I did NOT like my stay at La Quinta. I checked in, and less than four hours later, my wife had to take alprazolam because the smell gave her an instant headache, and I had to go find lozenges, for my throat became really I tried to stay because I did not want to complain but I just couldn't sleep. There were cockroaches in the fridge and in the drawers, and the nightstands and headboards looked like someone had a machete and chopped them. I was holding the headboard while trying to lift the bedspread and got a splinter. My wife took a shower and water from the roof was dripping on her while she was in the bathroom. The smell would not go away, and there was about two inches of space below the door to the room so we could hear everything and everyone who passed, and insects could crawl in. I took video and photos of the rusted items in the room. I tried to iron a shirt, and the dirty iron stuck to it, destroying it. I could not take it any more and went to the front desk, and they took me to a room on the third floor, but that was worse. When I opened the door, there was a cockroach on the counter, and the smell stopped me at the entran THen the agent took me to a room at the back of their front desk which was hot and smelly,no air-condition was on in the room, and the presence of roaches again and the terrible smell was too much. I told him that I would wait for our daughter to return for us, and I wanted to leave, so he promised to refund my money. I went back to the room and booked a Marriott hotel, but I felt that this was really ruining what was supposed to be a celebration of our daughter's graduation. At seven we were at the Front Desk and the next agent knew little to nothing about what we were talking. He then said he couldn't give us a refund and that only the manager, but he was coming in at ten o'clock.

Lauderdale by the Sea is great for all ages, kids can enjoy the pool or ocean. beach chairs & towels seem to be available at a lot of motels, this is a great convenience to visitors. Umbertos has great pizza, we didn't eat out all the time, as it was great to pick up a few groceries at Publix or Walmart and have sandwiches/hot chicken for meals throughout our stay. Minimally a bar fridge and microwave, and coffee maker are a great asset in a room when you're there for a 7 to 10+ day stay.

It was okay.
It was okay. I think the transportation service could have been better. We were dropped off at arrivals instead of departure to travel to Chicago which made it a little inconvenient for a traveler with disability.

We loved Lauderdale-by-the-Sea , because it has the best of both . the beach and the inland waterways, with their fantastic yachts and property. The water taxi is a must - the crew are very knowledgeable . Plenty of restaurants - parks - malls - waterways.

As my pictures show, this accommodation I booked in Fort Lauderdale was horrible. The name of this accommodation is "Airport - Book Now! Under New Management." It is currently under investigation by Booking.com, following not only my complaint but also following several other complaints that have been placed against this place as well. It was filthy, had a rusty and dirty locker, and the whole room smelled. The linens and the sheets of the bed were filthy, and the whole bed shook when I moved in my bed and also when the guest occupying the bottom bed moved. which made me very concerned for my safety. Also there wasn't even a ladder to get to the top bunk bed, and I almost fell getting to my bed. If that would have happened I would have sued. THIS ACCOMMODATION IN FORT LAUDERDALE WAS ALSO IN A BAD AND RUNDOWN NEIGHBORHOOD, AND GIVES THE CITY A VERY BAD IMAGE!!! The pictures advertized are nothing like the reality found at the property. Also the manager on the phone was extremely rude, He was acting as though he was the customer when in fact he should have apologized for running such a deplorable accommodation. He was condescending and hung up on me after making excuses by saying that given that this place caters to young travellers that that somehow makes it ok. Unbelievable! This manager offered the rudest customer service I ever had to deal with in my whole life. I highly recommend NOT TO BOOK THIS ACCOMMODATION. Luckily Booking.com issued me a refund, when the manager wouldn't. THIS IS THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER BOOKED IN MY WHOLE LIFE.

