Location, cheap compared to similar hotels in the area, spacious bed and room. Helpful staff and relaxed about who enters hotel etc.
Very slow lifts and very slow (free) internet.
Location and staff CornerCafe
Slow or broken elevators Decor on lower floors
near to the metro station and cafes
no warm blanket in the room. the hair dryer did not work
Friendly staff, relatively quiet, good value, access to Upper West Side activities, shopping and transportation. Nice NYC neighborhood vibe.
The location was perfect.
Too Expensive Hotel No Parking possible Untidy Heating doesn't work properly One Elevator was down Very uncomfortable bed
Internet absent or with a lot of problems
i CANCELLED MY RESERVATION & WAS TOLD I WOULD HAVE A CANCELLATION CHARGE - EVEN THOUGH I REQUESTED FROM THE BEGINNING SOME CLARIFICATION OF CANCELLATION FEES. YOUR FORM ALSO SHOWED THAT CANCELLATION WOULD BE ACCEPTED UP TO 24 HOURS BEFORE THE CHECK-IN.
I HAVE MADE MY CONCERNS KNOWN TO YOU AND WILL NOT PAY ANY CHARGES FOR THIS RESERVATION. Mrs. D. J. Schnabel
It was fine because of location. It is not very far from the heart of Manhattan. Great was that you can make a coffee or a tea in the hotel room.
The employers dont tell you hello. Hotel is not very clean. The room was small and not very clean. A bathroom is old. I dont recommend this hotel and i think what about a price you can find better and more comfortable hotel in Manhattan in Nyc.
The location is right in Manhattan near a subway station
The bathroom flooded! No one came to fix it for over an hour! Staff just walked in while I was getting dressed without knocking! The room we reserved was not the room we were in! THERE WAS A SPIDER IN THE BED WHEN I PULLED THE SHEETS BACK TO CHECK THE BED!!!
Clean room. Good price.
The parking garage around the corner was full. They need to warn you that it is possible that the garage could be full. The rooms only had bath towels. They did not have hand towels or wash clothes. The tub did not drain until you stepped out of it. Very slow drain.
Smoking room available Very helpful and patient staff
Toilet did not always flush Key did not always work
One of the cheaper hotels. Close to the rail station
Service was quite slow. The elevators were so slow you had to wait over 10 minutes for a ride. Door didn't lock right. The heater made a hissing sound all nigh.
Location right next to an express subway station. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom clean. Free wifi in the room!
Smelly hallway and elevators out of order.
Attractive lobby with fireplace. Close to restaurants for breakfast. Friendly staff. Close to Subway. Quieter than downtown. Easy to get a cab. Great price for New York!!!! We would stay again.
The area was convenient. The price was cheap for last minute deal.
Everything. The hotel is in very bad shape. The employees are all very unpleasant to speak too. The door man does not even open the doors. The concierge doesn't know anything. I was scared to come back with Bed Bugs.
A global painting session will be grateful
Subway to uptown and downtown is just seconds walk from the hotel door. Shops and eateries right outside. Easy to get to Times Square, 1,2 or 3 subway to downtown are regular from 96th street and take 10/15 minutes depending if you catch the express service or local stopping one. Area felt safe at all times of day and night. Staff were friendly enough and there was always someone at reception. Rooms clean and the ones on floor 12 and 13 very spacious (can upgrade for around 30usd per night, worth it we thought) Would stay again if returning to NYC
Nothing to mention really
unfriendly staff, elevators did not work, not really clean, smelly, far too expensive for what it offers, unsafe, interior worn out, rusty bath,
Clean sheets Clean towels Close to the metro A lot of places to eat out around A supermarket Tee and coffee in the room Free luggage room
The bed was too soft for me (but that is subjective)
The hotel was close to the train and their were plenty of places to eat around the hotel. The bed was comfortable. It was okay for one night but I wouldn't stay their for multiple nights.
The hotel was very old and the walls were very thin. You could hear everything that was going on in the streets and hallway.
purple lights under bed
entrance door to room has wide opened space underneath.
Froze all night. No cable. Old furnishings
