Wyndham San Diego Bayside boasts 3 on-site restaurants and a free shuttle service to the San Diego Zoo, Seaport Village and San Diego Airport.
Score from 544 reviews Very good
I liked how they gave driving directions to all major attractions and were responsive and helpful to all of our requests.
Cleanliness of bathroom and kitchen cupboards could have been better.
The location was excellent.
When showering the tub creaked and thought it would fall to the floor below. Usb was connected to light switch, turn off light and no charging. No water glasses on second day, dah,
Convenient to attractions and freeways. Pool was warm.
Refrigerator needed defrosting in freezer unit badly. Lost some food. Cupboard door next to frige kept frige open if we didn't check it closely.
Location was central to the places we needed to go. Getting in/out was relatively easy.
Noisy neighbors. The hotel next door was party central all weekend. Cars revving engines all hours of the night.
its like motel 6
I liked the hotel. It was fairly quiet even though it was just off the highway. I would have liked being closer to the bay, but this location is close to Sea World, Balboa Park, shopping and other attractions.
In the evenings the wifi was sometimes a little sketchy. Probably lots of people were trying to use it, and it wasn't quite strong enough for all that traffic. I also would have liked the wifi to be encrypted rather than open.
Friendly personel. Good parking Nice swimming pool with seats
Noise of bell of elevator during the whole night
Good value and room was generally clean. Friendly staff. Safe surroundings. Nice location.
Signed up for king bed, then when we got there were told it wasn't available and would cost more. We were misled by online signup. Found a used liquor bottle in frig - gross! Menu in room had food mess on it. Trash was outside elevator and overflowing from trash cans all weekend. Unacceptable! Noisy plumbing -- we were awoken by shower, which sounded like ours but was neighbor's!
Great location right next to a bus stop! Jump on the bus to Old Town or Gaslamp within 15mins. Staff were very helpful!
Fairly noisey at times, could hear doors slamming. Fine if only staying for a couple of nights.
Outside of the Gas Lamp area, I like staying at hotels in the Hotel Circle area. The price is economical and the hotels in this area are all within a mile of items of interest (Sea World, trolley, mall, restaurants). I've also stayed at other thrifty hotels further out in San Diego (Kearney Mesa) and they were miles from anything of interest.
The bed was short. I'm only 5'11", but my feet hung off the end if I lied straight on my back.
Parking was not very good. Too many cars??
Friendly staff, on location resturaunt
proximity of the conference center cheeper price good services
Hotel location is 10-15 min for any spot in San Diego.
Internet and wireless were poor. Forget about using their internet inside the room.
the wifi was really realy slow..
Everything beautiful pool
the noise from air condition is a problem.
great location. friendly staff and very helpful. Clean and comfortable with restaurant on site. best value for your dollar.
Excellent value for money, staff were so helpful and knowledgeable and willing to help with directions etc. Location wise is good and is about a 15 minute walk to the trolley into San Diego however there is a bus stop right out the front of the hotel that takes you to the Old Town and you can catch the trolley from there, if you prefer not to walk. Just a few mins walk up the street is a convenience store as well as lots of aces to eat and the area is safe to walk around in at night. The room itself was a good size and had a fridge and microwave. Would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again when in San Diego. Oh, and they have an awesome restaurant called "Bunz" on site who do a fab breakfast :).
Easy to find, helpful and knowledgeable staff and convenient for public transport. Free parking.
Nice room, very little outside noise
Not enough parking
led lightbulbs, not toxic CFL like most other places. Good bedding Free parking Good, cold refrigerator
Deceptive advertising Motel living with one window facing passersby. Noisy freeway noise Lack of kitchenware Either blackout curtain or open to public viewing...no other option. Few king beds available so you end up with two queen beds and nowhere to sit as a single traveler. 4pm check in and 10 am check out time
Swimming pool excellent Space in room Response to power outage Bunn's restaurant
Cleaning staff we late in the day to clean room Room could stand some updating
