Very close to the subway station so easy to move and visit the city.
The rooms are very old need a rennovation
staff was really kind and helpful
our neighbors were partying all night...very loud, fighting and we heard the door slam every 15 minutes...because there was also arguing, we were hesitant to say anything.
i like the location of the hotel
the elevators was to small and the floors in the room had dips in them like little holes
Bed was completely comfortable. And the bathroom had good lighting.
Location & value
Only two very old elevators which are also used by staff/service. Incredibly slow and inconvenient. Bathrooms on two separate stays were in disrepair; peeling paint, peeling tub surfaces, fixtures hanging from wall. Temperature control - heat - is not individualized but is only operational when heat for entire building is on. If you're cold there's NOTHING you can do about it.
Location to subway. Good price.
This location was two blocks from Central Park (which houses the Metropolitan Museum and Central Park Zoo) and was also a very short distance to the 96th St subway station. The Statue of Liberty and 42nd St (Times Square) were both one express train away.
elevators, broken television
The room was very nice and clean; the location is great: next to a subway station but in a quiet area; the staff is very nice.
The elevators are very slow; We stayed in the 13th floor, and in order to get to the lobby we had to go down to the 12th floor.
Poor elevator service. Only one worked.
last minute deal was good, better than several rates in the area. Worth a night stay
TV was old and a bit cloudy. Only side elevator worked. Water in tub went down real slow.
everything but location
The bed was comfortable. The room was simple like what we wanted. The location was great right next to the subway! We visited the 11th floor and it seemed like they were remodeled up there because everything was clean and sleek. If you're looking for more luxurious I would ask for rates on the top floors.
The elevators are slow. The TV was extremely old and hard to see with very few channels. The hotel could be better maintained.
My favorite room 1205
That I needed to go to work and was not able to sleep late and rest
Spacious room, free wifi, nice view & good light, flat screen tv
Bathtub was peeling.. Asked for extra blanket but never received. Elevator situation VERY inconvenient as only 1 operational for most of the time which is also used by staff.
Friendly staff. And room was beautiful
The room was freezing, there were not many tv stations, the bed was uncomfortable, and we both had neck aches the next day from the pillows.
The location of this hotel was perfect for my trip.
I hated the floor plan, it's extremely confusing. And why have 13 floors and only 1 ice machine that's located on the 11th floor!?! They also need more vending machines.
Comfort. Clean. Good maintenance and a tourist guide book.
No breakfast, no parking,
The price and location are a good match.
It was VERY noisy on the 4th floor. Not only the street noise, which can be expected I suppose (though if there were better windows it could help immensely) but the doors offer no sound-proofing at all from the hallways and we had a group of young adults just hanging out in the hall, making lots and lots of noise.
I did get clean sheets
My room was very cold. The hotel room looked gross. Wallpapers were peeling off. The tub was old and rusted. I had to keep going down the elevator because I couldn't get into my room. Couldn't find the ice machine and the person at the front desk who I had asked had no idea. Never again.
The room we originally received was a disaster! It was very small, cold, dirty and with furniture from the 60s. We were asked to pay for upgrade to get a better one. Only 1 (out of 4) elevator was working so we had to wait sometimes more than 10 minutes for it. What is worse is that the people working at the hotel were using it as well for their duties. We often shared the elevator with a guy with couple of big garbage bags for example. Strange!
Do not have wifi signal there.
the location was good.
The rooms were not the best. Older which is too be expected but it felt dirty. Weird lady yelling in the middle of the night. Also only one set of elevators working. There was a 5 minute wait just to use
