King rooms: bathrooms seems renovated, good water pressure including hot water. When asked for a quiet room - got one on the 12th floor that was very quiet. Small parcel sent to hotel address was received. Upon check-out hotel allowed to leave my suitcase in the luggage room for almost 24 hours.
Elevators, corridors - outdated, need renovation. Rooms: floors seem to be cleaned negligently.
The bed was comfortable ,shower was nice
Bath room toilet water was loud and kept running all night
Excellent value for money, good sized rooms and comfortable beds, one of the quietest hotels I've stayed at in New York, no street noise at all!
Hairdryer and TV in our room didn't work, bathroom wasn't cleaned properly (hairs lying around on the floor)
Only one Elevator works. Great inconvenience Some plumbing leaks In sink, bathtub. Big delays because only one elevator works. In some rooms very old TV.
The staff was very gently. Location was good ( near to the subway)
The wi-fi at the room doesn't work properly. Was necessary go to the lobby for a good connection. Breakfast not include.
Location was good, right off the subway. Friendly staff.
Elevator made me worry. Disappointed there was no continental breakfast, but they did give us a coupon voucher for a reduced breakfast nearby, but I had to ask about it. I feel they should have said told me when I checked-in. Not many channels to chose from, but when you're in NY to visit, you should be out there seeing the sights. Still it would have been nice when it's time to wind down to have more options.
Location and free wifi
Too expensive .. Very dirty carpets
Good location, staff helpful where they could be, room comfortable.
Two working elevators not good enough for a hotel of this size (and no-one seemed to be in any hurry to fix the other two). Wi-Fi in rooms intermittent (though good in lobby). Faint blue light in room (which I couldn't work out how to turn off) could be disconcerting for light sleepers. Expensive for what you get, but that's to be expected in New York.
Location is excellence as near to Red Sub-way line. Direct ride to Southern tip of Manhattan - Battery Park without change of line
Facilities a bit old and room size a bit tight.
Location is great and staff very friendly
No hot water. Luke warm at best Only 4 television channels Room was not cleaned and I was there for 3 days Elevators were broken And the hotel charged me a upgrade fee of 80 dollars and did not tell me or have my ok to do it
It should include breakfast.
Location location ...location....subway to almust any wher you csn go n restaurant w cslie for money.....
Old elevator slow in service no clean u hav to ask
Many thinks... Not really customer oriented. Waterdamage in my room...was not informed about, no support on moving, not good treatment
The location is perfect. Close to the subway, Central Park, Narural History Museum and mant other points of interest such as Columbus Circle, Times Square and Madison Square Garden.
One of the elevators was broken. This meant us waiting around 5 to 15 minutes most of the time. Since we were in the 4th floor it was not a big deal (despite an old injured knee). Nonetheless, the higher the floor it gets worse (add luggage). Hopefully, this is something temporary. I stayed between 10/15 and 10/19.
Very conveniently situated. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room had all the necessities
Noisy at night
Liked the location and that the room was clean
It says that parking is nearby. That is a gross misinformation. All the parking lots are booked and you cannot get in unless you book far in advance - weeks before you arrive in New York. There is no Parking nearby!!!!! They also say that they have laundry. The front desk told us it is only for residents! Another piece of advertising misinformation. It had four elevators but for the eight days we were there only two were operational. There was a long wait to get to the top floors. I saw one guest very mad because he booked a room with two double beds for his family but was only given one king bed room. The front desk blamed booking.com.
the location was convenient for the purpose of my visit
the lift sytem is not sufficient for this size of hotel
The beds were really comfortable and sheets changed daily. The room was quiet and clean and contained a free safe box. Plenty of hot water. It was very warm in the room but the air conditioning worked well. Location: very convenient for 96th street subway and close to the Metro Diner.
Only one bank of lifts working. No refrigerator but a large CRT TV in the room. Decoration and facilities need up-dating.
WiFi was botchy, only had one elevator that went to our floor.
Location was good for where we needed to be.
-Telephone did not work during 3 night stay -electrical outlet for coffee machine did not work -toilet flusher was broken till fixed
This is a good location to explore New York .. We found the staff friendly and helpful. The room was large and quiet.
Only two elevators working, and sometimes a delay. The rooms were tired, although very clean. Tv had poor reception and the towels were pretty thin..
The location was the best thing about this place just a few feet from the entrance is a number one (1) subway and on the corner a very good cafe for breakfast
The elevators in the lobby were both down which made for a very very long wait to get to or from your room on the upper floors and it seemed to me that the management did not care one bit about the inconvenience this caused their guests. Until the elevators in the lobby are repaired soon I would not recommend this hotel
It was clean, comfy beds. The hair drier didn't work but they gave us a new one. The TV didn't work but we didn't go to New York to watch telly.
It was further from the centre then we thought but the subway was just down to street. We got a taxi from the hotel to the airport from the reception desk and paid $65 only for the driver to ask for extra money for Tolls we didn't give him anymore money...so just be aware
