Quiet, Pleasant hotel. Property is close to close downtown Asheville, NC. Shuttles are available to take you to downtown to enjoy the night life if you choose to do so.

The staff were polite & friendly. The beds & pillows were great & ensured a great nights sleep. The hotel was clean. The breakfast was good and had a varied menu. There was a shuttle bus to the town centre. Requests & problems were dealt with quickly and efficiently.

Noisy air con in bedroom that went off & on during the night. Bar not opening til 2 pm! What about folk who would like a lunch time drink? Very small bar area for such a large hotel. No seats available if large groups went in. Bar staff measuring out brandy, whiskey & JD in silver measuring pots! This doesn't usually happen in US!

The bed was very comfortable and the view was nice. The size of the room was perfect!

There was not an elevator in our area of the hotel and we had a lot of things to bring in.

The room size was good as well as the breakfast buffet. Enjoyed the shuttle downtown although it was not free. Golf course was small but we did enjoy it. Overall not a bad experience. Is less then 2 miles from downtown.

Thought it was a little pricey for two nights. No one told us over the phone that they were having a tennis tournament while we were there and location was very crowded. Never could get ice because all the players used it all. Did not have a very good view from our king executive room.

This place reminded me of a camp ground. You can hear everyone in hallway and room next door. Not worth $200 a night, I won't be going back.

Wonderful breakfast & service. Lou kept my coffee cup filled & Tamra was a delight!

Luggage carrier was awkward & elevator was barely large enough to accommodate it. Could use some seating in hallway, would be handy when housekeeping is in room. Just one or two spaced out would be a nice touch.

    Lobby, staff

Had to walk a very long way to get to my room, down a dirty corridor with dishes and trash outside many of the rooms. Odd layout. They did switch my room from a first to second floor room, but I still did not feel comfortable with the room.

My room was on the 4th floor and relatively quiet...it also looked out over the trees which was nice. Shuttle drivers knew the area and could give directions.

    1. Weird layout and smell in the lobby 2. Workout equipment in the hotel wasn't functioning properly. 3. Bathroom really small and water in the shower was just barely hot. 4. Front desk staff didnt seem to know the area at all.

There is nothing exceptional about this facility. The rooms are old and depending on the wing you stay in, a bit of a time getting to the room is necessary. There is a distinctive smell in the hallways especially of wing B. The elevator is quite small and difficult if you have baggage. We had two separate technicians with service trucks stay at the facility. While the rooms were quiet expensive 200.00 +, on Friday and Saturdays, the facility could not accommodate parking, our techs had to park their service trucks at the racquet club and then walk quite a ways to get back to the facility. These trucks carry quite expensive inventory but the staff was not helpful nor concerned. It turns out they have events or at least were having events where visitors attending the event, they had not paid for a room, but yet they were given the parking places which caused persons staying and paying the rate, to have to walk up the hill and leave their vehicles far from the rooms. When the techs visited with the front desk to explain, the staff had no answers and honestly just pushed the tech off onto a chance to speak with management. What the attraction for visitors I do not understand. We have stayed at various places over the last 17 years on the road and this was by far, accounting for the money spent and in reference to what was delivered, has been our biggest disappointment.

Nice, clean facility. Loved the pools and tennis courts. Shuttle into downtown Asheville was nice and the drivers were very informative and polite.

Took three calls to get a roll-away-bed brought to the room. Was told there was no charge for it but they did apply a charge for it.

Parking was pretty convenient and it was rather quiet at night.

This place needs to be updated. For the money spent, it was a poor value. You could only fit one person in their tiny bathrooms, the AC ran non-stop all night and i felt sick in the morning, the pool while nice was very small and overcrowded, In all this place is just simply outdated and not very well kept.

While it seems like an older hotel, it has been updated with all amenities and is very nice. Great location and very clean. I particularly liked the shuttle service offered ($5) to downtown and back. We could come and go as we pleased.

Located on a large tract of land, the Resort is away from the noise of streets and highways, surrounded by a golf course, open space, and a large tennis facility. A short drive to downtown Asheville and easy access to other Asheville areas.

Spent 3 nights in hotel room and as we decided to stay an extra 2 nights over weekend in Asheville. Hotel room price increased significantly for weekend so we were offered 2 bedroomed self catering cabin on grounds. This was really good and we wished we had known about it before. We would have stayed all 5 nights there if we had known. The grounds and facilities were very good and pretty. Mulligans bar was nice. Shuttle bus staff very nice.

Air con in hotel bedroom very noisy. Breakfast not included in rate. Not being able to walk to town even though only 1.5 miles becsause the highway was too dangerous.

1- It was close to downtown. 2- Onsite activities and amenities.

1- The room was less than we expected for a four star hotel. 2- The bed was very small.
