Pierre and mike were aewsome bell staff, made our stay terrific, breakfast was delicious
Location location location
Continental breakfast was delicious, the street was quiet and May Baileys was quaint. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable . I loved the atmosphere and culture of the french quarter.
Our room waa described as having a balcony, which it did, however access was through a heavy window that had to be held open with a chair.
Easy access to all events in the french quarters....
Staff friendly, good location.
This hotel requires payment of a $US50 bond on check-in. I paid in cash - thinking it would be faster getting refund early next morning when I had an early flight out. But the IT system was down, absolutely no back up protocol in place!!! I asked for credit to the visa I'd used to secure the booking. Management insist not possible, insist only option is to post a US$ cheque to me in Australia (meaning loss on exchange rate + transfer fee + time in bank). Really a hassle for me, no inconvenience for them although it was their lack of contingency planning that caused this.
Unfortunately I was not able to attend this year, but my friends that had the pleasure said the beds were just as comfortable as last year. Got a balcony this year and it was a hit. Excellent location to Bourbon. Easy in and out of area. Friendly staff. Just like last year and that's we picked this hotel again this year and plan on doing the same next year. Our favorite Halloween retreat.
Location and lay-out of hotel
LOVED the memory foam bed. Breakfast was great.
We had a room overlooking the street and it was quite noisy. Next time we will book a courtyard view.
Very comfortable beds Very nice well appointed room Friendly helpful staff Central French quarter location Small but nice pool Bar on site Very good hot breakfast
Wi-fi was very slow and spotty Pool sitting area is small Rooms overlooking the parking lot can be noisy
Location was good and loved the old time New Orleans atmosphere
Noisy but then I think most hotels in this area would be.
The hotel and staff were totally Awesome start to finish. Every emplo went out of the way to make us comfortabl. LLocation is the best.
Hotel staff was very nice, unusually clean facilities for the Quarter
1. Over priced 2. Location not as convenient as other places we have stayed 3 Lots of loud noise from maintenance and cleaning crews early in the morning every morning!
Location was great. Staff was courteous and helpful. Breakfast was nice.
Window difficult to open & made sitting on balcony awkward. Lock was broken and had to be held open with a chair. Window not very sound proof so street noise woke us up some.
Friendly staff. Front desk and all other employees were super nice.
The place was great, quiet, and comfortable. We ended up staying there during a roof renovation. Our room seemed to be right under the action, which started at 8am promptly. Not the best thing on vacation. The front desk staff was amazing, and gave us a free upgrade to a quieter wing. I would definitely stay again, though, assuming any renovations are completed! Biggest takeaway was the super friendly staff, location, and comfort!
Excellent location Surprisingly quiet One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on History preserved Nice complementary cocktail on arrival Service very good
Cost of parking-very high at $34/d then added parking tax-really??? Breakfast menu could use a little variety and/or offer salsa or bacon to spiff up the scrambled eggs. Need a microwave for making grits and oatmeal-hot water was tepid.
Able to walk to lots of Restaurants, shopping, entertainment, tours. Enjoyed taking tours and learning about New Orleans.
Toilet was dirty in hotel room. I had to clean it my self to be sure cleaned well!
The staff was exceptional, friendly and helpful. Room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast is included which provided a wide variety or choices
Our stay at the Dauphine Orleans was one we will never forget
breakfast Room Manager Joshua outstanding
Wi fi did not work on the 4th floor. On 2nd Day we were transferred to 2nd Floor by Joshua - outstanding service, we were moved in a couple of minutes no fuss!
Pierre our bellman, Shaniqua (sp?) housekeeping Breakfast staff- The people were warm and friendly..loved that the most!
The lack of view-make sure you specify where you wanna be! The bathroom was incredibly small. We have been married 27 years, but that was ridiculous, if ya know what I'm sayin'. The noise, and the lack of AC in the rest of the hotel. Bed was NOT "tempurpedic", and was worn out and mushy. Room looked nothing like pictures. (gee, how surprising, right?) Dirty, and worn out.
Great location and lovely to sit by the pool after a hot day sightseeing. Excellent service.
Being moved to the back of the hotel.
Rooms on the front were unbearable no sleep at all. Noise all night from the street. If you stay here be ready for this or ask for a back room.
Very good location, just a block from Bourbon St. Very comfortable bed.
We paid extra for a room with a balcony, but they should have warned us about the noise at night. Lots of drunk people screaming and yelling until 3AM. We could hardly slept. Then at 6AM we were waken up again by the garbage and delivery trucks. It felt like the door was open even though it was closed. The breakfast could have more variety. The building is old and need some upgrading in the rooms.
The bed was very comfortable!
The first room we were booked in, the carpet was soaked on one side of room. They moved us to another room while we were out to dinner. When we arrived to our new room, I thought they may have forgotten.my phone charger. Called the front desk for 10 min straight and no answer. Had to walk down and ask if I could go check to see if it was there. They booked someone else in the room!!! When I asked why with carpet soaked, they said they had it dried. I knew Abthony was lying because the front desk girl just told me someone from that room just had the same complaint! They let those people stay in that musty soaked carpet room because when we checked out next day, they were too...and complained about it. Also, outside workers yelling at 7 am made it impossible to sleep late. Not just talking loud..yelling!! We left there and checked into maison Dupuy!
Float in bathroom blocked drains and carpets have seen a lot of Marti celebrations....
