There was a great restaurant called Picos a five-minute walk away and the front desk staff was very friendly.
The hotel hallways smelled of chemicals (fumigation?) and the room was horribly dated and dingy. It looked so bad the first thing I did was check for bed bugs. The washroom had no working fan. The carpets should have been replaced 10 years ago and had a build up of lint, staples and other dirt where the floor meets the wall. I would have left but it was already paid for. I found it shocking for the brand.
The maintenance people were very rude to say the least, I turned on a Lamp in the room and it shorted out, causing a complete power loss of my room, maintenance accused me of having to many things plugged in, which was not the case. Needless to say I will not stay at this Crown Plaza again.
I liked the floor we were on - high at top. Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Nice towels & great pillows.
Fridge was very small. Microwave was old. Staff needs its own, separate elevator - elevator always seems to stop at least once for housekeeping.
The restaurant, with the included buffet breakfast and the dinner menu with good choices, was ideal for us.
Nothing serious ... but your WIFI was just a bit slow when we used it.
Beds were comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating.
The Vallet Supervisors are HORRIBLE. This is the only area of this hotel that needs MAJOR work. This is the 1st and last people your guest see... they should be friendly and helpful. I didn't get any of that from them.. when I asked about 2 in particular I was SHOCKED to hear they were both supervisors. Worst experience with a valet in my life. I will not return!!
Beds were very uncomfortable!
Front desk helped organise all my tours and food delivered was top-notch.
Right on the main road but that was also handy
The guest service clerk was more help than her manager. She went beyond what was expected of her to help the nasty situation that occurred.
Where to start? First the pricing that was presented to us on booking.com was inaccurate. Not the websites problem but on the hotel side. They overcharged us an additional $50 per room at check in. To top that off, the manger was called over to assist us and he was more trouble than it was worth. He was very rude and unwilling to help the situation at all. It came to a point when we were just ready to ask for a refund and go back home. Than according to the website the rooms were supposed to be ready by 3pm, we checked in at 4 & the rooms were still not ready. They moved us around and put us in other rooms, but one of the rooms was a smoking room and smelled badly.
Concierge Raul was most helpful person.very professional.
the staff at the breakfast were miserable and service was very poor.this was a disappointing and it was not the breakfast was for free as I paid for it.
Bit expensive for what you get
Staff was very helpful
The bathrooms need updated.
hotel has small windows
Didn't have a king room available even though that's what I booked, rude staff person when I called to request a new room, extremely loud closing doors made for a very noisy night, restaurant food was terrible, room was not very clean. We won't stay there again.
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Bartenders were friendly. Room Service and Bar Food was tasty and reasonably priced Close to a lot fo things with easy access to main highways
I wish I could have stayed a few more days.
Location was great to proximity of our New Year Eve parties. The check-in was smooth despite several of us waiting to check-in rooms. The front desk was very professional. The single king was a very spacious room & temperature control worked effortlessly.
The garage is pretty tight & requires careful navigation. The clock radio was pretty extensive and consider myself tech savy. They might need to keep a booklet in the nightstand.
Checking in and out was a breeze.
There was a soaked dirty looking wash cloth on the floor when we forst walked in.
The staff was very pleasant and professional. Very clean and room service was excellent. I would gladly suggest Crown Plaza and I'm looking forward to my next stay there
the place is dirty and the furniture is very old. Room Service unqualified: pillows and shorts on the floor !!
We had a great time ... 》 visits to Lakewood Church and bookstore 》 jogging tour to Rice University campus
Location, location, location!
Although my reservation said breakfast was included, the hotel did NOT honor, or was not aware, of this detail. We were told we would get $5 parking due to conference attendance, but we were charged the full $9. Front desk clerk was indifferent. Toilet kept running, slow drain in tub, had an "older hotel" feel.
Staff, location, rooms
Nothing I can say
Staff was very congenial.
The work out facility was below par.
