I liked the man at the desk advised us not to go out and walk around because the area is not safe.
Not in a safe neighborhood. Sits across the street from a foundry. Hotel is NOT in walking distance of anything.
Staff was nice, and room was clean.
The hotel wasn't located where I thought it was. It wasn't in the best area of town. The hotel was also further from downtown than was originally perceived from the listing on the internet.
Breakfast Walking distance to downtown
I liked the friendliness of the clerk at front desk
Location was a little scary
Limited television channels
A friend And I woke up with bites all over us and we found the bugs in our bed. I have over 100 bites all over my body. I had to go to the doctor to get a shot because my arms were swollen from all the bites. My friend got bites on her face and her face was swollen. It has been a long few days with how bad they itch. I had to miss a day of work because the only way to control the itch was by taking Benadryl.
Close to Interstate. Apart from that a good average.
Clerk was rarely at the counter. There was always a sign there with the information on it that he us not able to stay at the counter for the moment. Of course also at common check-un/out time. Avoid the taxi of which you can find business cards at the desk. Not reliable.
The service was great, very helpful getting a cab and anything else that we needed. The price was outstanding. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
The neighborhood a little scary at first but then you realise that the majority of the factories are empty. Really nothing around.
The room and hotel itself was fantastic, beds were very very comfortable rooms were clean bathrooms were nice. The room does come with a fridge and microwave both were clean and useable. Location is not the greatest there is nothing around but it is just minutes from Edward Jones dome, the arch and downtown shopping. I would def stay here again.
We were fairly close to downtown but did need to drive or use taxi.
pretty seedy part of downtown, though felt safe for the most part. the breakfast area was not kept up well, no staff checking supplies, etc
Nothing! Scary neighborhood. Strong chemical smell in room. Noisy partying in hallways and rooms all night. Never again!
remote area. Boarded up buildings. Strong odor in room. Noise and partying in hallways and rooms all night. Thankful to get out of that neighborhood!
Floors dirty hair In shower jus wasn't comfortable too expensive for what I got
They were accommodating with moving us to a new room. The price was reasonable.
The first room they gave us, while it was listed as non-smoking, smelled terrible. All the carpeting in the hallways and elevator were stained with muddy footprints. The hotel was surrounded by what looked like a security fence. The location was very "sketchy". I would not recommend this hotel.
Beds were comfortable. Shower was very good.
I wanted a non smoking room and it had been smoked in. The carpet in the halls and elevator desperately needs cleaning.
This hotel is a comprise in what's important. First, the location isn't the best. It's not unsafe, but is not beautiful. It's in an industrial part of town that seems like there might be some change coming soon. It's about a $10 and 10 minute taxi ride to get to the Arch...not bad at all. The staff was very accommodating and the room was very clean. This is not the Hyatt or the Hilton, so the hotel is not going to feature the amenities of those places. But, without those amenities you can save a lot of money. I went for a wedding and the others stayed across from the arch. They also paid double. For my money, I got a clean room, not too far from the city center, very quiet, free excellent wi-fi (which you are not getting at the higher end hotels), a microwave, fridge, and a small breakfast. The continental breakfast was enough to get you started and out the door. Not going to fill you up, but coffee and waffles for free are more than the big hotel chains offer. If you are traveling on a budget, this is a great deal. Make sure you call the day before to confirm your room! Makes it much easier at check-in.
Free newspaper Shower was nice
Extremely overpriced. Carpets were filthy disgusting The neighborhood was super scary. Definitely will not return
Clean rooms. clean common areas. Quiet.
Location was in run down area. empty warehouses. No nearby restaurants. No place to take a walk.
Room was functional. Staff was pleasant and friendly. Good value for the money. Was quiet not alot of noise and comtion.
Was a little hard to find at first but that could also been because it was first trip to St. Louis.
Employees were nice. Fitness room available.
Only room available was smoking. Shower head did not work. Cigarette holes in sheets and blankets. Very little available for the 'continental' breakfast.
The location was great and the staff were friendly and it was a clean hotel
The breakfast wasn't very good other it was a good place to spend the night
The room was clean. It was quiet.
It's in a terrible location. The price was too high. Breakfast wasn't stocked at all. The only food was waffles, oatmeal and dry cereal.
The price was good. The room was clean The staff was very good Easy to get back on the interstate.
The location is bad, you need to drive or take a cab to downtown. The carpet in the hall was "very" dirty.
Location was good as far as downtown but scary looking where it's location was actually at.
Had shower issues when we got back to the room . Turned on water to get in and water went all over the bath floor floor. No shower head was on shower. It was almost 11:15 when we got back to room and front desk just handed us a new shower head to put on. I asked if we could have extra towels for the flooded floor. He said yes. Could not get the remained of old shower head neck off with no tools. Went back down and they finally moved us to new a Room about midnight. When we checked out we had to pay for both of our rooms and I finally asked for a discount for all the issues. He said 10 percent off the one room. Then on our way home called and asked if we took the extra shower head and we told him know the young guy his son I guess tool it back when we came back down a second time. Breakfast area not up to bar and milk shoukd be on ice or refrigerated. Nice people who worked there just didn't seem to know how to handle our situation very well. Maintenence shoukd have fixed shower head and cleaned the mess not me or we should have been moved right away it was getting very late and we were all tired.
The price, staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable
The halls were dirty, and smelled bad. The wifi did not always work. The location is not great.
Close to downtown and other locations
Hallway smelled bad and was very hot
