The rooms were very clean. Staff was very friendly and very helpful.
Didn't like I had to pay for parking or sign up to get free wi-fi. That should already come with the price you already pay. Which is not cheap.
Everything, check in and the staff were fantastic, courteous. The grounds and hotel were FANASTIC it was like being in the islands. The amenities were top notch, the food and drink were great. The shuttle service to different parts of SanDiego wad great. We will be recommending Crowne Plaza to friends, and we will be back in the future
That our stay was so short
Issues with our wifi the first night but resolved
The location we very convenient for trips to anywhere in San Diego. Front desk girl was able to change out room location to a room with a view overlooking tomhe pool. Although the room was a queen double when we previously requested a King. The room was very spacious though and the bed sizes were sufficient.
The Room- Spacious and nice. Seemed clean except for the wad of hair sitting on top of the trash bin! Also a huge complaint about the bathroom. When you turn on the light there is a fan that comes on at the same time. The fan sounds like a big 747 taking off. You can hear it all the way to the balcony with the door closed. The Bar- The evening of our arrival we went to the bar to have some late dinner and drinks. We sat at a table and wait staff passed us numerous times without even acknowledging us. When I finally was able to flag someone he said (in broken English/Spanish) "I'm not a wait staff." I finally flagged down a wait staff and all he did was tapped my table and walked away. I flagged him down again and he said I'm not your waiter he's at the bar. He'll be over in a minute. When he finally came over he was actually very nice. The restaurant - The next morning we decided to go to The Islands restaurant for the breakfast buffet. Big mistake! We waited at the "please wait to be seated" sign for about 5 min before being even acknowledged. Then the busboy called to us from a distance sit anywhere. So we sat at a table near the window. And sat, and sat, and sat... We waited for a good 10 minutes without even being acknowledged. This is while other patrons arrived and were seated with menus and asked if they would like the breakfast buffet. We ended up walking out. Not before taking a look at the breakfast buffet spread though. Stale overheated Eggs Benedict looking thing, overripe fruit and nothing much else to mention on the buffet. We made complaints to the front desk manager (supervisor) about the two incidents. She apologized and said they would let the restaurant manager know. While the restaurant was a horrible experience the rest of our stay was good.
The hotel was very nice and clean. The room was very comfy. Great location close to everything.
I love location and the rooms where clean. The staff was very nice. I slept very comfortable. I will be back
It needs some renovation where fountains are, it looks green.Maybe converting it into a Zen area where people can hang out at the tables by the canoe fountain area to have amazing Kona coffee. I was looking up the huge chandelier by front desk when I was checking in and noticed it looked like it had not been cleaned in years. I guess coming from Vegas and parents being in the hospitality field hotel appearance is 1st impression. I guess those little details are somewhat important.
Bed is comfy
Front desk staff . They need to smile and greet customers . They look like a robot/ machines . No emotions at all. No fridge in my room .
I did not like the fact that they didn't have the offer of free breakfast like other hotels.
Spent two days with my family and we have a great time but we consider this hotel stock in the 80s. Cheap TV. A/C to noise. Forniture might have been a good idea in the 70s. Carpet requires inmediate change.
The hallways and elevators were very dirty. I think they should be sipped down and cleaned more often
I loved the lounge and bar, also the front desk staff was super friendly! Our room was cleaned to perfection and the bed was super confy
The elevators were pretty slow.
The staff is super friendly and always willing to help.
If anyone got complaints about this place they lie. I am stayng at a property in Anaheim as I type this and wish it was Crowne Plaza San Diego. The spanish people who work there are warm and loving they care and make it personal. Here in Anaheim there is no love what so ever
facility was good overall.
no refrigerator or microwave in room.
The hotel somehow feels like a luxury student appartement with a pool and jacuzzi in the middle. It features a small shop selling elementary food and cosmetics stuff, and it even offers a coin laundry in one corner...
- No fridge in the appartement. - Meeting rooms cooled to a freezing point (or so it felt). - limited choice of food in a weak breakfast buffet - pool opens quite late (at 9 AM), so no swimming before breakfast.
Clean and a nice view.
Maintenance external gardens and painting could be updated.
Pool, islands, staff
Room was to simple.
The extra bed (rolling bed) is very dirty, smell urine, pillow that comes with the rolling bed is used one, smelly and dirty. This is not acceptable at all.
Hotel is on need of some deep cleaning, particularly the roof and structure. It looks dirty. My room looked out over pool and everything at eye level looked old and in dire need of a pressure washing.
Hotel was in a great location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean as was the amenities in the hotel.
Seems like the hotel could use some sprucing up in some areas. Dishes in lobby restaurant were chipped, some walls needed painting, but the rooms were good.
location to San Diego activités and staff was very knowledgeable and helpful
pool was too cold even for kids
Beautiful landscape and friendly staff
Had to pay for parking and no complimentary breakfast
The staff was extremely friendly. I liked there was a tram to pick us up and drop us off. We had a very clean room and T.V. worked great.
Beautiful, tropical landscaping. Short drive to zoo, old town, and great dining.
The property was very old & dirty. The room was clean but smelled musty from old carpet.
everyone was so accomadating and friendly. It was wonderful. we went on a weekend when the place was sold out and we needed 2 queen beds and they booked us with a king bed. well the clerk she gave us a parlor room with a coach and a roll away bed at no extra charge. it was way above and beyond what she had to do for us. keep up the good work!
