Excellent service. One block away from action so no noise when night falls
The room was very nice as were the facilities. Staff was very knowledgeable and gave us good advice as we were first time visitors there. Breakfast was good too. It was nice coming back to the hotel and knowing that there was iced tea and water with cookies available. Also they gave us water bottles every day so we didn't get dehydrated.
The pressure in our shower was terrible. We had them come up almost every day but there was no difference in the pressure of the shower. The person fixing the pressure kept on saying that it is a problem with the entire hotel. However, when we spoke to others they said that their water pressure was fine-room 221.
Great location, clean and nice facilities
Everyone else is very friendly but every time I crossed the front desk, no one smiles od even greet us
everthing was great
Location, staff including bell hop and parking attendants. We were close enough to everything yet far enough from the noise. Breakfast was good and beds comfortable.
cleaning of rooms could be better. My new car was parked under a balcony and got covered in cigarettes and ashes.
The staff most helpful, especially the black lady who serviced our room 211. She is a great asset.
Staff was amazing, very helpful and understanding. Great location, we walked to everything. Did a few tours one even got us at the hotel.
Some issues with our keys they kept deactivating. By the second day they had the maintenance guy reset our door. The parking fee was a little insane $34 per night.
It was close to everything but nestled away and very quiet. The staff was very friendly and welcoming
Great front desk, location
Housekeeping was literally shouting down the halls all morning, we could literally hear every word they were saying. It might not have been early to them, but for our vacation in the Big Easy, we planned on sleeping, but no such luck!
Everything was amazing!
Location, pool, price
View (one small window), breakfast
The staff was excellent. I toured before check-in and the staff called me when my room was available. The bartender and garage attendant were very friendly and knowledgeable. The complimentary was great.
Location and staff were amazing ! Very friendly ,helpful and patient when I say patient I mean we were a group of girlfriends on a bachelorette trip so we were quite entertaining . Breakfast was also great , but location and staff AMAZING ! From front desk management, to valet, bell hop & housekeeping everyone was awesome ! A few of us are coming back and will be booking here again !
I loved the location, close to Bourbon Street. Good free breakfast. The staff was helpful and kind.
The Friday night rate. Yes I can understand to charge more but I thought it was a little over the top.
Good location, comfortable bed, free drink voucher.
Pool area was a bit cramped and on one occasion all sunbeds taken up by one family for the whole day.
Location was very good. We were very comfortable there.
Easy check in. Location. The waffles you make at breakfast.
location and history of setting
No room service or small food service
The pool and it had no place to sit
Very friendly staff. Location was great.
My room was a "cave" It had no light, facing a brick wall. They would not give me a better room not even for more money. Make sure you ask for rooms 3rd floor up.
Everything about staying at the Dauphine is excellent. The staff are one of the best part, they are super friendly and nice. I was a little concerned travelling with small children that they might be a bit off put at the boutique hotel but everyone was so nice and loved them. We truly felt at home and we stayed for five days, so it almost was home! The breakfast was great, the rooms are excellent, everything was perfect. I would highly recommend. I loved they were non-smoking rooms so you don't have that awful lingering smell or one that is masked by awful air freshners.
The website has a lot of photos of rooms, many of which are very different from each other, so it was a little confusing what you got for what price and what room combination. The rooms are all great but if it could sort of explain here's what you get with this then you don't have any confusion over what you are paying/expectiatons.
The location. The old fashioned feel to the place. The history. The bar was nice and staff were friendly. The room was good, and the bed really comfy. We were there for the JazzFest and loved being in the centre of things, even though our room on the front was a bit noisy, it didn't stop us sleeping, and it enhanced the experience. Love the pool. Excellent breakfast. loved having free bottled water in the room. Reception staff were lovely and helpful.
Some areas need upgrading. The carpets in the breakfast room were worn and looked a bit grubby (dirty). Those in the bar were also worn and dirty, but the breakfast room needs a more suitable floor covering. Did not like the fact that people were allowed to smoke around the pool area. The toiletries and coffee supplies in our room were not replaced when used, we had to ask for more. Even after we had mentioned this at reception they still were not replaced on subsequent days. We were there for 10 days and it annoys me that you do not get a reduction for longer stays after all they do not change sheets etc every day, or do thorough cleans as they need to do when new people come in every day. So not replenishing simple things like toiletries and coffees (and the small biscuits which we only got on the first night) is irritating. We were inconvenienced on the last two evenings of our stay as the aircon panel in the ceiling leaked. After maintenance had been and sorted it on the first evening we did not expect it to happen again on the next evening.
We were offered options concerning room location. Pool view, balcony overlooking street or large room with no balcony. We opted for large room. It was the largest hotel room I have ever stayed in other than a suite. No view from the window but a large quite room in which to relax away from the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street.
Location, courteous staff, beds were so comfy, amenities.
Room view was of the parking area.
Nice, clean comfortable room, bed was wonderful, lots of pillows. Staff very helpful and friendly.
There is no water pressure in the shower. The noise at night kept us awake.
