Score from 92 reviews Good
Good free breakfast, good internet connection, reasonably quiet, close to freeway. Handicap accessible room on ground floor.
The only problem I had was the water pressure in the handicap shower was very low and therefore it was hard to get a good wash up. Also the floor in the bathroom didn't slant down to the drain enough to keep the water from flooding most of the floor. A shower curtain might help contain some of the water, but a better floor slant is really needed.
Breakfast was a little weak, although better than nothing. Teenage punk kids yelling in the hallways until 3am in the morning was less than desirable, and the paper thin doors did not do anything to dull the roar.
No bad experiences
The hotel was very clean. And well maintained.
The lady that check us in was nice, but the gentleman that took over at shift change needs some customer service training. The computers that were in the front didn't work that great. Its something you kind of need for business.
It was fairly clean and not way far from downtown.
The whole building need renovations. I not very picky but I don't like rundown places like this one.
Location and price
We liked the access to the freeway and many food places. The complimentey breakfast was a sweet treat. Having free wifi and a the Disney channel was exciting.
The staff never smiled. Not rude, just not friendly. It's a non smoking hotel yet people smoked right by the door or in their rooms. The lady who runs the kitchen/ breakfast area was the rudest! The walls in the rooms looked super dirty, and the beds were old and awful to sleep on. Outdated.
Staff and price more than make up for it. We have stayed 2 times and we will probably stay again next trip to Austin.
The location is sketchy.
It was cheap, relatively clean, and near where my conference took place.
I'm pretty sure that there was prostitution going on, because people were paying in cash and they were only staying a few hours.
Nothing, will never stay here again!
The location is literally at the crossroads of freeways, which might mean convenience, but it was difficult to get in and out, very noisy, of course, and it just seemed scary (we are not accustomed to big cities). The motel itself was dingy and had the odor of stale cigarette smoke, even in a non-smoking room.
The staff was pleasant and the bonus of free breakfast and wifi was great. They cleaned our room well and always gave us plenty of toilet paper and soap and so forth. I never had to ask.
The breakfast was limited, but it wasn't too bad. The fitness room was very, very small.
Decent, comfortable room. Quick and easy check in
Staff can be a bit short at times, but fairly friendly. Smoking smell in some of the rooms, housekeeping coming too early in AM
Stay here all the time when in Austin, great location, staff is great, and never have an issue with anything. Price is always right for a night or 2 in to party in Austin.
Breakfast is good
There were bed bugs, got bites all over!
Hard bed and bathroom to small
I enjoy everything about this hotel, it's comfortable and the staff is nice
Location in city, Breakfast Cleanliness of room, Price.
Too many questionable looking people walking around the facility, don't know if they have security. Also more lighting needed in parking lot
Not enough towels
The staff was very friendly. The hotel, although older, was well decorated and very clean.
The room smelt like smoke. Also told the front desk. To make sure I did not get charged for that.
Very nice stay over all.Great location to everything.
Didn't like that the first person I saw when I pulled up was the homless man posted up near the front door. When I got to my room and open the curtain, more of them in back !!!
Nice hotel for the price. Susana the hotel clerk was very accomodating.
I paid cash for the hotel the night before our stay because I would be working late and didn't want to deal with check in nor did I want my credit card charged. The east Indian looking man that was to ck us in and give us our key insisted that we did not pay for the room and rudely told me to call booking.com. I stood my ground and told him he need to call Susana as she said all I had to do was give my id and card for incidentals and my key would be ready. Finally he said he found where I had paid and did at least apologize.
Rooms were comfortable.
No help with suitcase. As a senior it was very difficult to get luggage up to our level The hotel was not designed very well.
