lower cost compared to other hotels ion the area

i left the wine I bought at Biltmore winery by front desk; we left hotel around 5:45pm on Monday. we called the front desk and lady who answered did not bother to look for it she forwarded the call to lost and lost and found did not call back until two days later. y the way my daughter who lives in Asheville we t to your hotel around 6 to 7 and found the bottles behind the front desk. why did your employee not call me back as I asked?

Resort is a blt dated. Long walks from lobby to room. Request room close to lobby if important.

construction was being done right outside our room. we specifically asked for a quiet room and were woken at 8 with drilling and hammering.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the B iltmore House and downtown Asheville. The facility is getting old but is clean and well maintained. I would recommend it for a weekend getaway.

The Sun day brunch was average at best. The items on the buffet were poor but the omlets were good.

Hotel staff and knowledge of area. relaxing stay - balcony room with breeze was wonderful.

I would prefer the spa be in the hotel. Because I had to leave the hotel to get to the spa I did not use the spa but definately would have had it been in the hotel proper.

I was not told that my card was going to be charged before check in. Then when I looked after putting down $50 in cash for incidentals my card had been authorized for it as well.

Breakfast bar was excellent and rooms decor was very nice. Staff very helpful.

My wife as for a mountain view and our view on the 5th floor was buildings. There was a bug in one bed when the wife turned down the sheets. THe bar food was below average. Chicken wings very poor.

The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The place was beautiful and very comfortable. The location was perfect - minutes from downtown and minutes from the Biltmore Estate. LOVED the shuttle to downtown all night long! So fun for me and my husband. We celebrated our one year wedding anniversary (we are 25) and were able to enjoy every bit of our trip together. Wonderful experience!

I do wish that the price was a little lower... so that I could afford to enjoy another stay much sooner... a girl can dream!

Overall is was an ok facility.

The internet was awful. It kept bumping me off every hour and for a few hours Friday night, wouldn't work. I called, and they said it was working at the front desk. When I stated that'd be fine if my room was at the front desk, they said they'd look into it and call me back. After 1/2 hour & no call, I called again, & was given to someone named Lori, who said "they'd get to it when they could, as she had 10 other things to do." They did fix it and she did call back, explaining that when they're full, they "sometimes need to reset it, which bumps everyone off & they can start over." Sounds like a lack of bandwidth to me. When I got up the next morning, my shower was unacceptable and I left early, going to another hotel. On a scale of 0-10, with freezing cold water being a zero & 10 being scalding hot, it was never better than a 4-5. If a hotel can't provide a basic service like a hot shower, I'll not give them any more business and couldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Both Lori & the desk agent in the morning offered me breakfast for my issues but I I told them I never eat breakfast & thought some rate discount was in order but since it was never offered, I didn't say anything and just won't stay there ever again.

I got a big room for a reasonable price.

I specifically instructed them not to charge the card, then upon checkout they told me that booking.com charges the card automatically, which I know is not true as I use the site for all my bookings.

The location and breakfast.

It was very noisy. Our room was next to the elevator and snack room so everytime someone used the elevator (which was constant) or went for ice we could hear it. The ice machine made a terrible, constant rumbling noise, guests running and screaming up and down the hallway; strange noises like staff moving furniture could be heard constantly. My family checked in at 8 P.M. and could not fall asleep due to all the noise. Finally, at 12:00 A.M. I got up to complain about the noise at reception. Luckily for us, there was a cancellation on the 4th floor. Even though we did not have the elevator or ice machine noise to deal with, we still heard noises from other rooms, like furniture being moved around, and very disrespectful guests running and screaming in the halls, very late into the night. I asked for compensation since it was a huge inconvenience to move my entire family in the middle of the night to another room, but was told since we booked through you they could not do anything for us except give us free breakfast, which I accepted. The manager on duty never got up to apologize for our situation, the rep had to go to her in her office which I could see from the lobby to tell her of our situation, which I thought was in bad taste and very unprofessional. I will never stay at this hotel again or book through Bookings.com because of the hotel not being able to help us because of us booking through you. Thanks.

Check in was terrible. Very disorganized. Lines of people in the lobby all waiting a turn at the front desk. This despite the fact that many were Priority Club members.

Tennis and workout facilities were excellent. Food was excellent. We purchased breakfast when we booked the room and the buffet was very good. Without that I believe it would have been costly.

The toilet paper was a very cheap quality. I was surprised because everything else was excellent quality. No exhust fan in bathroom - mirrows steamed up.

Throughout our stay, I described the Crowne Plaza as a resort for middle- class folks. It is not fancy, but the facilities are terrific. The spa and workout facility are remarkable (a full gym, three pools, a spa). The tennis courts (indoor and outdoor) are really good. The drive into Asheville is quick (10 minutes), yet the resort is an island unto itself (quiet, beautiful). Comfortable beds. Nice touches in the rooms (mini fridge, granite counters).

Structurally, we were surprised by how basic the buildings are--and in need of updating. Could not find a single beverage machine that worked, and in the middle of the day, the resort provides no meal or beverage service at all. Seems a bit daft for a resort. A benefit concert went on under our window until 10pm. Seems we might have been warned about that before checking in. Staff all seemed a bit harried.
