Very noisy air-conditioner
Clean, comfortable room. Pretty good continental breakfast with plentiful food included in room price. Nice neighbourhood with shops and restaurants nearby and easy access to L train.
Staff, location, service assistance & cleanliness, etc., all excellent...
Only negative is that the tap water seems highly chlorinated, tastes a bit too much.
The staff was very friendly and the room was comfortable.
Days Inn was in a great location. Close to restaurants and shopping.
Bathroom was small and needed updating. Poor water pressure in shower. Sink was very small. No place to set anything in bathroom. Room was small.
Location is great, room was very clean and comfortable.
You have to sign in to the network every time you use the computer. Elevator is slow -- I almost always used stairs.
It was central, clean , friendly staff and great breakfast. Would recommend it to anyone of my family and friends.
Upgraded room good facilities Easy access to public transport - 20 mins to centre. nice breakfast
Room was a little tired
Location was very walkable and close to public transportation. Modern bathrooms and decor. Very clean.
The bed was a bit too high and squishy for me, making it difficult to get into and too warm in a room that did not allow for much temperature control. I wish there had been a place to sit other than the bed, but there was just a desk & chair in a separate "room"
The location is really good, even though its outside of downtown Chicago there are plenty of shops and restaurants very close to the hotel. Its really close to Lincoln Park & the lake. Downtown is easily accessible with the close by L train and you can be at the Loop within about 25/30 mins. We travelled with a small baby and there was a microwave off reception to heat food and there is a fridge available at reception to hold food in etc. Its very reasonable priced. Breakfast is included and although basic is very adequate to set you up for a day of sightseeing!
The rooms are on the small side and the beds are small, we booked a room with 2 doubles in it even though there was just myself and my husband and our 9 month old but I was very glad we did as in a basic double we would have had no room to move. Some of the staff were a little standoffish but on the whole they were friendly, polite and helpful - particularly the staff in the breakfast room.
small size room
Friendly staff, breakfast included in price. Good location.
Cold bathroom (no heating), expensive valet parking.
Friendliness. Quietness . Public transportation directly in front.
Nice neighborhood, felt safe, walking distance to Wrigley (1 mile)
The hotel was very nice, clean, up to date, the beds were like sleeping on a cloud, the staff was beyond helpful and helped us with everything we needed to know as far as being first time Chicago visitors. Will always be my first choice to stay and will def recommend to anyone that goes!
I loved it all !
Friendly staff, gave me tips for the day and where to get a cheap haircut... ;-) Nice area!
Close to Wrigley
I really never got a good night's sleep. Few frat boys party'ing up until the wee hours. And the main door a few doors down was louder than all heck. Every time it closed, I was woken up. Couldn't wait to get home and get a good nights sleep.
Broken Elevator Piss-Poor Reception with barely alive staff Staff more engaged with mundane administrative tasks than catering to staff. THis is one star hotel at best.
staffs were not helpful and polite however not all.......
The bed was wonderful - great down-like (I assume not real down) comforter - had a wonderful night's sleep free breakfast valet assisted with bringing luggage from car to lobby and staff member assisted with bringing luggage to my room
Location very inconvenient by car to get to front of building due to one way systems crowded narrow streets if you do not have a car probably fine- bath tiny , a step up (dangerous) tiny room, sloooooow tiny elevator, front desk clerk staff was rude when I inquired if parking/valet fees were waived for hotel guests- told me I should have read the website more thoroughly and if I didn't like it I could park my car myself but there is no free parking - all I asked was were the valet fees waived for paying hotel guests a simple "No I am sorry, guests are also required to pay the $26 a day fee" would have been a satisfactory answer elevator very antiquated and made a loud BANG a shook every time it stopped at a floor - also very small only 3 or 4 could fit per trip less if there was luggage involved
Staff is quite polite and heplful.Subway is at 10 minutes walking distance.Witin 50 m TJMAXX, Wallgreens, CVS, Starbucks etc is reachable.Everyday housekeeping and towel change (if requested).Coffee machine in the room was perfect favor. Breakfast was better than expected.
I could not deal with shower head.Maybe it was my bad...
WiFi Breakfast. 1/4 mile from L station
Room is described as 124 Sq Ft, it was just over 100, not including the unusable narrow entrance or ensuite. The bed is narrower than an English Double by at least 5 inches, making things a little cramped. There was just enough walking room around the bed. The air con unit was massive and due to its proximity to the bed, it could not be used at night. The bathroom had a tiny shelf so space for toiletries was limited. Parking @ $26 a day.
- Location to easy transportation (bus and metro), food (all types), shopping (all types) - Price- cheap for location - Free breakfast
- Small stairs, doorways, bathrooms. - Unhelpful welcome staff (Did not give us details on parking options/prices or how to navigate area and take public transportation- ended up asking a stranger on the street what bus to take and where it is located).
