The customer service during my stay was excellent. I had a delay in my arrival and there were no issues. I left a valuable on my departure. Within 15 minutes, they located the item and arranged sending the item to my home in 2 days.
Overall good hotel, very close to both Boston downtown and Cambridge (although area is a bit industrial). Will certainly go there again.
The ceilings in the corridors are very low (I can touch them with ease just by raising my hand), which creates a bit of a claustrophobic feeling. Not ideal, but I don't think they can easily be changed, and I can live with that. If you can, get a room facing Storrow Drive, it's the better view, the other side is a bit more industrial.
Had a restaurant on site which was very good.
Beds were ok.
Wifi very slow, hotel and room old and run down. Did not feel very fresh.
Old, run down, stains in tub and sink... Asked for conditioner and staff told me to use body cream?! Musty smell... Very unhappy staff, not friendly at all!
Location, price of the hotel.
They could have changed the floor carpet with wood in side of the elevator. Room size is good for two separate bad but color they used with upholstery is realy dark depressive colors. People who work there in automatic pilot they do their shift and don't care.
Chinese restaurant next to the lobby
Rooms were a bit dingy - everything in brown Not walking distance to the metro, which I prefer to buses. With a 20 dollar cab to the city and back, I could have stayed in a better hotel in the center.
Awesome staff at both the hotel and the restaurant, friendly and helpful. Good location.
the elevator was a little unnerving.
This hotel was a real pleasure with comfortable, spacious rooms and very friendly, helpful staff. With young grandchildren with us it was wonderful having the lovely kids play areas across the road. We will certainly recommend it to others.
John was helpful and apologetic.
- Rats at the front door - standing water in the tub when taking a shower, no water pressure through shower head -They checked me out before my stay was over and tossed all my bathroom items. When I asked for replacement conditioner, I was told to use the hand lotion. -coffee maker didn't work
Loved location, right across street from the Charles river. Beautiful river walk. Close to Cambridge, bus connection to subway nearby.
Hotel is on the older side, an upgrade of the bathroom would do wonders to the comfort of the room. the cleaning staff did a wonderful job. Desk staff was very courteous and helpful.
The Staff, Beds, Bathroom, WIFI, Free Parking and Restaurant.....ALL WERE EXCELLENT
clean room, quiet location
no easy access to public transportation, limited food facilities, older decor.
Location and parking.
-a great restaurant in the hotel, the breakfast (need to pay) is great!
-location is not really convenient. -wifi signal is really bad in the room, only good to use in the lobby
Very nice and helpful person at reception desk. Clean and good to reach place walking distance to Harvard circle.
Staff was very courteous and attempted to e helpful.
1, Hotel was one of the recommended hotels from American Repatory Theater in Harvard square. Hotel was not even close. Other hotels, while slightly more expensive was in harvard Square and more value for the dollar.
Quiet hotel, no problems sleeping at night. Rooms were kept clean and bed was comfortable. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Pubpic transit-wise, good spot for getting to and from Harvard Square but not to and from downtown area.
The smell of mould just permeates the entire building other than the bedrooms. Even though we stayed during off days at the hotel, it seemed like we were the only people there - in 4 days we only saw 5 other guests. Decommissioned pool was kind of a bummer to see.
Inexpensive for Boston. Staff was helpful
Rooms were a bit loud and smelled like Chinese food.
It was very close to Harvard University, just a walking distance and good Chinese food in the evening
The number of non-residence coming for the obviously opened Chinese restaurant for the public is very distracting. Looks like you are lodged in a crowded environment
WIFI was abysmal.
Liked proximity to Harvard.
It was old and a little smelly.
