Americas Best Value Presidents Inn Monterey  

The location mostly, but I have stayed at other's on Munras Ave. for the same Money and received better value.

I stayed two different night's/rooms and the first had problems with elecrical outlet's. Coffee maker had no outlet nearby, except on nightstand or bathroom sink next to toilet. Also most of the water went next to the pot. Second night was better, longer cord and a place to plug it in too.

I liked the location primary and budget friendly. I also liked the cleanses.

I did not like that the A/C unit and Heater didnt work in my room.

The manager was friendly and responsible. The room had a good view of pool and park.

I could not figure out how to use the heat, if it was even available. The pool was closed for the season even though I asked to use it. I needed an extra blanket.

the staff were very nice and house keepers were very good at there job. I would stay at your hotel again. the # 3 question I could say all of them except luxury and spa.

Thin walls and ceilings. If you are on first floor you can hear pretty much everything that people above you are doing. When they walk it makes deep booming sounds like from elephants (perhaps it depends on who lives above). A nearby street adds some extra noise.

The room and bed were very comfortable. When you closed the curtains the room was very dark enabling us to sleep late. It was in a nice area across from a nice shopping center and not far from all the tourist attractions of Monterey. I liked having a refrigerator and microwave as well as a coffee maker. Great value for the price.

It is an older motel and probably could use some renovations.

The young women at the office desk was the first on our three week trip that was not friendly. The other staff was okay

Proximity to downtown Monterey and freeway, but on a busy road with very little setback.

Shower head was very old, rusty, filled with calcium deposits and did not provide much water. I couldn't get the soap out of my hair. Outdated style which led me to assume that the hotel had not been updated since 1he 1980'S. Patio door screen would not seal. And bathroom window was very difficult to open and close. The bathroom overhead venting did not work. Beds, pillows, blankets were obviously old and quite odorous. Could constantly hear the people above us as if the ceiling was made of paper. The manager was extremely rude to me and my daughter. I felt like an intruder in the kitchen and lobby/office space. A horrible experience. And although I checked it as "budget friendly", I think I'd rather stay ANYWHERE else. I paid about $50 less per night in a similar hotel in downtown San Francisco the prior weekend.

Very nice and clean rooms, each lower level room has a sliding door to a patio and private access to the pool and hot tub. Pool and hot tub are a perfect temperature and very well maintained. I would definitely recommend staying here.

A more modern TV would be nice, I watched the NFL football game on Sunday night and it was a bit fuzzy.

The front desk was very helpful, when asked about places to eat and attractions to see. Also to print boarding passes for return flight.

A little hard to find that location did not come up when searching for it on google.

Good location

Continintal breakfst was minimal; no fruit or juices.

Original room wasn't made up. Receptionist changed room but was indifferent in attitude.

They had free breakfast and a pool.

The room was falling apart! The doors didn't shut, or were broken and everything was dirty. Also, our keys stopped working after one night and they refused to reactivate them even though we had paid for two nights! We were locked out of our room and the breakfast room the next day. Its a good thing the doors didn't fully shut, in that case and we could get in without the keys.

Great location for a very fair price!

Nick the Mgr made sure I got my heater fixed so I could take shower in warm room. Found shopping nearby

The room was clean and the bed was confortable. Breakfast ok. It takes 5 minutes driving to get to the pier, 10 minutes to get to the 17-miles- driving, 15 minutes to Point Lobos. Best value for money.

The bathroom could be improved. The receptionist was not very friendly that day.

Location is great, staff very friendly and accommodating.....always with a smile. Patio is great....it's a plus.

Everything in our room was old and broken. The bathroom was extremely out-dated. The sheets were scratchy, the blanket must have been from the 70's it was so old and scratchy. The room was really loud, we were on an end near the stair well. I think there was a washer/dryer on the first floor below our room, at 6 am every morning we could hear loud noise coming from the wall behind our bed. The locks on the door were hard to secure as well.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location to the wharf and cannery row was within minutes.