This is my second time staying at the Green Island Inn. I enjoy staying here as I made a few friends the last time I was here and got to see them again after not being able to come back last year. Everyone is really nice, the location is good and it is nice a cozy. The beach is right across the street, you can walk to the downtown area of Fort Lauderdale or ride a bike to Lauderdale by the Sea. I may be biased by getting to know people from my last stay but I really do like it. I will be back next year for sure.
This was our second visit to the Lago Mar, albeit 18 years ago we were there the first time. We came back for the pleasant atmosphere and vibe and we were not dissappointed. Time is standing still when in the Lago Mar, relaxing around resort and beach. Sure, time has taken it's toll on the property, but in a good way. Everything is nicely kept in what could be the 1960's. Don't expect a minimalistic, modern hotel, but a charming Florida decor. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. Surely we will be back.
Charming South Florida style hotel with great location close to the beach.Stylish and spacious rooms (we were 2 adults snd two children)
Front staff very friendly and always happy to help!
Valet staff also very service minded and understood that the valet parking was a bit pricey for us (46$ per day) and suggested a few parking spots across the road were we could park for free.
Lovely little play area for children with pingpong table and some others games.
Hotel stay was absolutely fantastic. Decor was welcoming, beachy, and so comfortable. Every detail was well thought of and the unit had everything imaginable that you would need. Place is spotless and staff was great. Its literally steps to a beautiful beach and walking distance to the pier with great restaurants and entertainment. Hands down my favourite hotel in Fort Lauderdale.
This place is a hidden gem for travelers. I work often in the South Florida area and the location was perfect. The property is in close proximity to the interstate and downtown Fort Lauderdale. Above all the rental was clean, remodeled with a modern touch and the outside patio grille area was nice. Next work trip I definitely plan on staying there again.
This was the perfect place to stay while we were in Fort Lauderdale. Easy to walk to restaurants & bars & also a 25 minute walk to the beach. The apartment had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The owners were easy to communicate with and were very helpful. The pool area was an oasis of calm next to the lovely marina. We would highly recommend.
Old style (1950s) Florida Motel. Clean, with helpful staff. The price was very reasonable considering you are in the Fort Lauderdale Beach area. Ate at a nice little restaurant recommended by the hotel clerk, expensive but good food and service. And the motel and restaurant are in a quaint area with other shops, etc.
Motel 6 Fort Lauderdale is in an amazing location. It’s extremely convenient to get to local stores. It isn’t to far from the beach and they have an amazing pool. The staff is really nice and I always enjoy my stay. I also appreciate the cleanliness of the hotel. The staff make sure they stay on top of everything.
nostalgic strip style motel;
clean, convenient and walking distance to a number of restaurants.
I used it as stopover the night before boarding a cruise, and it is perfect for this function. Very close to Fort Lauderdale Airport and Port Everglades cruise terminals.
I will use this location again and often.
This is our second stay at the B resort in Fort Lauderdale, and we also stayed at the hotel in Orlando/. Each time we are greeted with friendly staff and an immaculate property. The pool area was wonderful and the pool bar staff attentive. This location can't be beat! Right on the water and a great value!
Very good service from the hotel manager. The hotel is being renovated so consider it to be up & coming, but the older room I was in was certainly comfy and clean, and it stayed cool in the Florida summer. The pool area is very nice, the grounds are well kept, and it's very close to the beach
Friendly guy on reception! Really liked him. I was honest and told him, for rating 4/10 I didnt expect this. Our room was nice, clean, and not stinky after couple of hotels we used in Florida. I would give it 7, or even 8. Maybe our room was exception, but cant tell.
Very good room space. Very clean. Bathroom is amazing, but a normal shower. There is a very good gym available with a scale where I could weight my bags before going to Fort Lauderdale Airport.
The hotel is quite near the airport and there is restaurants nearby.
The Hotel location was excellent. Public transportation was one block away. Shopping and restaurants were all within a short walk. A short ride on the bus would get you to Fort Lauderdale beach. The hotel provided a shuttle service to Fort Lauderdale Airport.
They have a nice courtyard area with a small pool and hot tub. Plus loungers and a bbq. Walking distance to shops and the beach.
Rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was newly renovated.
Cost us 11-12$ Uber ride to the airport.
The location is excellent!! The staff were amazing and the facility was exceptional!! 20 out of 10 stars 🌟 we're definitely coming back to this hotel for all our trips to Fort Lauderdale. This is what miami beach was like before it was ruined!!
The location is very good for the Fort lauderdale area. Close to local stores, publix, walgreens, and 10 min drive to the beach. I stayed in Unit 4 and it was quite roomy. Compared to the other units.
Fantastic location right on the beach, staff were amazing and always helpful when required. Pool area was clean and use of paddle boards and Kayak was great.
