Custom Hotel LAX, a Joie de Vivre Boutique Hotel    

The staff was so friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and nicely kept. The location was wonderful for getting around. We are definitely making this hotel the one we stay at when we come into the USA once a year. I have never seen a more pleasant staff. Whoever hired & trained these people, good job!!

Location close to LMU. At check out clerk deleted charges for using computer and printer to print boarding passes. She was very friendly and quick, too.

Only one breakfast option and it was a buffet similar to ones at other hotels at no extra charge. No daytime eating options. No informative pamphlet on hotel amenities in room. Cost to use hotel computers and printer which is free at other hotels. Shuttle to airport was nice addition.

Good place to spend a night between 2 flight. Hotel is located in save place and close to LAX. There is a supremarket near the hotel. There is a free shuttle from hotel to LAX, but we had some problems to catch it in aeroport.

We had some problems to catch the hotel's shuttle. We were waiting for the hotel's shuttle on the shuttle stop for about 10 minutes, but when the bus came, it passed without stop. We saw it when it has already gone, because it passed on the second lane. We took the taxi , but they requested about 20$ to get as to hotel. It was about 5 minutes.

Front desk was great. Friendly, informative,etc. Food next door was good felt sorry for the server as she was alone and it was pretty busy.

we stayed because of an early flight out of LAX and we live in so orange county. The parking is odd. I booked parking thru airport parking at $7/day. When I checked in they said I had to pay $20 for the first day since I was staying at the hotel that night. It feels a little like being punished for staying at your hotel.

Very friendly staff. Easy booking in. Facilities in the room excellent plus the business centre and relaxation room plus Deck 33 and so close to all amenities and the airport.

Can't say that there was anything that we disliked.

This hotel provided the best service of all other lodgings on my entire trip. Everything was above and beyond our expectations. We told them it was our honeymoon and they upgraded us to one of their best rooms. Trent and his team even left a nice message and a bottle of wine in our room! Both the valet and the hotel front desk were extremely friendly. I felt like I could ask them of anything and they would have all the answers. The room was immaculate, and really well appointed compared to any other hotels in the area. The beautiful lobby and rooms are fantastic! Don't miss this hidden gem!

shuttle service proximity to lax

The room was very sparse, and the décor reminded me of a dorm room. There was no bedside table, I had to use the desk 2 feet away for glasses etc overnight. There was a neon light blinking in the room which I found annoying and distracting but it did turn off easily, and I found the deep grey color painted in the room to be very institutional and not at all welcoming. In short, it felt like a weird, prison-hotel, with the deep dark colors and lack of anything comforting. I was very surprised for JDV, I stay at a few other properties that are lovely. I was looking forward to a 60's inspired feel, but this fell way, way short. All of my colleagues and I have agreed we won't stay there again, but that isn't to say it wouldn't be lovely for someone not expecting nicer amenities while traveling for work.

Located just 10 minutes from LAX it is actually quicker to reach than some 'on airport' hotels. No feel of being io a transit lounge! Very simple rooms but well decorated and with good details and very comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Fast wi-fi with easy log on.

Nothing not to like, but don't expect thick carpets or grandiose furniture.

did not have parking, no full ironing board, no coffee pot. i have stay in 2 star hotel and have better.

It was close to Venice and Mahatten Beach. It was close to the freeways and airport. It was a trendy and cool hotel that offered free wifi. They had free valet parking with unlimited ins and outs. They were dog friendly (3rd floor only).

The woman that checked me in was not at all friendly or courtesy. She didn't look me in the eye, but gave my girlfriend dirty looks. I and my girlfriend both noticed this. She also didn't give me the room I booked, and gave no explanation as to why. I questioned her and she said "the room you booked is not available. You will be refunded the price difference". I only found out the next day after talking to a more friendly girl at the desk that it was because we had a dog, and dogs are only allowed on the 3rd floor.

Good location - (free shuttle to airport) Friendly staff

If you will use wi-fi than it is not free of charge and nobody will tell you upon the time when you will check out... You will receive the bill for used internet over 20 minutes. So please ask in reception about that before to browse your favorites.

The room was very comfortable and airy. The staff members (especially Zuzanna) were absolutely top-flight. The valet car system was efficient, the location surpisingly good considering the proximity to the airport.

Close to the airport, close to Los Angeles and Santa Monica. So if you don't want to spend a lot of money for your stay in LA but like to be close, this might be a good option. Of course you need a car then. Park service is fast, good job of them.

Water in your room is not for free (can't imagine). Bathroom was not so clean when we arrived. Park service cost extra 20dollars per day. The rooms and "king size" bed is not that big as you think it should be like in other US hotels, so don't be surprised.. but its ok if you dont stay long there.

Curtains on all walls ks the room and and the colors of the walls of the hallway. Staff was friendly but not helpful at all.,

This is a very pleasant and comfortable hotel. I loved the modern no frilly decor and thought all the staff that I dealt with were great.The room that I was in was not huge but certainly adequate and the space was well designed. The Bar/restaurant by the poor was terrific with a very minor flaw in that I thought the lighting was a little too dim

Convenience to the lax airport

Very little in way of customer service & comfort. No tea or coffee in the lobby, only a dish of candies. We spent the night to take an early morning flight out of lax and almost missed our flight as an employee did not show up and it took the desk manager 25 minutes to have the valet guy finally drive the shuttle bus!
