Score from 84 reviews Excellent
Room was decent quality.
Lots of renovations going on especially with the elevator. Older facility
The vicinity to Downtown Asheville is convenient.
The facility is old and a bit smelly, rooms could use new carpet. Each room has all LED lighting which makes it feel like you are at a doctors office with all flourescent lights. The bathrooms are VERY small, room for only one person at a time. The indoor pool is actually a community racket ball club/fitness club. You have to drive to it and the water is NOT heated! Kind of awkward when your a traveler wanting to swim for fun and Asheville residents there trying to work out and have swim lessons. Will not stay at this location again, wasn't a bad stay, just not good enough to come back.
Heat/AC system needs to be updated. Front desk staff not very gracious.
Breakfast option was good and the food was wonderful. Great variety. Room was clean. Facilities were nice
Location a little confusing to navigate in and out.
Very close to downtown Asheville if you have a car. The breakfast buffet was fantastic at a reasonable cost.
Very confusing entrance and exit off interstate.
Breakfast was great. Staff super friendly.
Jacuzzi in another building too far away. No Christmas decorations up. Also double charged my credit card and it took several phone calls and finally getting a manager to get it credited.
Had one of the best breakfast buffets I have seen or eaten. Comfortable bed and pillows. They had affiliation with the health club about 2 blocks from the hotel; excellent amenities including a spa.
Was suprised with the size and age of the one elevator in the main building. Hard, scratchy towels.
Elevator appeared to be a sort of service elevator that was in desperate need of updating and putting back together .
Nice place to stay
Very difficult to get to.
The shuttle service they offered was really nice and gave us a chance to explore Asheville without worrying about parking and locations
At night we had neighbors that were up partying until the early morning hours
Slept well...ease of check in
Room was cold...heat was off.... When I arrived...
Nice breakfast and people at a very busy time
Staff was friendly, building was clean
Bathroom was way too small, TP was located behind the WC which is a bad place. Closet was too small, and short. Could not close the door because the hangers extended beyond the door. Not worth the price.
The breakfast served was good and value appropriate.
The property is very overpriced! It is a very tired "Holiday Inn" and falls far short of the "Crowne Plaza" label that I am familiar with. I think they are taking advantage of the tourist trade. I would not stay there again unless absolutely necessary.
Comfortable room, nice stay
It was a little hard to find and get back to when we were out and about.
King bed comfortable Bath towels nice Toiletries good Clean bathroom
Carpet, drapes & wallpaper worn! Old furnishings! Not enough coffee, or creamers! No breakfast with room Expected a four star hotel for the price! It is NOT 4 star. 2-3 star!
Great location to city and attractions. Nice peaceful setting of resort.
Front desk staff seemed to have difficulty. Frequent long lines. Promised rooms next to sister. During check in they seemed unaware of the request and had difficulty putting us near each other, but settled with diagonal and across the hall. Too much noise from hall in room.
Room was updated and bathroom was efficient, though small
Couldn't get the air circulation going at all - still in the room and found it stuffy and uncomfortable for us. Location was difficult to get to and signage to follow GPS was non-existent with regards to getting off the interstates. Too many u-turns required to get there!
The hotel was fairly clean and the location was very accessible to downtown Asheville.
The shower had the worst pressure I have ever experienced. It took me 10 minutes to wash the soap out of my hair. When you are getting cold in the shower where the water is turned to hot, there's a problem. Second, I booked this hotel through bookit.com and it said the room had two beds. Little did I know, it was two double beds. My boyfriend and I had to squeeze into this tiny bed because the hotel would not give us a room with a queen mattress. Lastly, we did not sleep a wink because there was a consistent loud banging noise that sounded every 5 or 6 minutes. We paid roughly $280 for a terrible night's sleep where we couldn't even get a decent shower.
Comfortable and quiet.
I noticed that most if not all guest had to drive to the pools, one outside and one in. Not the most convenient. The pool is as you come in at the bottom of the hill.
location and the bartender named Cass
Was a Wedding party that got preferable treatment over the paying guest.
The room was very clean and the bed was very nice!
We spent two wonderful days at the Crowne Plaza. We actually stayed at another Crowne Plaza in Ohio but did not have the same wonderful experience. I am glad we did not change our reservation. The Asheville Crowne Plaza's staff were so better trained and helpful. We are planning our next trip to the Crown Plaza. Cheryl Jacksonville, Florida
Nice building, friendly staff and a comfortable bed.
I waited ten minutes for the front desk clerk to get off the phone, where he was clearly taking a personal call. That was super annoying, it went on for so long, twice other employees tried to let this guy know there were customers waiting for him(and we could all here what he was talking about!) Also, while it was comfortable, it wasn't extraordinary, considering the price. A quality Inn would have been just as relaxing with less money spent.
