Very nice inside
I was a little shocked when I pulled up because the outside looked so old. But when I came inside it was better than I expected. I live in Seattle and our Crowne Plaza looks a little better.
Comfy bed, quiet room, friendly-helpful staff, great breakfast, excellent room amenities, great location.
The hotel is located with walking distance of many attractions and close to public transportation. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi every evening. The people at the front door were friendly and welcoming.
We had a terrible view. I guess someone has to.
The location, room and the bikes combined to make our stay extra special. The staff were all so helpful!
I liked the spaciousness of the hotel, it's great facilities and the room was very comfortable. We were offered complimentary drinks vouchers because of the check-in mishap. This was appreciated and thoughtful
Our booking could not be found on check-in. It was eventually resolved by the on duty manager.
location not worth the price would pay a little more for downtown hotel
The staff is friendly. The restaurant is decent. The beds are comfortable. Free dvd lending library at the front desk.
Our first room smelled heavily of smoke despite signing a cleaning waiver if we dared do anything of the sort in there. The building is older than the photos appear. $19 to self park your car overnight.
Horrible location, nothing was as advertised/ as booked. Will never be returning.
Helpfulnes of check in staff
The rooms were pretty and the staff very nice. Enjoyed the Market Place shop, very handy and some great ice cream options! Happy there was parking as well.
Our room was on the freeway side, so lots of freeway noise. Perhaps updated windows would cut down on that. Also, did not like that we could not open the windows for fresh air.
Staff was excellent!
Too far from downtown Portland to walk
We loved the facilities of the hotel! The pool and the gym are nice and was fun using them after a long day of walking in the city. The concierge was very helpful (I wouldn't take the small pink 'hip off/on' bus tour). Also - the prices in the hotel bar is very fair and not too expensive (about 9$ for pizza for 2 people).
The hotel is little far from Pioneer Square and Pearl area - and the train station is about 12 min walk. But - the hotel offer shuttles that takes you to where ever you need.
comfort of the beds. Shea, the bartender was very professional and is an asset to the establishment.
Dirty refrigerator. Dirty rag and dried red juice or wine left in the refrigerator. A clump of ice in the freezer compartment like it was partly thawed out and then refrozen. Red stains on the bathroom lightswitch and the wall beneath the lightswitch. We were given clean cups and glasses the second day although the dirty cups and glasses from the first day were not picked up. On the day we were checking out ( the checkout time is noon), the cleaning person insisted on trying to open our door (at 9:45 AM), without knocking, to see if we had left our room yet. When I opened the door and asked him what time checkout was, he just pointed to his list and told me that that room was on his list. VERY RUDE! When I pay that amount of money to stay in a hotel, my expectations are that I will have a clean room and the cleaning crew would have enough training to know to knock on my door before they try to enter my room. No, I will not stay here again.
Rowas not ready when we arrived. front desk staff and management had an attitude caring and rude!! Room had a bad odor like garbage. the hotel was no noisy a lot of noise from the freeway. I would not recommend staying at the Crowne Plaza.
Good staff , good location ,
Poor breakfast , they need to add more things other wise , every thing was good
No AC for three nights in a row and it was the hottest nights they had in Portland all summer. Still haven't been compensated - was told id get a 25 dollar refund even though I didn't sleep for three nights.
Good location for city centre and airport using public transport (MAX Red line) Nice breakfast for $9 if you book the night before Comfortable beds
Surrounding area not very exciting
Staff, consierge Shae in particular, was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and very comfortable. Coffee was good. Shower was good. We all slept well. Breakfast downstairs two mornings and it was very good both times. Restaurant staff was very friendly and efficient. Would stay here again, absolutely.
Unlimited Free Wifi
Very comfortable beds. Close to light rail and streetcars. Staff helpful when asked questions.
Construction next started very early in the morning. Also facing the freeway was a little noisy.
location, service, confort
price to high... wifi of extremely bad quality. for such an hotel, it is not acceptable to have such a bad internet access.
The food was very good and I liked the location.
I was injured by the hotel lobby elevator cab doors and the staff was more concerned about the spill from the drink that was knocked out of my hand then the fact that I was injured and the doors didn't operate properly.
Staff was excellent, area was in easy access to a Blue/Red line Max stop, bartender was friendly, restaurant had terrific food, shuttle was super convenient--not just to airport but to Powell's Books in town. Completely satisfied.
I was on the end of the building, 2nd floor, above the front entrance. It was LOUD. I could have moved, I'm sure, but I had earplugs and so just popped them in and I was fine. As accommodating as the staff was, I have no doubt that they would have switched rooms IF I would have asked.
