Score from 42 reviews Good
Roomy, plenty of counter space for travelers, quiet, convenient location, friendly owners, great bed, very clean
Dim lighting in bathroom
The room was quite good, except for the airconditioning outside the bathroom window it needs to be silenced or moved further away, but I can't see that happening if you consider the apparent lack of attention to detail generally.
The airconditioning was on all night an awoke us at 1am so we had to listen to that for the next 3 hours, breakfast was a farce, I ended up supplying my own cereal and because there was no milk pouring fruit juice over it, for the money a cooked breakfast to me is,say, scrambled eggs cooked there and then not half an hour ago. The cooked kept apologising, every second word was "sorry" not her fault any of it really, the owners need to pay more attention to what is going on.
The suite was very well appointed. The bed was very comfortable, and the bed linen was of exceptional quality. The breakfast was far better than expected.
We had great difficulty finding the place, having to call the phone number on the reservation. We made several calls to get better directions...eventually leaving a message. It was responded to quickly and we got the directions we needed.
View from back porch was spectacular, Woman who cooked breakfast did a good job with pancakes, eggs, bacon
No control over heat/AC and room was too warm at night, Would like to meet innkeepers
Fireplace, breakfast and privacy
After a long drive from Marathon sitting outside on the small area under the trees with a glass of wine was about as good as it gets. The only problem was the toilet would not flush because the chain was broken. My husband tried fixing it with dental floss but it didn't hold. We told the housekeeper so she could get it fixed. A nice relaxing & conveniently located B&B. Joyce Basarich
I thought it was good! The only negative thing I could say would be the haul upstairs with the 2 suitcases but I'm a strong woman! Joyce Basarich
Location was very good, very close to town with restaurants.
We stayed at a separate property from the main house. It was nice, but there are 4 units together and our room was next to a breezeway...and you could hear lots of noise with people walking by and the walls are pretty thin so you hear quite a bit of noise.
The room was awesome with a huge bathroom.
We arrived late and the outside lights were not on.
I reserved a 2 bedroom, 3 bed cabin & we got a 3 bedroom! My grandkids loved it! It could easily accompany 8 with all the places to sleep. The king bed was heavenly. Located right off of the main drag, had a wonderful country feel! We also had a fireplace that I couldn't for my life, get my husband to light!
We had no stove & don't use a microwave. 1 queen bed was hard, not for sure about the 2nd queen bed. The internet worked but very spotty. Mule/donkey days were happening with the dance right outside the backyard so music til 1am.
A beautiful home in a hidden jem of a location in west Texas.
Cleanliness, convenience, roominess
Few burned out bulbs, slow drain in tub, missing hardware in shower, lack of sugar in kitchen, lack of a freezer.
Loved everything. Attractive building and grounds, delicious breakfast, delightful staff.
Everything was lovely. The house is beautiful, comfortable, and charming. Our room (actually a whole wing of a house) was incredible. If in Fort Davis, this is the place!
We arrived at night and had trouble finding the place. The Davis Mountains Inn sign needs to be illuminated or travelers need to know it is behind the RV park.
Layout of lodging.
Bed was old and soft Carpet was dirty. Wi Fi did not work until last day.
Wonderful service, great hospitality, good food...... a very welcoming environment!
The porches were large.
Both properties have not so nice scenery. The condos have locked doors to adjoining condos, and you get the noise from the other unit. The main property sits in a trailer camp.
The hospitality wonder. The inkeepers were so nice. Breakfast was so good tables decorated so nice. We stayed three nights and enjoyed the waterfalls, peace and quiet
Quiet, conveniently located, soft bed, private.
Needed extra sheets/blankets; ran out of toilet paper; no on-site number to call (when we had wifi trouble, we called and got someone in Arizona)
Trailer park next door . Need privacy fence .
All of the above I rated excellent. Also, Tiffany & Ron were most cordial and made great breakfasts. The whole atmosphere was "homey" and having coffee at most times of the day was a plus. Don't try to improve on the pancakes....they were delicious!
Would like to have had a separate reading area outside the room where there was good lighting. Also, it would be nice to be separate from the TV room, as the children wanted to see TV when I wanted to read or work on my computer.
The solitude and the front porch to sit and read or do nothing. The kids enjoyed being able to have a water balloon fight outside without bothering others. The rooms were large and the closets.
Needs a larger refrigerator.
I felt right at home. Loved my room and the bed, oh so comfy. The breakfast was simple but good and (Angie ?) was very pleasant and friendly.
If I recall the men had some trouble with the tv.
Nice place. Comfortable lounging area, Just stayed 1 night so didn't eat in our area. Excellent breakfast with cozy setting and personable hostess.
Didn't ask ahead of time if there were 2 baths. A little awkward with 2 couples, not a family. Bedrooms very small, ok for 1 night.
Mobile home shared with someone separated by a door that was not locked. We had to use a chair to hold it closed. The people next door were playing the piano! Paper thin walls. Their conversations were easily heard. We could hear them mixing drinks.
