America’s Convention Center is across the street from this downtown St. Louis hotel. An indoor pool is available year round and rooms are classically furnished and feature cable TV.
Score from 284 reviews Good
I had a roach on the bathroom door way and the toilet had urine under the seat.
I didn't like that they told me they could not accomodate me. Then, after I made other accomodations, they still charged me and then refused to refund my money. Truly an unforgettable experience.
Location, if you are not walking around.
All was OK.
Hard to find and in a questionable neighborhood.
rooms quite, beds good, lots of hot water, very clean rooms
slow in replenishing food when there was a lot of people (10 or more) had to wait for help to come !!and then get more, milk, coffee, syrup was out, no one to find to get more, no jelly, no sweet rolls, know the motel was full, but still that was one reason to stay there was for the breakfast.
We slept good despite the area. Owners were friendly.
Well, I don't think that was downtown. We miss the turn off the Freeway and traveled in the abandoned warehouse area. No one told us the right way to go even a police officer or maybe because we couldn't believe where we were directed.I have already paid online and there where no other hotels open because of the play-offs. The police where there I think just for presence. It cost the same as the Hilton in Memphis the night before with breakfast...we did not stay for breakfast...left asap.
carpet stained, furniture spotted with something, food at breakfast was as basic.... toast, waffle or cereal NO Fresh Fruit.... is all there was.... TV...BAD....Worst place i have ever stayed........
The staff was wonderful, the hotel was clean, beds were comfortable and price was very low. Also a very quick ride to the stadium.
The location is in a run down neighborhood. I didn't feel very comfortable, not a good place to go for a walk.
I liked the man at the desk advised us not to go out and walk around because the area is not safe.
Not in a safe neighborhood. Sits across the street from a foundry. Hotel is NOT in walking distance of anything.
Staff was nice, and room was clean.
The hotel wasn't located where I thought it was. It wasn't in the best area of town. The hotel was also further from downtown than was originally perceived from the listing on the internet.
Breakfast Walking distance to downtown
I liked the friendliness of the clerk at front desk
Location was a little scary
Limited television channels
The hotel itself was okay, the staff helpful.
But we would never go there again!! It is in the ghetto of St. Louis, the taxi driver told us that and said it's a bad area. Another guy called it a tough neighbourhood and even the concierge told us to be careful and trust no one! We didn't feel safe at all and only took the taxi to get there and back.
A friend And I woke up with bites all over us and we found the bugs in our bed. I have over 100 bites all over my body. I had to go to the doctor to get a shot because my arms were swollen from all the bites. My friend got bites on her face and her face was swollen. It has been a long few days with how bad they itch. I had to miss a day of work because the only way to control the itch was by taking Benadryl.
Close to Interstate. Apart from that a good average.
Clerk was rarely at the counter. There was always a sign there with the information on it that he us not able to stay at the counter for the moment. Of course also at common check-un/out time. Avoid the taxi of which you can find business cards at the desk. Not reliable.
The service was great, very helpful getting a cab and anything else that we needed. The price was outstanding. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
The neighborhood a little scary at first but then you realise that the majority of the factories are empty. Really nothing around.
The room and hotel itself was fantastic, beds were very very comfortable rooms were clean bathrooms were nice. The room does come with a fridge and microwave both were clean and useable. Location is not the greatest there is nothing around but it is just minutes from Edward Jones dome, the arch and downtown shopping. I would def stay here again.
We were fairly close to downtown but did need to drive or use taxi.
pretty seedy part of downtown, though felt safe for the most part. the breakfast area was not kept up well, no staff checking supplies, etc
Nothing! Scary neighborhood. Strong chemical smell in room. Noisy partying in hallways and rooms all night. Never again!
remote area. Boarded up buildings. Strong odor in room. Noise and partying in hallways and rooms all night. Thankful to get out of that neighborhood!
Floors dirty hair In shower jus wasn't comfortable too expensive for what I got
They were accommodating with moving us to a new room. The price was reasonable.
The first room they gave us, while it was listed as non-smoking, smelled terrible. All the carpeting in the hallways and elevator were stained with muddy footprints. The hotel was surrounded by what looked like a security fence. The location was very "sketchy". I would not recommend this hotel.
Beds were comfortable. Shower was very good.
I wanted a non smoking room and it had been smoked in. The carpet in the halls and elevator desperately needs cleaning.
This hotel is a comprise in what's important. First, the location isn't the best. It's not unsafe, but is not beautiful. It's in an industrial part of town that seems like there might be some change coming soon. It's about a $10 and 10 minute taxi ride to get to the Arch...not bad at all. The staff was very accommodating and the room was very clean. This is not the Hyatt or the Hilton, so the hotel is not going to feature the amenities of those places. But, without those amenities you can save a lot of money. I went for a wedding and the others stayed across from the arch. They also paid double. For my money, I got a clean room, not too far from the city center, very quiet, free excellent wi-fi (which you are not getting at the higher end hotels), a microwave, fridge, and a small breakfast. The continental breakfast was enough to get you started and out the door. Not going to fill you up, but coffee and waffles for free are more than the big hotel chains offer. If you are traveling on a budget, this is a great deal. Make sure you call the day before to confirm your room! Makes it much easier at check-in.
Free newspaper Shower was nice
Extremely overpriced. Carpets were filthy disgusting The neighborhood was super scary. Definitely will not return
