John was helpful and apologetic.
- Rats at the front door - standing water in the tub when taking a shower, no water pressure through shower head -They checked me out before my stay was over and tossed all my bathroom items. When I asked for replacement conditioner, I was told to use the hand lotion. -coffee maker didn't work
Loved location, right across street from the Charles river. Beautiful river walk. Close to Cambridge, bus connection to subway nearby.
Hotel is on the older side, an upgrade of the bathroom would do wonders to the comfort of the room. the cleaning staff did a wonderful job. Desk staff was very courteous and helpful.
The Staff, Beds, Bathroom, WIFI, Free Parking and Restaurant.....ALL WERE EXCELLENT
clean room, quiet location
no easy access to public transportation, limited food facilities, older decor.
Location and parking.
-a great restaurant in the hotel, the breakfast (need to pay) is great!
-location is not really convenient. -wifi signal is really bad in the room, only good to use in the lobby
Very nice and helpful person at reception desk. Clean and good to reach place walking distance to Harvard circle.
Staff was very courteous and attempted to e helpful.
1, Hotel was one of the recommended hotels from American Repatory Theater in Harvard square. Hotel was not even close. Other hotels, while slightly more expensive was in harvard Square and more value for the dollar.
Quiet hotel, no problems sleeping at night. Rooms were kept clean and bed was comfortable. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Pubpic transit-wise, good spot for getting to and from Harvard Square but not to and from downtown area.
The smell of mould just permeates the entire building other than the bedrooms. Even though we stayed during off days at the hotel, it seemed like we were the only people there - in 4 days we only saw 5 other guests. Decommissioned pool was kind of a bummer to see.
Inexpensive for Boston. Staff was helpful
Rooms were a bit loud and smelled like Chinese food.
It was very close to Harvard University, just a walking distance and good Chinese food in the evening
The number of non-residence coming for the obviously opened Chinese restaurant for the public is very distracting. Looks like you are lodged in a crowded environment
WIFI was abysmal.
Liked proximity to Harvard.
It was old and a little smelly.
Location and friendly staff
Very old building with outdated amenities and facilities, no breakfast included in the room rate, no one to help with our bags, etc.
The facilities were clean and comfortable and good value for price
The wifi was very poor (on the top floor) though better in the lobby. The decor was dated but to be fair was generally as shown on the website.
Free Parking Comfortable bed On-site restaurant
Old style tube TV Long walk to subway
Free newspaper. Nice shower.
Poor parking. Unclean staff. Noisy guests. Very thin walls. Over priced. Inadequate cable tv programming. Rundown hotel.
Good location, clean room, best price in the area.
Wifi was a little slow.
this is perfect location, near everything including bus transportation. we previously stayed at a "posh" downtown Boston hotel; this was FAR BETTER and beds were very Comfy!!
The room was fantastic and we were lucky to have a suite.
Excuse me but I found that the lobby, windows, rubbish bin outside could have used a good cleaning. (2) I was often up early (4am) because of the time difference and went outside to smoke. There was a person or two sleeping on the couch and chair. I felt unsafe. (3)The receptionists felt a greeting was unnecessary.
the staff, the size of the room ,the location to fenway park & that it has a restaurant in the building.
the bed linens . the thing that bothered us more than anything was the the tv & the awful cable. boston is a HUGH sports town. this days inn has no sports channels. no espn no nesn etc. also missing food channel ,l travel channel etc
All the staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful.
There was a very distinct chemical(?) smell in the halls and my room which triggered breathing difficulties. As a result I developed bronchitis. The location was further from downtown Boston then expected. The dining room serves only Chinese food for lunch and dinner.
It was convenient for a one night stop.
No breakfast buffet.
Bad Chinese restaurant, no gym, the black lady work at the front desk at the evening was disrespect and didn’t supportive. Wi-Fi was very low, even you can’t check your email. But the wash room, bed and table was good and clean. You can pay same amount for downtown hotel and get more support. Finally I have leaved one day before to another hotel at the town, they didn’t pay back my money.
