Eclectic decor, the colours, the art and their frames, the bed, oh the bed, the black warehouse windows, the power shower, toiletries, peacefulness, views over the roof tops, fast internet, breakfast, wonderfully polite helpful staff
Had to ask for extra toiletries, slow service in guests sitting room. The Espresso coffee machine was missing?
Everything. I simply adore Firmdale Hotels in London and this one in NYC. Beds are heavenly! And bathrooms are always big, comfortable and beautiful.
You cannot get a location better in Soho. The rooms are not super large, but are well appointed. The concierges are friendly as are the rest of the staff.
This hotel is infinitely more expensive than many others in its class, with fewer bells and whistles.
Great staff, lovely and comfortable rooms to hang out in. Fabulous decor! Eye catching art everywhere.
We stayed for four nights on the 8th floor. I consider it one of the best hotels in New York. Modern design, art and a truely luxurious Interior. A grat experience with nothing to complain about. Only thing missing was a coffee maker in the room. It was just not available.
No coffee maker. I would have expected that service in a deluxe top floor room. That should be standard.
Gorgeous room. Light, bright with floor to ceiling windows. Very nice staff.
Low quality (rough) toilet paper--odd in a hotel of this standard
Clean and convenient.
We stayed for four days and didn't feel a particularly warm welcome by staff, who seemed formal and correct rather than friendly. Able to hear next door bathroom
The room was lovely and clean and the reception desk was pleasant. The gym was very adequate and the the housekeeping staff was extraordinary. You simply cannot find a better location.
The gentlemen at the concierge desk were completely off putting. The blank stares and the complete lack of attentiveness and communication was strange and unacceptable. I'm not sure if I will return to this location.
Location and Interiors
My lunch was just ok not hot and service was slow
Food was amazing!
Amenities like shampoo and bath gel quality not too good..
Location, design and ambience.
You never want to leave!
Teh hotel design is fabulous, great romos, nicely appointed, great views from huge Windows, great bar, excellent staff, best barman in Sogo (Miguel), location, location, location
Great location, great courtyard dining, great food, and quiet.
We were going to book an eighteen day stay, but after realizing you cannot rent new movies, we had to cancel. The four other hotels in this price range all had new VOD systems.
The comfort; elegance; facilities and super fast free wifi
Loved the location and felt safe traveling alone
Poor service at breakfast
The hotel was beautiful the rooms were very spacious just our style we have stayed at a lot of upscale trendy NYC hotels and this should have been on the top of our list but its not.
The staff was not helpful ,some needed an attitude adjustment,it started at check in, everytime we asked a question we got answers but not to the questions we asked I really wanted to complain to the manager but didn't want to spoil the stay more. There were a few exceptions that were great. We are native NYers not out of towners so its not like we are not with the program
Location staff attention Manager and Assistant Manager absolutely in a class of their own
I just felt at home in the suite bedroom and loved the decoration. Great service and lovely concierge staff.
I little to pricy, but so different than traditional impersonal hotels.
Someday I saw Keira Knightley walked out of this place. I did a note in my phone then I googled it and here I am. 1. Location. If you can afford staying in the city it's already be great. Wherever you are, you can catch a taxi, get a citibike or subway - plenty of choice. But after sometime you'll find your favorite district to stay. I like to staying in the Village, but I tried Soho this time. Brick, glass, architecture, interesting people, places, food, art, shopping, ect. Never mind. We all have your own taste. Some people like to stay near a good coffee spot, who knows, right? 2. The room and the view. Just tags - calm, quite, private, art, pillow on windowsill, turn down, beautiful cleaning lady, easy to use safe, awesome bathroom, Villeroy & Boch, UK, comfy bed. I feel sorry that I couldn't spent more time in the room. I chose the top floor and the view was outstanding. I even saw a Lenin near wrong watch on the top of "Red Square" building from my window. Did you know that there is a Lenin statue in nyc? I didn't till now. 3. Staff. Separately. Why? I'm not particularly bothered them this my questions. But when I did, they were very helpful. 4. Wifi. Allright, speedtest shows 50mbit/s. It's enough for me and for any hotel. 5. Space. Yeah, it's 330 square feet. Huge for nyc. You aware that I'm saying about. And I think it's not about top floor it's the same size for all rooms. Overall. I might be wrong and Keira Knightley for sure but I liked it. Yeah, It's pricey but when you leave it you know you got what you paid for. It's totally worth it. And if I can not afford it some day I'll just book the lower floor, the view is not the only reason to come back. You really should never staying in the hotel like this because then all you want is the hotel like this.
I had a breakfast here once. You ask me who does that? If you are in nyc you have to eat outside. It's more interesting. Yeah... I agree. But once. So, it was just ok - no more. Balthazar, Cafe Gitane, Lombardi's Pizza, Ed's Lobster Bar, Georgetown Cupcake, Spring Street Natural - great choice in a minute from hotel. Even Dean & DeLuca grocery store.
Excellent room - well stocked with everything I could need and very comfortable beds and large bathrooms and shower. Perfect location for exploring Soho / and the Villages. Great Conceirge service.
The restaurant service and food was not up to it's usual quality. For breakfast in the restaurant they were understaffed and it was a long and painful wait even to get a coffee. The staff were not friendly at all. Following this experience we ordered breakfast in our room.
Concierge were amazing nothing was too much trouble .
Our go to hotel in NYC. We have stayed there several times and find it wonderful every time. Beautiful decoration, friendly staff, and lovely restaurant. The neighborhood cannot be beat.
No bath tub, only shower, but bathroom is lovely.
