Nice people at desk.
WI-FI was just adequate to slow.
Bed was comfy and the pillows were great.
Breakfast was over at 9am sharp. The lights were turned off and everything was cleared immediately.
I choose this hotel because its close to AVIS rent a car because I have to return the car
Not spacious, they said it will fit 4, but it isn't
Breakfast was terrible. They were out of almost everything.
Fan on heating/air very noisy.
Very Close to the airport. Was a one night stay. Slept well. Restaurant in the hotel was ok. Service was excellent.
The carpet, etc., was a bit dated, but the bedding was immaculate. Everything was clean. The staff was polite and helpful. The location and shuttle was so convenient.
Uncomfortable, hard pillows Rooms dusty and must A/C was loud and didn't cool room
Close to airport, and the shuttle was good. That's about it.
Room A/C unit, smelled awful. Bathroom and carpets smelled terrible. We all felt nauseous and could not wait to check out in morning.
location; price and convenience, especially have guest laundry on site
the dining room needs some work; dishwashing room very noisy due to door open constantly and very visible to guests.
The shuttle driver was rude and the shuttle smelled strongly of cigarettes. The front desk guy was rude. The decor of the place is old. It seems like its 20 + years outdated.
It was close to airport
There was no soap in room. Bedding had stains. The elevator quit working. Rooms need updating. Shower had no place to put shampoo bottles or wash cloth.
The staff was friendly and accomodating. Very close to the airport.
The hotel is very dated. It doesn't look or feel like a typical Days Inn. The floors/carpet in the hallway and guest rooms, as well as the mirrors were very filthy. My socks were black on the bottom after walking on the carpet. The sink and tub drained very slow. No microwave in the guest room. The on site restaurant was not very clean either. Again, the carpet and table tops were visibly filthy. I never understood why the housekeeping staff asked DAILY if we wanted service and seemed annoyed when we answered yes. I did not feel safe walking through the parking lot. People were sitting on the curb smoking nightly. The only reason I did not change hotels was because there were no vacancies within a 5 mile radius of the airport. I will not stay here again.
The Air-condition sound inside room was terrible and very old facility! The fan inside the toilet was unbearable! Big problems in plumbing! There is generators located outside hotel and just near to the rooms which caused annoyed sounds! There was some humidity and painting issues in room. The breakfast was very poor!
The wonderful lady who set up the skimpy continental breakfast should get a raise. She should be training the rest of the staff on hospitality in a crisis which is what it feels like when you stay. These people seem like they are doing the best they can with minimum wages and no support from management.
This hotel is cheap, not inexpensive. There must be better deals in this area. The carpet is dirty with huge black stains every 5-7 feet in the halls. The room does not look clean with peeling wallpaper and stained fixtures in the bathroom. The towels were not changed, beds not made, trash not emptied, and a disinterested staff. After a day of meetings, I had to take my own linens and trash to the front desk and to get clean towels and a new liner for the trash. The hair dryer is a fire hazard clanging, whistling, and finally quitting completely. Requests were met with a demoralized staff that is obviously used to unhappy guests. The restaurant--we sat down and they only had a few things we requested. So we asked for directions to the closest restaurant and left. Unkempt, dirty, lack of attention to basic services, missing items that were supposed to be in the room, and a staff that lacks morale.
Good location when you want to stay close to the airport
I checked in and was never told that I was going to be charged on my card. I wanted to hold on my card then pay cash when leaving. Found out I was only booked in for 1 night when I reserved 2...but never again. I visit Detroit every year some time twice
the pick up and drop off to the air port
the extra cost for the parking which I feel the web site did not inform me of properly.
Decent pricing - free 24 hour shuttle to and from the airport - shuttle was packed full of people, but luckily I was the first stop.
I was located at the end of the hallway and the wifi did not work in my room (which they said was a normal occurance) - so I had to go to the lobby in order to check my email. I was also very unhappy they would not grant me a later check out time. I had arrived at 1am the night before and I was being picked up by my business partner at 330pm but the hotel check out time required me to be out by 1200pm. They guaranteed I could stay until 1230pm, but said it would 'probably' not be a problem to extend it slightly (I was only asking for an hour or so). The next morning they informed me that I would not be able stay past 1230 because they were short staffed for evening housekeeping. I asked them if I would be able to wait in their lobby for three hours, which they said was fine. Shortly after 12 housekeeping arrive at my door (although I had personally already informed them I would be leaving at 1230) and asked if they could start cleaning my room. I let them in and proceeded to try and get ready around them - which was not ideal as the door was wide open, I was not packed and I had to listen to them talk about the other rooms/customers in the hotel. The whole experience was not horrible, but also not ideal. Not sure if I would stay there again because of this - there was another hotel right next door that I may look into should I travel to Detroit and need to stay near the airport.
convienient to DTW; staff was friendly
despite being non-smoking, I could smell smoke in the room. Facility is very tired and worn
Nothing impressed me.
All the channels were not working properly. Your front desk person was not friendly and the breakfast should have more selections ( scramble eggs, real breakfast meat and waffles.
the hotel was very clean and staff where very kind to us . the food was great and the bar staff very friendly. thank you again for a wonderful stay. see you in a few weeks.
The staff's honesty! My wife's credit card was found in the restaurant and the front desk staff tracked us down to return it.
The carpeting in the hallway should be changed. They are stained.
They refused our reservation made on line and told us that they did not accept online reservations. We ended up sleeping on the airport floor. A very trying situation from beginning to end.
Location. Next to the airport and close to car rental companies
breakfast and Wi-Fi are really bad
