Lauderdale by the Sea is great for all ages, kids can enjoy the pool or ocean. beach chairs & towels seem to be available at a lot of motels, this is a great convenience to visitors. Umbertos has great pizza, we didn't eat out all the time, as it was great to pick up a few groceries at Publix or Walmart and have sandwiches/hot chicken for meals throughout our stay. Minimally a bar fridge and microwave, and coffee maker are a great asset in a room when you're there for a 7 to 10+ day stay.MichaelCanada - 8.0Scored 8.0

The kids enjoyed bouncing between the 4 pools and hot tub and there were a lot of places to sit outside that were well shaded for those of us who are still sporting our winter white. The family was well laid out, and had a small cook top, microwave, and two mini fridges. There were two separate sleeping spaces one with two queens and the other with a king.
