Terrible location in a gritty neighborhood, entrance is a bit isolated. Might feel safer driving in rather than walking from the nearby subway stop. Restaurants nearby, but doesn't feel safe to venture out. The manager had the "lobby" set up like a fast food take-out joint, with a clear plexiglass divider separating the "front desk" from the guests--Even gave back a small paper receipt like from a grocery store rather than an itemized bill. There is no actual lobby, just an elevator in the entryway. The room was very small and there was no room to walk to the wardrobe or the window, I had to hop over the bed. The breakfast was microwaved omelettes, cookies, Dunkin donuts. There was a lot of traffic in the hallways, and a lot of sex noises coming from a couple of other rooms as well as the smell of marijuana. Turns out the hotel also rents rooms by the hour. Was awoken by some trick yelling at her john to take his things and get out. Hookers need to work too, I guess, but that doesn't make for an ideal hotel stay for the rest of us. Staff also indifferent to rude, could not care less about your comfort. There are nicer hotels in nicer neighborhoods in Brooklyn--go to those and do NOT waste your time or money here.
The bathroom was large and clean. The pillows were soft.
We arrived late (11;20PM), but called to inform first. Front desk personnel were not very helpful that night and our keys did not work then and 3 other times during our 2 night stay. the front desk was fine next day. One reading lamp didn't work, the light in the bathroom only worked occasionally, the telephone messaging system did not work. Breakfast was fine. The woman who staffed it was helpful, pleasant and very efficient
Checked in 2 hours after booking, but somehow the hotel received it 5 minutes earlier from when I arrived. This hotel is more for people who want to stay for a couple hours, why? Well I booked a smoking room and somehow all their rooms were sold out. Poor customer service, when I asked if the room I received was a smoking room, the front desk said "no, but you can smoke lightly and open the window". Huh?! Worst experience ever. Like I said, if your looking for a couple hours rendezvous, sure. But overall, I would NEVER recommend.
Loud. Lots of noise from outside, and from inside. throughout the night you could hear lots of people talking loudly. Could be the location and not the sound proofing.
Continental Breakfast was adequately stocked with cold breakfast items, cereal, milk, muffins, doughnuts from a local deli, yogurt, etc. No hot breakfast items that I saw. There was coffee and tea too.
The staff was pretty rude, they definitely lacked common courtesy, and the room was extremely small. My friend and I barely had room to move around. There was also a blood stain on the wall in the bathroom along with strands of other peoples hair on the towels. The walls were so thin, although the bed was comfortable I barely got any sleep because we could hear the other guests yelling and banging on doors all night. & The wifi was a joke, far from high speed, I was better off using my LTE when I had it. I guess that's what you get for the price we paid and booking last minute.
The location was pretty good, a few blocks away from the metro and not to far from places to shop and restaurants.
I was amazed on how the staff went above and beyond to help us. A++ we stayed dec 28-new years day would come back anytime. Sincerely, Room 401
rarely fully cleaned rooms, twice a week maybe
breakfast, friendly staff, flexible owners
cigarette holes in comforter smelly room staff said I could late check out at 1pm upon arrival but called and told us to leave at 11am.
location was close to music venue that we were traveling to
the room is fairly small no electric plug to charge your phone near the bed
fairly close to subway the breakfast is better than other day inns the bed is acceptable
Room was small, but clean. I could smell smoke--could have been coming from other rooms. The ice machine didn't work. No ABC on the channel lineup. ???
Location. On a residential street between two commercial strips with plenty of places to eat. No trouble with parking. (very few spaces) If you need it, A bus runs in front of hotel and subway stop is three blocks away. Oh, the In room safe for your small items. The Breakfast was cool. The Wi-Fi worked just fine.
Did not smell so fresh everywhere Bit dusty here and there Noise from subway is a bit loud
Parking facility Beds were okay and fresh Location Price
The room was very small. Breakfast was not good.
All night diner up the street, laundry across the street.
Not enough electrical points in my rooms, I had to unplug one of the lamps to charge my phone, cause there was only one free point but not close to the bed. The toilet is no good it barely flushes. The room I was in was pretty small compared to a similar hotel I stayed at for about the same price. ice machine was working.
The subway is about two blocks away. Staff courteous and helpful. Rooms are clean. Wifi worked. Overall I would stay there again if I have to, since the location is good, safe and access everywhere.
Breakfast lacked choice a little and the noise from the road and subway may not be for everyone but we had a good nights sleep each of the 7 nights
Clean rooms, comfortable bed, helpful staff, 3 block walk to subway
IF YOU HAVE A BETTER BREAKFAST, IT WILL BE BETTER!
The room was somewhat small and cramped for three people; the room in which breakfast was served was equally small and packed with people, there wasn't a place to sit.
The staff were kind and professional and available if we needed help with directions.
Location..right off the 39th street BQE exit
No lobby at Reception.price is high.
Friendly staff and great breakfast.
The room was tiny, The shower only had lukewarm water. There were cigarette burns in the cheesy synthetic bedspread. The bed wasn't very comfortable. I asked for a quiet room, but every fifteen minutes all night long the train came by with brakes squealing. One of the worst hotel stays ever.
booked a nonsmoking room but my room stank of cigarrete smoke. bathroom sink had toothpaste all over the faucet. tub had hairs in it.bedsheet had stains. i was charged more than the price quoted on booking .com and I am not referring to the taxes. the room rate was $30 more a night.
hotel is close to the train station, breakfast included and lots of restaurants nearby.
parking lot has a little small....
Room is super small/ booked smoking room received non smoking room/ very limited parking. Place is just to small for a hotel period
Only next to the subway
They did not have a waiting lounge for guest who is waiting for a taxi
I like their cleanliness,
