Hotel is dated.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Free wifi was a nice bonus. Having the option of free breakfast and a light dinner was convenient.
The hotel sits next to a busy road and has a highway running next to it as well. Very noisy. Also, being on the second floor I could hear the people above me walking.
Easy to get to right off interstate
Beds were awful! Very uncomfortable and made noise when anyone turned over. Not enough towels to accommodate our party. When reservation is booked for 4 there should be enough towels etc. for 4! Will not return!!!
The location was good right off the highway easy to get too away from traffic. Our bed was comfortable and it was handy having the mini fridge in the room. Free wifi is a great perk not too many hotels have it for free.
We had a smoke free room however the two of us may have been the only smoke free items in the room. Both beds had cigarette burns in the blankets and when the blankets were replaced they too had cigarette burns?? Suggestion: if others want to smoke then make them sleep with their trashy habits. We had ants all over the room and had to store all food in coolers and fridge. AC unit smelled when ran, probably never cleaned, black mold smell!!! Would not stay again. Price did not match quality more like a 70$ a night stay.
The television worked.
Stink bugs invaded the room, probably because the door frame and door are crooked and open to the outside. The noise level of the kids outside at night was high. I know that is not the hotels fault, but because their pricing is lower, people bring their kids. The stairs to the parking lot were crooked and it appears they will eventually fall. There was very little toilet paper, the bathrooms were moldy, the towels were worn. Not much good to say about this place. Typical Days Inn.
The best thing was the staff.
The room was dirty old run down, The smell i took a chance on because it was a smoking room, However it was extremely bad! We had no hot water all the fixtures were corroded. there was mold on them the carpet was so dirty there was no way you could be barefoot. IF THERE WERE other HOTEL ROOMS AVAILABLE in the area I WOULD NOT HAVE EVEN CHECKED IN!
Friendly staff clean quiet room and very comfortable beds kitchen clean with good food and friendly kitchen staff
Carpet worn and old looking
everything would never stay there agaain
Location wasn't bad, considering it's just outside Asheville and it's right by the highway.
However, it was a bit run down, with no real thermostat, holes in the walls where screws used to be, with a window that makes up your outer wall and CRT TVs. Just think motel from 1990 and you're spot on. Parking was very limited. Breakfast is held in a separate building, so you'll have to walk outside to get to breakfast and if there's bad weather it could be a pain.
It was pet friendly.
The kitchen where they free breakfast is served is not attached in the same building where you sleep, you have to walk or drive to get the limited items for breakfast. I have two bad knees so walking to breakfast was difficult. They do not inform you that there is a $20 pet deposit. I think that would be helpful to know up front when you are choosing a place to stay. There candy pieces under the bed from previous guest and fruit flies in the room. I will never stay there again.
sewage odor in room and around campus. Lots of flying bugs in the room.
Ability to buy Biltmore tickets at hotel
3rd floor difficult to climb stairs. Nighttime check in. Lobby closed
Staff was friendly. For the price I guess the roomwas adequate. Beds were comfortable.
Walls were so thin we were awoke every morning simply by the people above us walking around. Neighbors spent first on balcony talking so loud we could not get to sleep. Water in bath/shower ran constantly. Towels that had been used were not picked up every day.
Liked the value.
Needs to be updated.
The building was old but the staff was friendly and helpful!
Just needed updating.
Couldn't find office - not well marked
fast check in...clean rooms
The staff was very good and responsive. The room was cooled well and the TV worked well.
the soap and shampoo was enough for a very small child. Coffee supplies could have been more plentiful. Towels were well worn.
Had to go to third floor. Handi capped had trouble going up steps.
Breakfast, free wifi, price
Beds very small and both were on a slant where our feet were higher than our heads. Toilet had no power and we had to fill garbage can with water to flush ( or wait 15 minutes for it to fill up).
The breakfast was well done
Walking to the main office.
The ONLY good things I have to say is it was clean and the WiFi picked up well.
3rd floor room + NO elevator. We were tired, hot and just wanted to get in our room, but had to lug all our belongings up stairs. Got in the room to find the a/c was completely off - took a while to finally cool the room. Did not realize the toilet had not flushed until it was needed in the middle of the night. Called desk for plunger and told we had to come get it. Kind of scary at 3am and inconvenient to down stairwells and walk across a dark parking lot to get a tool so you can fix something that is their responsibility.
The room was clean and adaquate ,easy on and off interstate and the television didn't work which was ok with us. The wifi was great.
The carpet in the walkway was dirty and wet looking. The place has no curb appeal, looks closed from the road. Was not up to the usual Days Inn. The whole place looked uninviting.
Front desk staff was very nice, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was very basic but OK, considering the rest of the facility. We got a good rate on a last minute deal.
The check-in office is located in a small separate building with the breakfast. You drive behind this building to the lodging, which is a little creepy. The carpet and comforters were old and the room needed updating.
The bed was comfortable. The room was clean The room had a fridge and microwave, and a coffee pot.
The location is not convenient. It is six miles away from the Candler exit (the exit that has all the restaurants.) The breakfast is a nice idea but the eggs could pass for rubber. The TV is an old school tube style std def tv. There is no elevator for third floor access. The shower curtain was on one of the big curved rods, which was nice, but would not stay shut since the rod was not level. The shower water pressure was very low.
