked it. Yeah, It's pricey but when you leave it you know you got what you paid for. It's totally worth it. And if I can not afford it some day I'll just book the lower floor, the view is not the only reason to come back. You really should never staying in the hotel like this because then all you want is the hotel like this.
I had a breakfast here once. You ask me who does that? If you are in nyc you have to eat outside. It's more interesting. Yeah... I agree. But once. So, it was just ok - no more. Balthazar, Cafe Gitane, Lombardi's Pizza, Ed's Lobster Bar, Georgetown Cupcake, Spring Street Natural - great choice in a minute from hotel. Even Dean & DeLuca grocery store.
Excellent room - well stocked with everything I could need and very comfortable beds and large bathrooms and shower. Perfect location for exploring Soho / and the Villages. Great Conceirge service.
The restaurant service and food was not up to it's usual quality. For breakfast in the restaurant they were understaffed and it was a long and painful wait even to get a coffee. The staff were not friendly at all. Following this experience we ordered breakfast in our room.
Concierge were amazing nothing was too much trouble .
Our go to hotel in NYC. We have stayed there several times and find it wonderful every time. Beautiful decoration, friendly staff, and lovely restaurant. The neighborhood cannot be beat.
No bath tub, only shower, but bathroom is lovely.
The hotel and staff were wonderful. Breakfast was great. Decor is lovely.
They were filming a movie in the street outside the hotel. The lights were very bright outside the hotel all night long and it was a bit noisy. Traffic around the hotel was very congested due to the movie shoot.
Hard pressed to find much that I liked
I didn't feel so much as it was customer service but more like customer assaulting . There were some nice staff but they were in the minority unfortunately. I still have an unresolved dispute about being overcharged for their car service
Classy and cosy in a vibrant enviroment. Super place!
We loved everything about this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel and hope to stay here again in the near future.
Staff, location, design&detalis Beautiful bar: try it It is the best boutique hotel in New York
loved the décor and the location is fabulous
Floor to ceiling windows, chic decor, garden, location, complimentary Evian at turndown
Price is pretty steep, even compared to other NY 5-star hotels, some staff was AMAZING while others were a bit aloof or snobbish
Excellent rooms and facilities.
Staff is arrogant and lazy. It seems they don't like their job too much.
The comforts of home.....
Personal gift in room only for a man?
The location is great close to restaurants and boutiques in one of the nicest areas of NYC . Rooms are comfortable and clean. Most of staff are friendly except some at concierge desk
The concierge desk is one of the worst I have seen in 5 star hotels. We where told that we have confirmed reservations for dinner where in reality they did not even book it. Every time we asked for something the would say "let me get back to you " and never do.
Room recently refurbished to a very high standard. Fantastic location and we will definitely stay there again whenever we are back in New York
Breakfast service was a bit off - waiter forgot part of our order and tried to blame everyone else for his mistake - so we discovered great places for breakfast nearby!
Everything except for completely sub-standard performance of two staff at hotel's restaurant on final day of our stay. All other staff very good.
Waiter at restaurant at lunch on Friday 16 May let an otherwise excellent hotel down badly: insolent attitude; rude. No place for staff like this in an hotel like this. Girl at front desk of restaurant also lacked grace. Restaurant staff at other times were good.
Streets outside very dirty
Everything. Fantastic as always.
If I didn't like everything I wouldn't keep coming back.
I loved everything about it! The taste in furnishings and wallpapers. The beautiful dogs everywhere. I will definitely be back. Dinner and breakfast were amazing too.
That I was only there for one night!
I love this hotel for it's location, beauty, artwork, courtyard, beautiful rooms. the breakfast was great, although expensive for a continental breakfast.
the beds aren't exactly king sized even though they tell you that they are European kings! They should be regular kings!
