Staff seemed friendly.
We were told we would be in a "quiet" area - not so. Very noisy. Carpets in hallways and rooms needed cleaned/replaced. Could see daylight thru ac/heater unit. Unit was not on when we arrived - it was VERY cold in the room (outside temp was below freezing).
Even though we got there after midnight, the Night Staff was cheerfully helpful. The morning breakfast lady (who also happened to be the "Night Staff") was as warm and pleasant as ever. The owner was gracious and expressed her sincere concern that we were indeed well-taken care of.
I had to verify with the hotel after making the reservation through booking.com. Just an old habit, but I'm glad I did, as the hotel had not received any notice from this website. It was explained that "they only use fax to receive reservations" Sooo.... what? Fax them! It is still viable technology!
The breakfast lady that worked that day was awesome, she went out of her way to make our experience wonderful.
Poor directions and nobody answered the phone when we called. The front desk person was short and rude. Other than her our stay was excellent.
The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful, especially the lady at breakfast. Excellent value, and convenient for what we wanted to do in Springfield.
It would have been nice to have sausage or bacon available at breakfast.
Location and comfort.
Needs to be updated and rooms updated.
My name is Marcia from Indiana. We arrived tired and were greeted with a smile from the lady at the desk and every worker was very pleasant and helpful. Rooms were clean and our extra needs were meet.
Staff was wonderful, room was nice. Grounds were very well kept.
Cable was out due to storm, not their fault. But the common areas could use a little updating.
The rooms were nice and clean and the hotel was quiet.
Mattresses and pillows were uncomfortable. Strong chemical smell in hallways. Had to keep room window open to freshen room.
Everything was perfect. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this to everyone.
Staff was friendly, room was clean and comfortable. Would recommend Days Inn Battlefield.
The entire property is smoke free so we never had to walk through smoke at the doors or smell smoke in the hallways or room.
The breakfast choices could be a bit better but are comparable to other hotels. Most everything was bread of some kind...sweet.
Can't think of one complaint! STAFF very professional and helpful. Sweet lady taking care of the breakfast area more than helpful. Housekeeping ready to assist with any request. Will choose this hotel next time I'm in Springfield.
Quiet location, staff was helpful, breakfast was good, second room was nice, easy to find
room given first night was faulty, tv didn't work, & toilet leaked out from under & stunk, it was to late at night when we got to room to change, the next morning we were given a better room
The bed was really big
Bedroom smelt of damp
The staff were very cheerful and helpful. The room was clean and well appointed.
The beds were a bit soft. We were in a room that connected to another and could hear the occupants too well.
The owner tried hard to serve you e.g., carrying my suitcases to the 2nd floor, made pancake for us during breakfast.
The corridor to the room needs renovation. Limited breakfast choice. Add an elevator!
The room smelled nice after they cleaned it. It had a refrigerator and a microwave. It was pretty clean. It was an average hotel but I've stayed at better. The location was great for what we wanted to do.
The pillows were awful. They need to be normal size. Had to request an extra wash cloth. They only gave you two. Breakfast was very limited. The fire alarm went off as a false alarm but never heard from the staff until we called the front desk. The hairdryer blew the fuse in the room.
Poor coffee and breakfast
the location was good, close to the testing facility we were using, and the wi-fi was working well
we went through 3 sets of keys, and had to go back to the desk twice before we could get into our room with the keys they gave us. none of them would work. the beds were uncomfortable, although they did seem clean. we encountered not only 3 dead roaches in our bathtub, but 2 live ones running across the bathroom floor. gross! when we mentioned the roaches to the front desk, they seemed very disinterested and simply said they would look into it. overall, a very disappointing stay. we will not be going back.
We have stayed in this motel for several years on our frequent visits to Springfield. Prices for lodging are ridiculous .... due to high tax for lodging. So, even though we might find a less expensive place...we KNOW that our stay at this Day's Inn will be perfect. It is a gem.
Hotel was clean and comfortable
Hotel staff charged $85 for having a pet and would not discuss the excessive charge the room next to us had a huge dog! I realize I should pay extra for a dog but $85?
I had mixed up scheduling, but they straightened it out. We overslept so we missed breakfast. Otherwise no issues. There is a nice theatre complex next door!
The hotel is a little ways off the expressway, but easy to find.
Double billed for the stay, a real hassel getting it corrected. Different price billed than quoted on booking.com. Be Ready for it.
