Great value! Good location!
Staff was very friendly. Was able to answer questions I had and made everything hassle free
close to trails and to old district
no wi-fi, too thin walls, you can hear the voices of neighbors
Friendly staff and value
The rooms were a bit dated
The rooms were very nice. They were clean with comfortable beds and very large. I enjoyed my room, I just did not like the surrounding facility.
The walls were thin and you could hear the neighbors. The hallway stinks, and it needs new carpet. It did not have a coffee pot or a hair dryer. The ice machine costs money.
loved it. Would stay again
Police arrested a guy for beating up a gal in one of the rooms. Even the morning clerk said it can be like downtown on some weekends. The clerk just looked like he'd woke up from a drunk the night before. The bathroom door latch was broken so the door wouldn't stay shut. Several poor patch jobs on the walls of the room and bathroom though it was clean. In the morning someone started a car with a hole in the muffler right in front of our room and he was trying to get it running properly before he left. Real noisy and the guy looked like a bum off the street. If you're looking for inexpensive lodgings, definitely look SOMEWHERE ELSE, this is NOT the place unless you like dealing with lowlife types!!
Had to wait 3 hours after check in time for room to be ready, even though it was reserved for a month ahead of time
We stayed two nites, first nite was not good, noise from upstairs was going all nite. Talked to the manager about it, second nite was better.
Simply put, Durango is expensive and I did not want to pay a high price for a late arrival and early am departure. I understand budget hotels, but simple updates like sheets and towels that aren't discolored are not too much to ask. Was glad to check out.
Low cost. Clean room Provided the first floor room requested. Stayed 2 nights at start and end of the trip.
Never was able to get a wi-fi connection on my laptop, but not a big concern.
Liked the location and ease to get in and out. Only recommend if you need to crash and get out early the next day.
No amenities or even ice without costing you a quarter. Cheap doors and poor locks left me not wanting to leave anything valuable in room.
location, clean, helpful staff
no wifi as advertised
Quiet, room very clean, had stream and picnic area with grills in back, comfortable bed, lots of hot water.
back stairs were spotted with spills
Bed was comfortable
Toilet didn't flush, bathtub didn't drain, no mini fridge or microwave in room. Smoking spot outside but cigarette disposal was filled to the top and not emptied once in the week we stayed.
Wi-fi worked, access to main road
Bed not very comfortable, shower performance weak, noisy floor, parking limited
Liked that one whole building was non-smoking.
Office didn't open until 8am, and no coffee was available onsite. Had to go a block away, and pay $2 for a cup, after waiting an hour for the office to open.
The man at the front desk the next morning was very nice when I told him the reasons why I just couldn't stay at the motel past that first night. He offered me another room for the same price but I just couldn't stomach being there anymore. He let me just pay for the one night I was there and I checked out with no hassles. (As a side note-no one is working the lobby at night-they leave your keys in an unlocked box with your name on them which is a very strange practice!)
The room smelled awful when I got there. I could hear all the people in the surrounding rooms. Stained carpet- one of the stains looked like a puddle of dried blood. Didn't even want to walk on the carpet. Didn't get any sleep in spite of the fact I arrived after midnight because my flight was late. The hotel was too creepy and too noisy.
Location not far from downtown with easy access. Pleasant location next to stream with easy walk to river walk. Good parking.
--I wasn't happy with using booking.com for booking --25¢ to use the ice machine --pay to use phone (I didn't use it) --manager had to open access to hot tub for us --couldn't get wifi to work with my iPad
Thin walls. Could hear people above most of the night and also the ones beside us.
Once we worked out how to get into town (a map helps!) it is convenient and Flagstaff is a super little town - very friendly and lots of micro breweries. Beds were around the most comfortable all trip.
Loved the king size bed, it was comfortable and the sheets were surprisingly nice for a motel. Clean bathroom. Location was ideal for having a dog with a park and bike path immediately next door/behind the hotel. Surprised to find fridge & microwave, and shampoo/soap were refreshed daily even though other reviews said they didn't have these. No coffee in the room though. Never used the wifi so can't say if that works well.
They charged an extra $10/night for having a pet. This was not advertised and I didn't like the surprise extra fees when I checked in.
The guy at the front desk was wonderful. The bathroom was updated but still had issues.
The housekeeper kept waking us up at 7:45 and then again at 8:30. She just kept opening the door, but we didn't have to check out until 11. The room was gross and everything was stained. The carpet had a big red stain about the size of a plate in the middle. Then brown dirt stains all around the bottom of the walls. I didn't know where to put my bags cause it was all gross. The bed had a giant brown stain on it about 8 inches long which we didn't find until after...gross. The towels were like cheap scratch paper. The shower didn't drain and didn't get hot. So lukewarm standing shower water. Also gross! I really wanted to like this hotel cause I liked the guy at the front but it was just a really bad experience.
