Accommodation and facilities
Bed too soft.
Staff was excellent. Facilities were nice. Walking distance to where we wanted to go.
Drunk people being loud from club upstairs at 1am was a little annoying.
Balcony! Room was simple & stylish.
Location, Staff, comfort... Everything was perfect. Value for money.
The view, room service and doorman
The facilities could use a bit of maintenance but the stay was still great.
This year was my second stay at the Dana. I had such a great experience for my birthday last year that I had to return. And of course Dana delivered. Service and setup were superb. And the spa services were excellent as well. From valet to bellhop to concierge everyone was prompt courteous and helpful.
This was the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The only thing I would say we had a problem with was the air in the room. It always felt hot when we came in, and even when we had it on and cooled down a little, it always felt humid. So never really got cool. Also we called for someone to fix it but they never showed up. We didn't let it bug it too much though since it was our wedding night.
Our stay at Dana hotel was amazing!! We loved every bit of it!! We just got married and the corner king was our honeymoon room for the night and we loved it!! The view was amazing, the bed was so incredibly comfortable we want one of our own. Also loved the bathroom mirror and shower! What made our stay was the wonderful staff!! We've never felt so welcomed and taken care of they were all so amazing- the doormen, the bellhops, the front desk... Everyone was great. We will definitely be back!
The bed was very uncomfortable. Clearly needed to be replaced.
Friendly staff nice room
My friend found this hotel and wanted to try it out. I was AMAZED when we checked in. The staff was so kind and friendly. The valet staff were especially kind! Everyone greeted you with a smile! I would definitely recommend this hotel!!
Really wasnt bad its just we had a somethings wrong with our room but they fixed it right away
We loved the shower and the view from the room
The staff might have been the best part - they were so friendly & polite! We had a balcony in our comfortable king room & the view was incredible.
The water wasn't super hot the first day (maybe it was time of day) and there was no way to adjust the temperature of the room.
The staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were quaint but classy. Loved the balcony. The in-room wine selection was pretty neat. I'll definitely come back to experience more of what they have to offer.
The windows (25th floor) looked like that hadn't been washed in quite some time. This was very disappointing as it spoiled the view a bit and ruined the photos we tried to take.
The view from our corner room was quite excellent. Everything about the room felt luxurious and helped set the mood for our romantic night.
Awesome property with very nice amentities for a great price!
$150 room hold - not listed on site.
Location, cleanliness, style.

Beddings with 4 pillows!!
I liked the uniqueness of the hotel, and especially the rooms. Great view out our balcony.
The room was really small
The staff was great and very helpful
no bad experiences, I would recommend this place and would stay again when I visit Chicago.
the rooms were well appointed and modern. The staff was friendly and knowledgable about area. I tested their knowledge and there service was attentive to me and my family.
First, I am a middle-aged mom who stays at the Dana when I visit my daughter. Noise is the biggest problem for me at the Dana--it has a popular nightclub on roof which means that if your room is on one of the top floors, expect to hear the bass thumping until 2AM (although the view is nice), & the rooms don't have great sound insulation, so you might find yourself woken up by late-night revelers trying to find their way back to their rooms.
Located 3 blocks from Michigan Ave, 25 min walk to Millennium Park, across the street from Whole Foods, Flywheel, & Pure Barre. They recently freshened up the place (new mattresses, furniture, tvs). Restauant downstairs is very good, free wifi, and staff is very nice, especially the very sweet doormen, who are the same fellows I have seen over the past 5 years. I have stayed at the Dana at least 10 times, so I do recommend it--just ask for a quiet room if you go to bed early (before 11PM).
I didn't like the fact that no staff greeted me beyond the valet guy at check in, they did not instruct me on how to use the elevator key & when someone did, it didn't work; they put me in the wrong room on the 11th floor at first and when I refused to stay in that room; especially since I called ahead to reconfirmed my reservation, they put me in the right type of room on the 6th floor even though I requested a higher room in the pre-selection process. They also lied about the view of the supposed glass shower wall that looks into the bedroom as it is not only blocked off by an amour - but a WALL as well. The room itself was dark & dingy & looked as if some shot spitballs in various places throughout the entire ceiling. With all the millennials running about, I felt like I spent 4-star prices for a dorm-like experience. I was so angry because of the non refundable clause, that I couldn't get comfortable, packed up 30-minutes after arriving & valeting my car, and left - NEVER TO RETURN!! And I'm still waiting on my incidentals
Had to tell the maid to make the room at 5PM. Not many choices for breakfast.
Good location-pleasant staff. Good room with balcony on top floor. Quiet.Good value. Staff offered $10 off breakfast per person for last two days. Would recommend.
