The staff at reception desk is friendly, he is very nice people.
Pay for WiFi and cost of parking.
Paying for parking ,Internet and Continental breakfast
Proximity if different things to do in the area.
Paying for wifi
The room was comfortable.
I thought the hotel was big and unfriendly. the shuttle took an age to come and it was freezing. I was asked to pay for wifi because I had booked through booking.com rather than directly with the thotel. I showed that the ticket holder said there was free wifi and reluctantly was given 'just this time'.
Room furniture and hotel location
We loved the bathroom, usually in hotels the bathroom doesn't get the proper attention to detail and can fall in the bland category, this was not the case here. The bed was loaded with pillows which we appreciated, and every surface was spotless.
Around 5am, we were awoken by another hotel guest yelling at another guest which went on until 5:30am, we had made sure to ask for a quiet room on a higher floor away from busy streets so we would not be woken early on our vacation, however we were unable to enjoy our morning due to pure rudeness of another guest.
Crowne plaza staff were great at check in, they had a slight problem in locating an open room for us but it was quickly resolved. The slight delay resulted in our receiving free parking for our stay. The room was comfortable with a great view from the top floor, it was a tad small for 2 queen beds but comfortable nonetheless. The common areas of the hotel were very clean and smelled of aromatherapy scents that were quite nice, staff was very polite and helpful whenever we had questions or concerns as well.
We were disappointed in the pool area as we had been advised there was a hot tub, alas there was not and the pool area itself was freezing inside. The towel area was sparsely stocked and the towels ran out so it was quite cold upon exiting the pool and walking thru standing water on the pool deck was freezing! It was single digit temps outside so I'm sure that had some bearing on the inside temperature but the whole experience was rather cold and disappointing. The meal we had at Chicago Brick Oven was good, I was expecting better for the price. The cedar planked salmon was dry but did have nice flavor, the shrimp scampi pasta was not hot just warm. The French onion soup was tasty though and everyone enjoyed the pizza stuffed potato skins. We did have an issue with the cleanliness of the shower, there was something dried on the main wall of the shower that my husband reported to the front desk and asked the cleaning staff to address when they cleaned the room, it was still there when we checked after the room had been made up. We ended up wiping the wall down ourselves, not sure what it was but it did come clean with hot water and a wash cloth.
bathroom beds clean /conforterable
Near the airport. Shuttle is good.
Breakfast is very poor. Restaurant workers are not professional.
I didn't like that we had to pay for parking. I think staying at the hotel parking should automatically be included for your guests.
- fridge that you can use - bathtub - pool - clean - control your temp - water and ice machine located outside your room
- booking.Com said that there was a dvd player in the room, crowne does not have dvd players in any room. This caused me to waste money on rentals - might be a personal problem, but I've stayed at this hotel 3 different times (including this time) and 2 out of three times I have gotten very sick. Fever, leaky nose, etc. - you have to pay $13 for wifi
If you're looking for a hotel that's upscale, quiet, comfortable, conveniently located to entertainment and shopping, with excellent customer service, then look no further! Ask for Alex if you have any questions or concerns!
The Internet isn't free unless you are a ihg member. Usage fees in the business center. However, they do allow you 10 free minutes before they charge you a per minute fee. And you can print boarding passes for free.
Hard to find entrance to the drive. Gps was not the same
The food at Chicago Fire was excellent!
Efficient check in and check out, timely airport shuttle and friendly driver. Waiter at restaurant was excellent. We were the last table, late, and he was very gracious- a special thank you to that waiter.
Food at restaurant was so-so, but I have to admit that 10:30 pm, anything edible was welcome.
The amenities were great the pool was clean and warm. Breakfast was excellent. Local area has restaurants and is close to the transit lines for easy access to the Chicago attractions.
Would like to park without paying when I stay
the staff were polite and extremely helpful. wish I could have stayed another night just to relax.
food and coffee at the restaurant was way to expensive. never should have to pay $5.00for a small cup of coffee. (large coffee comes in a small cup)
The room was nice.
I called ahead to confirm where I should park and I was told to park in the parking garage and that the hotel open lot was for overflow. I did this and had to walk with my bags a very long distance to get to the hotel since the garage doesn't attach to the hotel. I had to contact all my guests and tell them not to park in the garage after all. When I arrived at the front desk and explained the situation, I was given a vip parking pass to park in the front of the hotel. However, I was behind schedule at this point due to all the confusion and extra walking so I didn't have time to move my car. I was able to give the pass to another guest. I was also told we would be shuttled to Toby Keith's for our Company Christmas Party since by this point we were behind schedule. When I came back down to inquire about the shuttle, I inquired with the desk my the door who I believe was the shuttle driver, he went and talked with a few people and then completely forgot about me, so I then walked to Toby Keith's. I ended up being 30 min late to my own company party. I then was charged on my credit card for parking and had to call and have it removed. The next evening, I stayed at the Hilton O'Hare next door and had much better service.
breakfast was good
STAFF PERSON, YOUNG LADY WORKING EVENING SHIFT VERY HELPFUL. CHANGED ROOM FOR US. GOT DIRECTIONS TO DRUG STORE FOR US. VERY HELPFUL AND PLEASANT. DID NOT GET HER NAME.
Clean and comfortable room with a friendly staff.
Internet may or may not be free - it depends on your booking. If not free it is $12.95. Once you enter you room # and name it is charged to your room. The desk clerk was very understanding and removed the charge when we explained our confusion.
The staff here was so happy and friendly from the moment we arrived to the minute we left. The rooms were cute and cozy, the perfect set up for a weekend get away or long term stay. Not to mention a great location, walking distance from the fashion outlet. Perfect. I would definitely recommend Crowne Plaza Chicago O'Hare!
