Big spacious room and roomy bathroom
There were renovations going on which I was not told about when I called the hotel the day before to confirm my reservation. The outdoor renovations were "closed" down around 5pm so noise wasn't a problem. The problem was that they were updating some kind of wiring inside the hotel and there were wires hanging from the ceiling on my floor in lots of places, ceiling dust and wood was also all over the floor. This gave the whole interior a dirty, dusty smell and look. I may return once all of the renovations are complete, but I felt that the staff should have given me the renovation information so that I could have made the decision to stay there or not!
Popcorn ceilings, old ac unit with wires sticking out. Need major upgrade to paint and wall paper. Pillows were horrible. Crabby job of tiling in bathroom.
The convenience of the hotel that was hosting the music conference we attended. Also, there are many restaurants and stores close to this location.
The front desk lady, Adryon, was not friendly when I checked in and very rude when I checked out. I understand if you cannot grant a request, but you do not have to be snippy about it. Also, when a customer remarks that you could have a nicer attitude then you should probably not answer by arguing that there is nothing wrong with your attitude! The paper in my room said to send a text message to the general manager if there were any issues, but no one ever responded to the text. Kind of silly to tell people you will have the manager on duty respond right away ("Be prepared to be delighted!" the letter states) if that person does not respond. Also, I was not happy with the 20% gratuity added to the Buffet! I understand adding a 15% gratuity and some places add 18% for large parties, but 20% seemed excessive.
The gym is excellent. Location is good. Staff very friendly
Loud drunks in hallway Friday night before LSU -Bama game.
The food was not so good. No taste to it
The staff friendly and accomodating
A little too noisey
I loved my spacious and clean room! I was so comfortable and got more rest than needed. Check in was quick and I didn't have to worry about any hidden fees. Love it. I will certainly be back soon!
No free breakfast. Plus the price of room service was ridiculous...$9 For a biscuit and coffee. Seriously?
Only negative was the remodeling of the front lobby. It was a little inconvenient but the hotel had staff members readily available to help navigate the construction. I consider this a very minor issue.
Hotel was under construction which made getting to and from our room difficult. The breakfast buffet was misleading as there was no notification there is an extra cost until check out. Will not be staying here again.
Location and proximity to city sites, college, restuarants, etc.
Late night party folks running up and down the halls. The doors to the rooms are very heavy and slam loudy. We had to call security on our neighbors twice, not sure anyone did anything about it after the first call at midnight. They did send security up at 2:30 AM. Staff was not very simpathetic.
The hotel was ok. Nothing really wrong.
It is too expensive and is not worthy to pay. Price is not adequate to services.
Location. Courteous staff
I liked that a shuttle was included to get us to and from the concert we were there for.
We were not sure about what was available in the area in the way of shopping and other facilities.
That may dog was able to stay with us. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom in very good shape. Housekeeping checked in with us even thou we had the do not disturb sign on the door for the dog. Good location/close to stores, restaurants.
Should have had free meals for participants of National American Miss delivered in between sessions. Breakfast buffet expensive for items available to choose from . A/C was confusing in room. Took a while to figure out to work thermostat on wall vs by window. Microwave was unplugged & broken/maintenance came to replace it. When I called for reservations a man answered & said the room rate that was on paperwork not being honored since pageant was close. He would not let me do early check in or late check out even though I had indicated we were bringing a dog. I hung up and went thru booking.com & had to pay for Monday night even though we checked out after the pageant. Check out was slow . Older lady was rude in stating no matter what i would still be charged for the room tonight. She asked for payment and was surprised that i had paid cash when i came in. Elevators were hot and extremely slow.
Bed was good
Same breakfast everyday. Charge 2 times for trip to airport. Paid cash and they charged my CR.
Very nice fitness facility
The hotel was in a very nice location.
I did not like the surcharge of $4.95 per night for "parking and security". Really??!! This info was not disclosed during booking...actually "free parking and onsite security" was mentioned.
The room was clean, I liked the fitness center, the location is good but is very close to the interstate so that can be a pro or a con. There is adequate parking and no fee. Restaurants are nearby as well as some shopping areas.
The staff was not very attentive and efficient. I was standing in line waiting to check-in and the guy working the desk was assisting another guest with a bill issue but never acknowledged me. After a few moments another employee came out and instead of asking me if I needed help, he asked the woman who walked up behind me if she needed help. I interjected and told him that he could help me since I had been waiting. I gave him my credit card to pay for the room, he did not properly swipe the card so as soon as I got up to my room I got a phone call asking me to come back down because the card wasn't entered correctly. This was annoying to say the least and would influence my decision to stay there in the future. Like most businesses, it's the people that really impact the outcome. Most hotels of similar level offer the same amenities, cleanliness etc., but the staff is the one component that cannot be duplicated. Thankfully I only stayed one night, therefore my exposure to the mediocre service was limited.
