Hotel is right of off the interstate. Price was not bad considering the prices in the area.
Older hotel need some updating.
If it weren't for my friends being there with me, I would have hated it.
The front desk guy was really rude. I also didn't like how they charged when you checked in, every hotel I've been too let's you pay after!
Proximity to the highway.
Difficult to enter the parking lot--suggest making an entrance from the on-ramp side at front of hotel. Educate front desk staff on how to identify and notify proper authorities for human sex trafficking/solicitation. It was evident young girls were being booked for 'dates' at this hotel.
Had to change hotel room, first assigned room reaked of smoke, despite the hotel being a non smoking facility. Was issued a second room and it had an award-winning size roach that stressed the family a bit.
The price and the proximity to the capital was the only thing I did like. I would not stay there again.
The room was non-smoking but it reeked of cigarette smoke. When I booked I said I prefered a ground floor. I was given a second floor room. There was nothing but fruit we could eat for breakfast as we are both alergic to gluten products and milk products. There was oatmeal but it was watery & runny.
Extremely friendly front desk, would not hesitate to stay there again or recommend to anyone else. First rate
* Choice of breakfast items * Convenient to shopping; restaurants; and to the city * Great value for money * Everything was comfortable and working in the room
Breakfast area very busy (small room for the amount of guests). Many guests don't know (or care) about parking their vehicles properly (i.e. taking up two parking stalls, when parking with a vehicle either in front or rear of them).
The hotel was more then acceptable and comfortable bed. The staff was accommodating and friendly.
I did not like the location. It didn't take long to know that this hotel wasn't in a good part of town. I have a classic car and felt very uncomfortable leaving the car in the parking lot. After the first night I didn't come back for the second night. I should have requested a refund for the second night but I didn't and just wanted to get out of there.
One night, quick stay, good price
Smelled bad. Low ceilings, small elevator, small bathroom. Tub and toilet almost touching
The location and price were key in choosing in this hotel. It was close to a Walmart, which I needed to go to several times for things I forgot.
The breakfast choices were very limited, and the room could have been cleaner. There was stuff on the walls next to the headboard in room 249. The hotel had a dead roach in the hallway that none of the cleaning ladies picked up off the floor and it was there for 2 days, and still there when we checked out. Why did they not pick it up? Glad I did not see any live ones or I would have checked out of there ASAP.
Our room smelled like cigarette smoke!
Room felt very small and crowded. Bathroom was extremely small.
Lobby not bright and inviting. Carpets in hall were dirty - needed to be replaced. Common areas had an odor - maybe to mask smoke smell although this was a non-smoking hotel. Exterior and interior need updating. Breakfast consisted of bread, single waffle maker, cereal, coffee and bananas. Breakfast area was small and dark. Not appetizing and crowded.
Staff is very friendly.
Small rooms that were dirty and very worn out.
They were the last place in Austin that had rooms. When I went to my non smoking room and it smelled like an ashtray, they gave me a different room that was really 'non smoking'.
The mildew in the shower and rust in the sink. There are 4 steps in the middle of the hallway up/down that may be hard to navigate if you cannot use steps.
Clean, room was up kept, staff was friendly and helpful, location was next to walmart & target and entrances to overpass.
Pillows are comfortable
Very decent hotel if you only need a place to sleep and shower for a couple of nights. Nothing too fancy, but the room was large enough and clean, good wi-fi coverage, decent breakfast. Can get a bit noisy because of the highway. Taxi to 6th Street costs about $20 and takes 10-15 min. We stayed for 2 nights (weekend trip) and even taking into account 4 taxi trips, all in all it was still cheaper than staying in a more central location. I think it was absolutely worth it, would stay there again when in Austin!
Noise from highway. Limited breakfast choice. Very slow and always busy elevator. But none of it was really that critical.
GOOD BREAKFAST 5 MINS. FROM DOWNTOWN CLEAN ROOM
NOTHING EVERTHING WAS GOOD
My Big Comfy Bed
Wanted to stay longer
THERE IS NO OPTION FOR EXTRA BEDS
Only that there was a room available on a busy, event filled weekend in Austin. Everyone had to pay up $$$ for any room that weekend. For close to $140 per night the service, cleanliness, comfort and breakfast were worth about a $40 per night room. Supply and demand with the client taking it in the neck. "Nuff said
Pricing was good, staff was friendly. As a single traveler it was acceptable for my two night stay.
The breakfast room was very dark and limited in selections. No eggs/bacon. The hotel was difficult to enter off of I-35. The directions furnished by Bookings.Com were incorrect. The rooms could use updating. A/C was very noisy and the shower faucet had to be played with to turn off.
