Crowne Plaza Hotel-Newark Airport    

We stay only a very short period 6 hours. But for the first sight the hotel may need renovation for the bed room. Thanks

Details and pictures shown on internet was very different,services and facilities was inadequate for the cost of rooms per night. I was very disappointed. I am very unhappy with the booking.

The room/bed was comfortable. We had a very nice lunch as we had missed breakfast.

The shower rail was hanging off the wall which caused the water to soak the floor when using the shower. We were unfortunate enough to book the room during their renovations. We were not made aware of this when booking. We arrived off a train at North Elizabeth. I called the hotel to see if they could book a taxi for us, I was informed that the store near where I was standing could book me a taxi and was offered no other help.

Had problem with tv and air conditioner they had to come to my room 3 times they were very helpful. But still had problem just dealed with it the next day they comped my parking Next Question is would I recommend it I do not know

The rooms were very nice and warm.

The pool was not open and no fridge in the room for waters and juices.

Location. It's an airport hotel and meets that description/function, there is a shuttle bus from c4 where all the hotel buses come from but at certain times only twice an hour. The staff are friendly and professional but are working with awful rooms, that's not their fault.

Dirty. The hotel is apparently having all the rooms re-done, there are hundreds of rooms, only two were complete when I was staying and these were already booked. The rooms are tired and old, that's one thing but there is no excuse for dirty I.E. black streaky marks on the doors, dirty finger prints, stained and falling down ceiling tiles, grubby furniture that needs to be binned or covered with a cheap but clean throw. The bathroom was clean but the bedroom (I switched from one to another) has clean linens and bed but the rest needs a serious scrub even whilst waiting for the redecorating. I paid close to 200 dollars, for me it was worth about 50. Very loud heating/cooling system, had to turn it off to sleep.

It was close to the airport for an early morning flight.

The heating system was noisy, the walls were thin and I could hear the guy next door snoring, and the pillows were uncomfortable and the size of decorative couch pillows. I had a hard time sleeping.

Great friendly staff

Hard to drive there- very difficult to find. Also the food is very average.

The hotel had lots to offer, including a business office to check-in for flights. Pool and exercise room nice to have available.

We were interrupted at 1 A.M. for a fire alarm and again at 8:30 A.M. had to catch a flight for a holiday so started out tired. Compensation was made by offering breakfast which was not good and no parking fee for the night, which we assumed was included anyway. Also was expecting to be able to leave our vehicle while away without charge (one week) and found it was going to be $15. per day. Never have we stayed at an airport hotel where we were expected to pay especially the night of the stay and for our time away as well. Would not stay there again for that reason

Location & Bar

It is a nice hotel in a terrible neighborhood. The hotel, carpets,walls are old and need refurnishing

Room was clean and comfortable The restaurant and bar were very good with excellent, courteous, and efficient staff. The lighter fare/snack stand open 24/7 is a real plus. It is a beautiful and well maintained property. Location

There was a young man at the check-in desk who had the personality of a door stopper - I had to ask him if he could help me. There was a young lady behind the counter as well who was so charming and professional. She is the way someone wants to be greeted before they ever step foot in the elevator or the room. (Bad first impression!) I chose this property because we were picking up our 12 year old stepson from a flight from Vancouver to visit us for a week, and he loves to swim. I thought the pool at this facility looked the nicest of all in the area. Thank god we did not just jump in without feeling it first as it was not swimmable. The temp was very close to 65 degrees. How can you open an indoor pool in January and not heat it? Or at least post a sign saying heater broken, we don't heat the pool, etc. very very dissappointed! Value for the $200+ dollars I paid for one nite, deplorable.

The thing we liked the most was the 24 hour shuttle service from the tranzit to the hotel that ran every half hour. The rooms were very presentable for the price and the food that they had at the cafe was delicious. I also enjoyed that there was a little club inside the hotel.

The staff members were rude and impatient with everything. For example, customers in front of me where trying to order food at the cafe and th woman worker was yelling at them then turned around and have us attitude when I asked for a specific kind of pop. Their breakfast food was terrible and when we returned to room to find that they half fast cleaned it. Lastly, I was also irritated about paying or parking

I waited for 35-40 minutes at the airport for the "courtesy shuttle" to arrive. I saw other hotel shuttles loop around at least twice (or more for some) before the Crown Plaza shuttle came by even once.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Christmas decorations made it cheery and warm. Room was clean and comfortable.

Carpet was a bit threadbare but no big deal.

It's convenient to hotel shuttle for airport and train station.

I could not access wifi while my stay, maybe due to poor signal or router's capacity

Booking was incorrect (2 rooms, 4 persons, 1 night) Booked on booking.com. But at the arriving was only 1 room for 2 persons reserved. A second room was available (but only with aditional USD 30.00) as the tax price on booking.com Crew staff didn't work cooperative (could not pay back the cash). That was not a good experience.

Easy to get to. Friendly staff. Cleanliness.

Restaurant - menu items not available 3 out of 5 visits.

I loved the staff they were very nice & accomondating

I didnt like that they did not have a jacuzzi or that you were not allowed to have candles in the room

It was dirty with VERY poor service the room was very bad the carpet stained sink cracked coffee maker still waiting for the coffee, paper coming off the wall . the swimming pool is seasonal as it goes outside which it doesn't tell you which was one of the reason we booked this hotel

Had a room at short notice.

My room 605 had paint peeling from the ceiling and mould appearing in one of the corners.

Convenient location for airport and huge comfy bed.

Didn't have any converters for uk plugs so wasn't able to charge my phone.

It is a dump.
