It is located above I-90 (literally) and the Train line into Boston. Incredibly loud from trucks and trains. Two nights of no sleep. They need to find away to keep the noise coming in form the wall mounted heating units. Will never stay again.
Friendly staff, comfortable room, value price for quality. Although others complain about the highway, we fell asleep fine.
Breakfast was very expensive for buffet. Breakfast eating area seemed poorly organized. Parking lot under construction

For my personal situation, the location close to BC and Newton is ideal.
I find the high parking rate per night to be a bit much. Everything in the hotel is great and the staff were also friendly and 100% there for us when we needed them.
Room was clean and of above satisfactory size.
No refrigerator, no microwave. Noisy due to location over I-90. Fire alarm system too loud and much too frequent... repeating the same message every 8-10 seconds forever! Check-in and -out were too long.

I did not sleep very well as my room was right over the Mass Pike. I had a bad experience at breakfast and it was known and I received a complimentary breakfast. The rooms were small. The location was difficult to get to coming from Watertown.

The Newton Crowne Plaza [“CP”] support staff, such as the bellmen and housekeeping, was courteous, professional, and hard-working. Other than the constant late night/early morning dramatic noise of vehicles on the expressway directly underneath the hotel, I believe the hotel was reasonably well maintained and certainly convenient to one of our intended destinations.
Only about 2 or 3 of the 6-8 front desk employees we interacted with were similarly courteous, professional, hard-working, and well-intentioned as their support staff. The management personnel, particularly Simon Rodrigues, were incompetent, discourteous, unprofessional, rude, short-sighted, and/or anything but “guest” oriented. Mr. Rodrigues, as well as potentially other unknown management personnel, proved to be vindictive, spiteful, and retaliatory toward me when I rightfully requested dispensation for the failure of the CP staff [in particular, a front desk employee by the name of “Grace”] to hold my room for a late check-in our first night due to our LA to Boston air travel. Succinctly, although I booked these accommodations through Booking.com back on July 15th, and seemingly despite my vigilant confirmation telephone calls to CP front desk person “Grace” the early afternoon of our arrival date September 10th/11th, CP overbooked their facility and did not provide the McNamaras the room they had contracted for - - i.e., with two double beds. Moreover, the initial front desk personnel, one named “Ronald,” expressly confirmed that the “day staff” overbooks as hotel policy. Consequently, we were discourteously and indifferently delayed accommodations for almost an hour after check-in. I was relegated to sleep on a convertible sofa bed (extremely uncomfortable and noisy). The next day it took Harpjeef Kaco [??] no less than three (3) trips by the McNamaras to three separate rooms to finally deliver our room with two double beds. Then, two nights later, management retaliated against me and had the Newton PD rudely [and I use that term extremely conservatively] escort me off the property for an alleged act I unequivocally did not commit. Clearly, a certain group of management personnel at CP orchestrated a most reprehensible and disrespectful act toward me in response to my justified complaints/request for fair allowance.

The highway running under the hotel was VERY noisy. We were on the fourth floor and the traffic noise was very loud. There was no refrigerator or microwave in the room.

Easy access to Fenway. The bus stop is across the street. It makes getting getting to the game easy. Max and Leo's brick oven pizza is right next door and is great.
