The afternoon front desk person (arrival) was very unfriendly and rude.
The morning front desk person (my departure) was awesome. Extremely friendly and helpful. New mattresses, very comfortable.
Not being able to park in front of my room because of trucks taking up two parking spaces , I have a handicapped son and had to park quite aways from room
Staff and cleanliness
The room was freezing. The bedroom door didn't close all the way and it was super drafty all night.
One of the help left mud at the doorway.
Value for money and staff pleasant and helpful
The day after checking in I saw charges that I had not authorized and the hotel said it was a security deposit, although they already had my credit card on file. There was much aggravation associated with that, but the straw that broke the camel's back was the night before I was due to check out, there was a mouse in my room! The front desk person came up and allowed me to move my room (it was 11:15 P.M.) but acted like it was a matter of course as did the daytime front desk person. The night desk person said I should probably consider staying in a more upscale hotel the next time and suggested I move hotels. By the time I had moved to another room it was 1:05 A.M. I got absolutely no sleep because the new room was right next door to the old room so I was not at all comfortable. I kept my clothes on just in case I had to leave the room again. We were due to get snow in the morning, it was late, I had already showered and was ready for bed, so I just couldn't think of moving but really should have left the hotel. Everyone at the hotel acted like it was no big deal, except they did refund that night's stay. I had paid for that day in cash but they wanted to refund the money on my card, which would have taken another few days for it to hit my account. That was definitely not acceptable to me. The day manager said, "you seem to only want what you want." I said, "I only want what's right! If I give a merchant payment in cash, I want my cash refunded." Ultimately, they refunded my cash for that one day but really should have wiped out the rest of the bill because there had been so many challenges (not enough room to cover everything here) and they had a very, very unsatisfied customer! I had also been in touch with Customer Care daily since I checked in to make them aware of all that was going on since on Sunday the manager was not there and was not responding to his front-desk person's calls.
Where do I start? Let's start with the fact that I first paid for a non-smoking room and they stuck us in a smoking room. We thought all the rooms were like that so we decided to just suffer through the no doubt lung cancer inducing smell. The real kicker was when we were awoken at 1 am, by a rattling bag. We discovered there was a mouse in our garbage can. A live mouse in our room. They moved us to a room ten rooms down, which evidently was a nonsmoking room, I could tell, because we could finally take a deep breath without feeling like we took a drag of a stale cigarette. When I asked to see the manager the next day, he wasn't even in. Wasn't in the entire weekend, so instead of getting a refund on my night, I had to settle for a measly 30 dollars that hardly covered ours taxes for the original price. I've stayed in some terrible hotels before but this one is the worst. I'm never going back to a days inn, no matter where it's at.
EVERYTHING WAS AWESOME THE FACILITY - THE STAFF - AND THE CLEAN ROOM
Front desk person (woman) on weekend wasn't too nice. She granted an extra hour of checkout time to another guest but did not offer that option to me when I asked.
Location of the hotel and value. Attentive maintenance staff.
We actually killed a cockroach in the bathroom!!!
The staff was as helpful, friendly and proffesional as any I have ever encountered.
Front desk was very helpful esp. as we were very late checking in. Location was central & quiet, room was clean, internet access was strong. Would certainly stay here again!
Lack of feeling private. Had to keep curtains closed. Wish there could've been verticals to let some light in. Makes one feel claustrophobic. Refrigerator on floor must've been defrosting at one time. Plug was out, carpet was wet, towels in and sticking out of refrigerator. Not keeping up with the esthetics of the room. Front desk said I had multiple bookings there, which I only had one date change, not 3! There is miscommunication between Booking.com and motel.
Bathroom was very clean. More spacious than room itself.
Rare bus service, but it is not the hotel's fault.
I love living in Log Island, earlier I have done it for two years that is why I selected a Long Island hotel. Getting home was a bit long time, but there quet and excellent air. Good room, polite service, interesting guests, from Illinois to Malaysia. Good and relatively cheap hotel.
I think it is expensive than quality.
I love to stay in same place.
very expensive stay to be so old and dated. Breakfast wasn't very good either.
The pool was nice.
A suggestion that the outer windows and the air conditioners be cleaned. And the windows be oiled? or something, to make them easier to open. There was so much hot air inside the hallway.
Very friendly young man when we checked in at 10:30 pm. The room was clean and the renovated bathroom was beautiful.
outdoor carpet had rips
great value and staff, very friendly
Nearby Nikon Theatre at Jones Beach
The price that I was quoted, was not what I paid. The hot water did not get hot at times and I saw a few bugs in the bathroom.
Hotel is not worth of what I paid.
Carpet was dirty A/C noisy and poor cooling Two of the towels were damp Door does not lock easily
Location easy for travel and parking was good
It wasn't very clean. The free breakfast was a joke. The staff as eating breakfast along with us and they kept running out of food. One gentleman staff reached over me while I was toasting my bread to make his toast. Then I asked him if there was anymore orange juice left and he just ignored me. So I went into the front desk for assistance and management had to tell the staff to refill everything. I think the staff shouldn't have meals with the guests especially the food the guests are trying to eat. They should eat before work or atleast after the free breakfast hours. That's a suggestion. It just seems more professional that way.
The space of the room, air conditioning, and the beds very comfy. Oh yeah and the outdoor pool.
It looked very sketchy from the outside and I was a bit worried. The wall unit AC turned off numerous times in the middle of the night and I needed to keep turning it on.
The room size was very good, and they were able to accommodate a roll away bed at the last minute. The room was very clean and comfortable.
