The sole amenity when we arrived was a partially used bottle of shampoo. Housekeeping was gone for the day, and the desk clerk Shawn went to great lengths to find and provide soap, shampoo, and Kleenex. The AC wasn't working properly and there were no outside windows, and we waited over an hour for a maintenance person to come. Therefore, we had a very late dinner. The light in the room was very dim, and the bathroom had one can light in the center of the ceiling -- no light at all for the vanity mirror. The ice machine was broken, so Shawn had to get us ice from the kitchen. There was no in-room coffee (and the information on Booking.com didn't say there was). However, there also was no coffee available in the lobby, and none even within walking distance of the hotel. We should also note that the fax from Booking.com regarding our reservation didn't arrive for 6 1/2 hours. By then, there was no king room available. Our wonderful desk clerk managed to change things around in order to get one for us.
The desk clerk, Shawn, went above and beyond the call of duty in trying to remedy problems. The lobby, hallways, and room were fairly recently renovated and were attractive. HBO was available. Internet was slow, but it worked.
