The rooms are always impecably clean and nice. The staff are absolutely nice and warm. Even the chambermaids are very polite. Door guys got me a cab and run around outside although it was cold and heavily snowing. Bravo Zulu. In military, it means good job.
My bed is too foamy, I feel like I'm sinking. I'm use to my posteurpedic which is firm and less bouncy.
The area had a lot of shops within walking distance such as Trader Joe's. The room had a microwave and a refrigerator.
The only negative which really is not is the parking. You have to either valet park or self park but all of Chicago is like that.
The neighborhood was really nice. The beds super cozy.
Lots of plastics and waste at breakfast.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the continental breakfast was an added bonus. The room was a little too hot, but once I figured out the heating system it was fine. The location is great, less than 10 minutes walk to the El, and about 20 minutes into the city. Plus there are lots of places to eat and shop around the area itself.
The walls are a little thin so loud people in the next rooms can be heard quite clearly. The wifi was a little patchy in parts of the room, but worked well overall.
the staff are super cordial. I wish more hotels would learn from from folks here
frat boys in the breakfast buffet where rude as ****. nothing the staff can do about it, overall great time
Due to maintanence we were upgraded to a suite.
The location is very accessible by public bus.Connection is very easy from O'hare airport by CTA train to logan square then Bus 76 stop is 3-4 mtrs from the Hotel entrance. Staff were willing to help with Directions.
Nothing much really but I was not sure how the air conditioner/heater would effectively work if I draw the curtain because The air con is right below the window. So I choose to keep it open
The parking is a problem! The hotel has a public parking lot behide, it is a dollar cheaper if you just park in it yourself. They say they have valet parking but it's in the same parking ramp we followed an employee valet parkering and he had to do the same thing we did. Drive around, up and down the parking garage for a good 30mon before finding an opening. Besides the parking the stay was good.
There was parking around the hotel that cost $26 for 24 hours. With a $1 fee to the hotel, there is a valet parking with in and out access all day. The beds were nice and there was plenty of space in the room.
The down side was the bathroom. Very small and not as nice as I was expecting for the money.
Room was GiNormous, and comfortable. Facilities were old, but in good shape. The value overall was excellent
The WiFi didn't work well. Little to no connectivity.
travel into downtown was incredibly easy by having a bus stop just moments away. staff was nice and friendly, rooms were clean. the free breakfast was also pretty good. lots of choices for a continental breakfast
wifi wasn't super strong. we had connection, but it was a bit flimsy. the room was awkwardly shaped, and it was difficult to get into the bathroom at times because of it.
train and bus convenience.
Not one smoking room. had to go outside to smoke. Pretty sure we will use another hotel in the area on our next trip. cont.bfastn was a 10.
No heat in the bathroom, no ventalation either.
I liked all the arrangement about this accommodation. The location is good ( not in the Loop, though in easy walking distance to the 'L' station, which will bring you anywhere around Chicago. The room was good, the bed very comfy. Breakfast very good. Internet/wifi reliable. Hotel clean, staff most polite...and price good. Who wishes more, can upgrade by price to more expensive place, though unlikely gets much more than this
there wasn't anything I wouldn't like about this accommodation. If anything, perhaps the hotel advertises link to some gym nearby, which has also swimming pool. It is not true. The hotel has its own gym, which it uses for this purpose, and this gym does not have swimming pool. It does not make the hotel any worse, it only needs to update/correct the information on line.
Bed was comfortable, building and facilities very clean and well-kept. Breakfast generous with good choice.
The bathroom had a step up that I know I tripped myself numerous times. then the other thing that was odd is the toilet paper dispenser is right next to the toilet so when you use the bathroom you almost have to turn sideways. Odd
Nothing in particular
good location - close to the lake, metro and generally downtown.
horrible view from window very noisy heating system horrible breakfast
You get what you pay for. It is very reasonably priced and the hotel was clean. Staff was friendly. A bit of travel time to get to where everything is downtown.
The bed was very uncomfortable, room was cramped, no water pressure and the hot water only lasted about 10 minutes.
Close to what we needed to do
Bathroom to small
If you plan to get around Chicago using CTA, hotel is at the intersection of three bus routes (22, 36 and 76) and short walk to Brown Line. Room and corridors very clean and bed comfy. Our room faced inner courtyard so no street noise. Breakfast standard Days Inn fare. Housekeeping very quick to clean while we were having breakfast. Front desk staff outstanding.
Standard double room is small but two people can move about. OK if you're not planning to spend a lot of time in room.
Very noisy air-conditioner
Clean, comfortable room. Pretty good continental breakfast with plentiful food included in room price. Nice neighbourhood with shops and restaurants nearby and easy access to L train.
Staff, location, service assistance & cleanliness, etc., all excellent...
Only negative is that the tap water seems highly chlorinated, tastes a bit too much.
