Bed was very comfortable but cleanliness left much to be desired.. The couch in the room looked like a piece of furniture from the 60's and was sooooo dirty!! Carpet was old, worn & dirty.. The only good thing bout the room was the comfortable bed..
Needs updating very badly!! Considering it is across from Worlds of Fun and the room prices get raised during theme park season, one would think they would keep the rooms cleaner and up to date!!
Felt a bit sketchy.
Needs remodeling. Too much caulk in the bathroom. Smelt like someone had smoked in the rooms at one time or another. Could have jelly packs in kitchen.
Easy location off I435, not hard to find, staff was nice, free breakfast was basic but good. We stayed one night because we went to a chiefs game and it was close to the stadium and shops. About a 15 min drive to most attractions.
It was kinda junky inside, paint was mis-matched, ceiling in shower was falling apart, tile looked dingy and gross, most tv channels were fuzzy...needs some major updating but the furniture was very nice and the beds were really comfy. Overall it was fine for the money.
I liked the location, the hotel was a short distance away from worlds of fun.
The overall quality of the hotel. I knew what I was expecting when I booked the hotel. Where else can you get a queen size room with two queen size beds for 55.00 that comes with a mini fridge that close to a major attraction? I wish the owners would put money back into this place. It used to look really nice but it has rolled way down the hill. The only reason this hotel isn't a complete dive is because they don't offer weekly rates. If your passing through for a single night and your NOT alone then this place is for for you. If your alone, you might want to book elsewhere for a little extra quality..
For the price it was not a bad stay. The rooms were clean just dated. Building could be kept up a little better.
updates would do wonders
Its very outdated, stuffy and unkept. We enjoyed ourselves still and we would have slept there regardless of appearance but that itself was the biggest downfall.
Saw a roach in bathroom
It was a good deal for what it was. There seemed to be some power or cable issues. The tv and refrigerator kept turning off. The cable TV was horrid you could barely make out the picture if the channel came in. (Are you stealing cable?) that's what it seems like. Wi-fi was at best horrible. Not able to check any email or do anything on tablet. The rooms were alright. But you could tell that no one really cared about cleaning them. it was mediocore at best. But I guess that's what I played for. I don't think I'll be back. Sorry.
I put it all up in the like box. sorry. Not typing this again.
This was possibly the worst hotel room I have ever been in. I have traveled with the Air Force and Anheuser-Busch extensively. There was black mold on the walls in the bathroom and shower. Also the maintenance to fix leaks was to layer up to 1 inch thick silicone on the floor around the tub and in the tub. There was also pubic hair in the shower on the first night that we had to rinse off. We will not stay there again.
quiet walking distance to food
Great price and they good choices on breakfast and the staff were very friendly. Conveniently located close to the sites we booked to visit.
Our room was close to the pool and had LOTS of ants to the point that my son was sitting at the desk eating and we had to throw his food out because ANTS were crawling across it.
clerk named john
All other staff unfreindly
very noisy and old
no tv remote no coffee pot
5 roaches, a mouse squeaking, clogged toilet, the TV that did not work, the vanity that was missing trim, the alarm clock that would not turn off, the blow dryer that did not work and the phone whose message light blinked all night even though the front desk said there was no messages and she would reset it. the staff member had her screaming kids in the lobby while I was checking in
Breakfast was good.
We had three rooms. Two had no hot water and a cracked tub that leaked. One had plenty of hot water but the carpet was so filthy that after 5 minutes my grandchildren's feet were black from the filth. The next day we paid for an extended stay with check out at 3 pm. What we received was at 11:05 am a demand to leave the room. An explanation was given about the extra time. 30 minutes later another demand to leave (this one with more emphasis on the LEAVE NOW part); an explanation was given again. 30 minutes later acknowledgment of the extra time was finally given that we had paid for it followed by a demand that we leave NOW. Because of the harassment we finally left at 1:30 pm when we had paid through 3:00 pm. This is the most disappointing place I have ever stayed in. My efforts to have the management do something have been completely ignored. The franchise owner should be either removed from this place or get involved in running it. Again this was a very huge disappointment.
the guys that were next door working prostitutes out of and the smell of marijuana and the girls asking if we had any dope and the constant fighting and yelling and the people to my left hit my car in the parking lot workib
This was suppose to be a non-smoking room. The room was so strong with cigarette smell. Our clothes and luggage smelled so bad. We had to leave and more to another hotel. The pictures on the web site are very mis leading.
pool, staff, cleanliness,
the place is in desperate need of updating. very run down by normal wear and tear
The continental breakfast was good.
No microwave when it advertised one. We had three rooms. Two were clean but no hot water and cracked bathtubs. The other had hot water but the carpet was so filthy that after five minutes of play my grandkids feet were black. We paid for an extended stay ($25) in order to have time to finish what we were doing in KC. At 11:05 am were told to get out. replied that we had paid for extra time. 30 min later front desk called to say get out. after finally finding where we had paid for extra time (their admission) were told to get out again 30 min later. This went on until 1:30 when just gave up and packed up and left even though we had paid to stay until 3:00 pm. We will never stay here again and will be very leary of any Days Inn anywhere if this is the way the places are allowed to treat their PAYING customers.
We literally pulled out of the parking lot. Went across the street and was there. Staff was helpful.
Although the location was exceptional, the hotel was bad my in need of renovation.
The carpet was filthy and the room smelled like smoke. It was supposed to be a non-smoking room. The service was poor
Location was close to Worlds of Fun, Oceans of Fun, QuikTrip and Waffle House.
Booking.com did not forward our reservation to hotel. They found us a room, but it was obvious it was a "spare" room that would not normally be used unless needed. The bathroom leaked, the room fit and finish was bad and had a bad odor about it. We had lots of drunk folks on the top floor making too much noise. I think the desk clerk asked them to be quiet, but then they started stomping around their room. I was hoping they would pass out. I think the best thing to say overall is, this place would be out of business except for its proximity to WOF... I would not recommend this Days Inn. It is not up to their normal standards.
Our bathroom was awful!!! The shower dripped constantly, and was so filthy we did not even use it. The bathroom floor was also dirty. The rest of the hotel room was not bad, tho it did smell very smokey. When we checked in the had no confirmation of our reservation, although they had a room left so they honored our reservation and the price we were quoted.
