Manager couple are very kind and helpful
There was some device in the room (lamp, AC, fridge) that made a noise
Clean, quiet and great location!
Breakfast, coffee was good.
Rooms small, tv not so good, needed another mirror in room.
The manager was very nice. The breakfast was very good.
The smell in the room was musty. The bathroom vent was broken so everything stayed damp. Needs some updates.
good price, good breakfast, comfortable room
everything a bit shabby
Close to beach, good breakfast, great staff, liked horses, and easy to get in and out of.
Every thing was ok
Great price Great location Clean & very nice staff
We enjoyed everything about our stay. Staff was very friendly, rooms were comfy and clean. Breakfast was a nice touch. Would recommend this hotel to my friends.
Nothing I Can say that I didn't like.
Location was great
Not a very good breakfast and not very good room to hold breakfast. No room for clothing or luggge in room upkeep not the greatest
The breakfast was good.
The room clean is not really clean, special the bathroom and sheets.
Location near national park. Clean. Extremely friendly staff.
Everything was fine.
The bed was uncomfortable and wrapped in thick, noisy plastic. The room overall was outdated. I could hear everything going on outside of the room, in the hallway and outside. Not worth the money at all.
Great to be so close to the beach, the ponies, and the stores. We'll return next year for sure!
No handicapped ramp at the back entrance for my disabled companion.
The desk clerk on duty Thursday, August 21, 2014, a little after 3:00 pm deserves an award for the flak she was taking from customers while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor. The previous shift clerk should be retrained by her. For a tourist trap area the price is ok. Did not eat the available breakfast but did drink some coffee which was hot and fresh.
Gravel driveway with potholes. Handicap ramp is on registration side of the building and you drive around to the other side of the building for parking. Ample handicap parking there but no ramp. Whole hotel has a musty smell. Reserved king room. Only two in hotel (according to afternoon clerk), both on second floor -- no elevator. Afternoon clerk offered to change our room to a first floor queen room (Room 100) which we took although the room was quite small. After moving in we realized there was no place to hang up clothes, not even a hook on a door. Had to use hanging bag on bathroom door which precluded it from being closed all the way. Room was very warm and stuffy upon arrival -- ran ac on max for a couple of hours to cool down the room. We got there early and very rude midday desk clerk would not allow check in - ok as my reservation said check in was 3:00 pm. She was unpleasant to deal with and seemed upset when I asked her if there were restrooms in the lobby we could use -- there are none. As an official of a large nation-wide volunteer organization I will be required to travel to Chincoteague a couple of times per year but never again will I stay there. Days Inn should screen their franchisees better.
Location Ease of access to the island Breakfast provided Soda Machine (although it was a $1.00 for a 12 oz can...)
The rooms were old, definite need of updating The bathroom door did not latch when shut Wi-Fi was incredibly inconsistent and not very strong in our room Had to ask for toilet paper upon arrival Ice machine was *outside*
Staff was friendly and helpful. Their location is perfect for bicycling into the reserve or grabbing dinner at nearby restaurants.
Small rooms for the money.
The staff was very accomodating. There is a small pool that our children really enjoyed. it was located right at the entrance to Chincoteague Island Refuge/Beach.
Our air conditioning unit was very noisy and so was the fan in the bathroom. Kids slept through it, mom, not so much.
more than 4 hours on checking in and checking out. massed guest service
Staff at Days Inn were very helpful and friendly, room was clean. I love the towels, large and plush thirsty.
Cheapest toilet seat possible, was broken on one side when we arrived, reported to cleaning staff. Continued to break until completely broken at end of 4 day stay. Breakfast area was cramped and crowded when majority of guests are eating, between 8:30-9:30, this area obviously not intended for breakfast originally.
1. People were very nice. .2. Room was clean and neat other than the ants.
1.There were some ants on the dresser. Just a few so not a huge problem. We just killed them. 2. This sounds picky but the comforter was to thick. It would have been nice to the choice of using a blanket instead. 3. I would have like to see a larger breakfast area it was very crowded. 4. We had to leave a day early an still had to pay for the night. 5. There could have been been more material available about attractions. (especially the pony aution and swim)
Location, pool, kids loved the ponies...
Morning staff not friendly, they did not keep up with the breakfast bar. At 9:00am there was no milk for cereal, no juice, just white bread.
The room was very clean. We were able to check in early. We didn't like our first room as it was right next to the reception desk and noisy. We asked to be moved and were immediately accommodated. Coffee was very good.
The breakfast had a variety, but the yogurts were all "kiddie" yogurt. I would have liked to seen regular "adult" yogurt. The first room had a Febreeze "plug in" --very overpowering. I read a USA today paper was available, but there were none
I drove over three hours to stay at this hotel. When I get there, the front desk lady says I have no reservation in the system and blamed booking.com. She looked through some papers at the front desk and found my reservation. She said "Oh it was never put in the system and this has been happening all night". I'm thinking this is YOUR job to put this in if your using booking.com. Further, they booked there last room before I showed up and said they would find me a room somewhere. I had to stay at some dumpy hotel for the night and left the next day I was so pissed. Extremely disappointed that I wasted my weekend due to their laziness. Talk about a let down.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Drawers on dresser were broke.Continental breakfast was very poor and ran from 6:30 am until 9:30 am.Should go at least until 10 or 10:30.Had to go to front desk and ask for toilet paper,no spare rolls in bathroom.Came back to room from beach at 5:30 PM to find staff installing new tv.Could not use room for half hr.
