Score from 92 reviews Very good
great location, good facilities
Air in room a bit stuffy and air conditioning was turning on and off regularly making sleeping difficult
Rooms are clean and comfortable
A bit run down compared to other Crowne Plaza Hotels
The room and hotel was nice and clean, staff was friendly and helpful.
The gym was no good. They had a few cardio machines and some were broken or out of order. The weight machine was a risk to anyone using it. No towels and no complimentary water even though they advertise this. No free weights at all, basically it's just to say they have a gym when there really isn't one, it's disappointing as it was the main reason for staying here.
Stayed at this hotel for just over a week and I regret not going somewhere else. Room was damaged, WIFI only worked on one occasion, breakfast was terrible and staff were very rude, room service was terrible and staff were very rude. If you're staying in downtown Dallas, choose one of the other many hotels there.
My room had a musty stale smell. There were not enough lifts for the number of guests in the hotel (there were conventions on over the weekend I stayed there), so the long wait times. I tried to take the stairs on one occasion (even though I was on one of the high floors) and couldn't access my floor from their stairwell.
Good location for jfk memorial, restaurants etc
Staff were very flexible and helpful. Despite booking for single occupancy was given two double beds - BONUS!
No fault to complain given price point
Good location and price.
The bathroom did not have a vent that worked. So it was humid in the room after a shower. The room smelled of air freshener when we entered the room--so much so, it was irritating my nose and throat.
Liked that the staff took care of my issue with booking preference and gave me a room of my choice. Liked the location and free shuttle service Very nice staff in Thrive restaurant. Enjoyed the bar but not the bar tender.
The food was not that great and the breakfast had limited choices. Bad coffee.
Price. House keeping. Parking employees.
The staff was the best! So nice and helpful at all times! The shuttle took us wherever we needed to go and it was a great experience!
Very Comfortable, friendly staff, clean, quiet
Breakfast was cold.
No insulation between rooms, I could hear everything the kids were saying in the next room.
I loved having not having to go outside in the rainy weather after parking the car. We took the elevator to the Lobby and easily checked in. The rooms are quiet and we didn't hear much noise from the hallway. Excellent food in the dining room.
I think that $16 per day to pay for parking on a weekend is a bit high.
not much I didn't like very much about this that people were unfriendly I didn't get the price I was promised I had to pay for parking I didn't get the breakfast the bed was uncomfortable the bathroom was small overall it was a terrible experience for me
almost everything the person at the front desk was rude the person in the bar was rude the bathroom was tiny the bed was uncomfortable I didn't get the deal that I was promised I had to pay extra for parking it was really terrible
Finding a decent place downtown for a reasonable price is difficult but Crowne Plaza made it possible. The location is excellent (when I went however, there was a lot of construction - digging up the DART rail - that led to sidewalk closures adjacent to the hotel). Staff is very professional and accommodating. Sheets were clean, water pressure and temp were excellent, and we had a restful night. Elevators need access key to reach guest floors.
Hallway lights and carpets felt old and musty. Room carpets and curtains felt dirty and the room smelled odd (bedsheets were clean!). Saturday night, the lobby got filled with club-goers (they have a rather popular nightclub).
They offered a shuttle ride in the downtown area. Good breakfast!
Hotel was not clean, from the elevator walkways to the room, it was very dirty.
We were on the 18th floor by request. Lots of noise from the street and a joining rooms and hallways. housekeeping did a nice job but very late in the afternoon. restaurant was excellent for lunch.
hotel guest are not alerted of high parking fees on site
Cleanliness needs improve
value for the money.
No central lighting in the room. I had to turn on all the bed lamps for light.
Staff was very always very helpful, responsive and courteous.
Van schedule was misleading or not helpful. We had to have another hotel bring us home from a function and pay them because our van wouldn't accommodate even though we were told they would.
Comfortable bed. The hotel was close to the JFK Museum and the arts precinct. We used the local shuttle service to take us to a restaurant the night we checked in. The concierge was quite helpful re where to eat dinner and breakfast.
None of the special requests we noted on our booking form were arranged at check-in. We wanted rooms on the same floor, two queen bed rooms, a late check-out. We spent the first hour negotiating with reception staff who did eventually go some way to meeting our requests. The part of Elm Street and area around the hotel entrance is pretty seedy and the hotel is run down.
The confort was optimal, good bed. The personal was friendly. A good hotel in resume.
I was in a room with a door that could be opened from another room. The noises from the room next door were very upset. Everything else was fine. They should offer breakfast.
Staff were lovely. Room was high off the ground (10th floor) so quiet. Close to the American Airline Arena. Valet staff were nice.
The bathroom could use an update; very very old. No safe in the room either.
