We were a football game , NYJ @ SD CHargers hotel was close to Stadium
The shower water pressure was brutal , the Shower head Pointed at my navel , ants in room The free breakfast area was discusting
This hotel was only about a mile or so from the city trolley that you can take into downtown SD and straight to the Qualcomm Stadium. Day pass was only $6. Would definitely stay here again to save on hotel cost. It was no ritzcarlton but we were just fine. Plus they serve continental breakfast with hit waffels you can make yourself.
Towels had someone elses hair in them. Light in the kitchen didnt work. Very little light in the room in general. Shower wasnt working at first. Had to rescrew it in.
A little noisy because the hotel is at the side of highway.
The location was perfect for if you want to stay close to SDSU and are not going to be in your room too much.
Heard a rat munching on something behind the wall the first night. Ants crawling all over kitchen and bathroom the second night. Found a hole in the wall underneath the air conditioner.
affordable, good complementary breakfast, clean pool
bathroom too small, toilets run, very thin walls. Location is in the run-down part of San Diego
Everything about this place was horable, when we first checked in our room wasn't even cleaned up, after they cleaned up the bathroom is still dirty the kitchen was still dirty the coffee pot didn't work good stove glass top was broke the carpet was tore,in the morning will be in to get breakfast there's no breakfast, they said it was due to no electricity in the breakfast room. when I complained they said there was nothing there to do it cause the manager wasn't in
the only thing I liked was the friendliness of the housekeeper, everything else was horrible
Free wifi and parking. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Needs updating. There were ants crawling on bathroom walls. Pool needed cleaning.
Pool and staff
The room was old and poorly done. The bathroom was really old and needed work also the biggest problem was that their AC blows just air not cold air just air this led to me and my gf not sleeping a wink the entire night. I would never go back
When we booked we were shocked to read the reviews of how bad this place was and we were a bit hesitant. We arrived and were greeted nicely and received our keys and were happy with what we paid for. Breakfast was complementary and was well worth it. Would stay again.
No cutlery or plates or anything to cook with. Didn't understand why there was an oven etc when could use it.
Ok it is not the place where i have stayes ever but i think price is good. Clean and breakfast. Only 10 miles to city center
Everything was good except
hospitality at the free breakfast staff is unfriendly and seem to hate their job.
Great location right off freeway, short drive to beaches. Nice to have a kitchen (just a heads up no dishes or anything to cook with). Breakfast was okay but the room it was served in was a little small and hard to move around in.
floor was wet from air conditioner. Hole in carpet by bathroom door poked foot on a nail poking through the hole several times. One of us woke up covered in bites.
location easy on off freeway
carpet old and dirty room smelled musty. elevator very shakey. addtion of fruit to breakfast would be a plus
Bathtub/Shower unusable due to being clogged up. Cleaning staff did not report it prior to getting room. No one on maintenance staff available to fix at night. Ants in room.
Outdated, dirty bath tub with hair and ants, needs major upgrading
Room was in poor condition (light switches broken, paint chipping, dated kitchen), someone else's hair was everywhere (on the tables/desk, with the coffee pot/stuff, on the counter, etc.).
The breakfast attendant worked very hard.
Outdated rooms. Room was hot when checking in. Pool was cloudy.
The pool was lovely and the office staff were very helpful and accommodating.
Unfortunately this hotel is not close to anything that a visitor to the city might like to see or enjoy. After a mile walk to the train, we were able to get down town to see attractions. There are not even any restaurants close by that you could get to. Everything was at least a mile walk away. While there were kitchen facilities in our room, there were not any dishes or cutlery or pots and pans to use. The price of our stay changed depending upon the night. The first nights cost was somewhat reasonable however due to comicon, the cost of the other nights doubled which in my opinion was a totally unreasonable amount to pay for the quality of the room as well as the poor location. I would not recommend this hotel to others.
Everything. I would not recommend this place for anything. Greg Patel who claims to be the owner is nothing but a rude..... He should not be in charge of any place with his attitude. His staff are of little help and lie when you book in, just to get your money.
The facility is conveniently located next to Interstate Hwy 8 at Waring Road and thus offers good access to the Mission Valley area as well as surrounding shopping. The rooms are large and generally comfortable and they do offer kitchenette units, without utensils. The breakfast is better than most discount priced motels, providing waffle making, cereals, including hot oatmeal, yogurts, and a nice selection and variety of pastries which the staff replenished regularly during the breakfast times. The pool is large and was also clean and there is a good exercise/workout room.
This is an older facility that is under badly needed renovation. Apparently Wyndham Group recently bought this and they decided it did not meet their standards. Half the garage parking area was filled with remodeling trash and materials and the lobby was being painted, literally, when we arrived. While the rooms are clean generally overall they did NOT offer cooking utensils in our kitchenette unit. We were quite unhappy with this, but they said it is noted somewhere on the website and they had only a few cooking packs that were given on a first come, first served basis...we had reserved this motel specifically because of the self-catering feature as we were on a long, cross-country trip on a budget. They cleaned the room daily, but never replaced the toiletries and soap in a full week. Seems a silly, stupid and trivial thing to try to save money on...especially since its Wyndham Group which is the world's largest and owns some of best hotel facilities in the world like Ramada. Guess the you need to be sure if the "sun is shining" where you want to stay if you expect full value for your money.
We loved the staff, very friendly and sweet. My daughter loved the pool and my husband and I enjoyed the Jacuzzi. The breakfasts was great as well. Thank you so much.
Our room was very old. We had a restroom with dirty stains. And our cover's we're stained as well, good thing we had our own.
We woke up to a lot of ants in the room. I didn't get a chance to sleep in alittle cause I was so disgusted.
the bath tub was very old and need remodeling
Nice office people, room was clean
Room smelled like damp clothes, old furniture
We got to check in early. The room seemed to be clean, even though it looked like someone had started to do reconstruction in the room. The price for the room was reasonable.
Staff wasn't overly friendly, but nice enough. The hotel is under reconstruction, that would have been nice to know that before we booked. I was taken aback for a second in my room. Parking was a bit tight cause a lot of stuff from the hotel is stuffed into the underground parking.
