The beds were really comfortable and sheets changed daily. The room was quiet and clean and contained a free safe box. Plenty of hot water. It was very warm in the room but the air conditioning worked well. Location: very convenient for 96th street subway and close to the Metro Diner.
Only one bank of lifts working. No refrigerator but a large CRT TV in the room. Decoration and facilities need up-dating.
WiFi was botchy, only had one elevator that went to our floor.
Location was good for where we needed to be.
-Telephone did not work during 3 night stay -electrical outlet for coffee machine did not work -toilet flusher was broken till fixed
This is a good location to explore New York .. We found the staff friendly and helpful. The room was large and quiet.
Only two elevators working, and sometimes a delay. The rooms were tired, although very clean. Tv had poor reception and the towels were pretty thin..
The location was the best thing about this place just a few feet from the entrance is a number one (1) subway and on the corner a very good cafe for breakfast
The elevators in the lobby were both down which made for a very very long wait to get to or from your room on the upper floors and it seemed to me that the management did not care one bit about the inconvenience this caused their guests. Until the elevators in the lobby are repaired soon I would not recommend this hotel
It was clean, comfy beds. The hair drier didn't work but they gave us a new one. The TV didn't work but we didn't go to New York to watch telly.
It was further from the centre then we thought but the subway was just down to street. We got a taxi from the hotel to the airport from the reception desk and paid $65 only for the driver to ask for extra money for Tolls we didn't give him anymore money...so just be aware
-location near 96th street subway -
-dirty carpets throughout hotel...especially the edges and corners...yuck! -concierge's American-English was very difficult to understand
elevador. muito tempo á espera
the bed and the late check out. the restaurants and shops near the hotel. the express train to manhattan and the fact that the metro station is just a few steps away.
nothing, we enjoyed our stay and will probably stay here again next year.
All was good.
The daily rate is different from the website, elevator is been using by the staff members along with the guest.
Cleanliness, location, pleasant and helpful service
Slow internet, needs revamping TV system very weak and outdated. Lack of clothing storage, no draws or sufficient closet space ELEVATOR system, the worst in the world
Location cannot be beat. Staff is superb. The desk clerk gave us an upgrade to a newly-renovated room on the 12th floor because we were staying just one night. The room was immaculate. TV, iPod dock radio, bathroom extras like razor and toothbrush, and two fresh apples on the pillows! Right across the street from a great wine store and a nice bakery for breakfast.
Slow elevators and just one bank of elevators working. So there were some lengthy waits for the elevator to arrive.
Didn't like that It took me 20mins to check in. Didn't like that three elevators were damaged so I had to edit forcthecelcator for like a half hour because I was all the way in the 9th floor and there was a line to get into the elevator.
Great location - Worth every penny if you on budget -
Nice location , walk to Central Park and ANHM, subway and restaurants close by. Good price so you get what you pay for .
Very small room with old scratched and run down furniture. Tiny bathroom. Scaffolding on the building blocked the window. Had read comments about elevators in reviews and for most of our stay it was no problem - last day one of the elevator banks broke down and the other was super slow and very full - took ages to get up and down.
Cleanliness was good, the rooms on the 12th floor appear to have been recently renovated. But the corridors on this floor are poorly lit. Very convenient for Metro. Staff very helpful.
The lifts are slow because one is out of action with its twin very jumpy. The other pair of lifts feel safer and consequently everyone uses them.
staff checking me in was professional and very pleasant. very geared towards being very customer service oriented. wish I could have had her checking me out as well.
cable didn't work all that well, staff was multitasking while checking me out. little more attention towards me could have been way better. elevaters needed to be updated as well. no more than 3 or 4 people could fit and were very slow.
The room was renovated, modern and clean.
comfortable bed, convenient location
no fridge, low on towels, clogging toilet, room phone not working
Quiet, very kind staff at the reception and facility to reach the subway
The lack of a refrigerator The TV set should be renewed
This hotel is at an excellent location! It has three access to the subway all within a block radius.
We arrived a bit early but we wanted to see if our room was ready, which it wasn't, the lady at the front desk was so dude and had a serious attitude. She didn't even offer to hold our luggage til the room was ready...the rooms are extremely over priced for what you get!!!
Waiting for elevators was terrible, especially when work staff was also using same elevators and had large bins. It was difficult to access both room and lobby in a timely manner.
Many compliments to the staff, especially all front desk/lobby people, who were so helpful and kind.
Most elevators out of service, so there were long waits - standard room very run down, hard to get hot water early in the morning. Patched carpet, bulging wallpaper, cracked tiles in bathroom. For the money I paid, it should get a thorough renovation.
