I found the Norfolk staff very friendly and helpful. Food was good. A nice place to relax.

I paid for an up grade room. And found the room furniture to be in poor condition. Surface to furniture damaged showing chip board.

I was placed in a quiet area.

I presume that the inexpensive price for this hotel draws the 'party crowd'. It was a red flag to me when I arrived after traveling over 3 hours to a check-in desk that was set up like a high security bank. I needed to use a rest room urgently and was denied. The clerk would not 'buzz' open the door lock. Also, the check in window appeared to have bullet-proof glass allowing only transactions through a 'slide- under tray'. It made me realize that I have to keep my guard up while on the premises. Also, pillow cases on the pillow seemed dirty.

The sheets seemed to be clean.

We walked pass 3 units before arriving at our suite that looked like they were either broken into by police or the inside of the suites were a mess. The location seemed unsafe. Someone knocked on our door and tried to open it while we had the "do not disturb" card in the door!! The stairwell smelled like urine and had cigarette butts on the floor. The towels in the suite were dingy and I did not feel comfortable taking a shower or using the tub. Very disappointed!!

It was affordable and easy to find.

When we arrived to check in for our reservation we were given a non smoking room and the staff was very annoyed when we told her that we reserved a smoking room online. We were then given a handicapped accesible room which was right by the stairs. The room itself was dirty including dirt stuck on the walls, hair on the floor, toilet was not cleaned, and there was carmel popcorn and garbage under the beds. When we got into bed the linens were put on the bed while still wet and it made the whole bed wet. There were loud people yelling in the parking lot and car alarms and loud music until 3 am. I would never stay here again even for the savings.

Good value.

Dirty rooms. Old towels from previous guest. Unfamiliar hair on tub. Vents to AC and bathroom full of mold, dirt, and who knows what else. The room felt creepy and was completely falling apart.

Ease of booking including ability to change dates. Good bed. Good front office staff.

Breakfast. Would prefer just great coffee and perhaps a granola bar and fresh fruit.

Locality to freeway, shops

The Staff was rude the night of check in. Also, we requested to have our rooms changed because we asked for non smoking rooms and they gave us smoking. They didn't want to change our rooms when the hotel was relatively empty.

Price

It is within a short drive of the Norfolk airport. The wifi works. The breakfast offerings are adequate but not gourmet. The price is reasonable although I was not prepared for the 13% VAT they tacked on.

They ran out of hot water at breakfast and didn't have more ready immediately. The key deactivated before we checked out. The bed was a little soft for my needs but I need a firm bed.

This facility was close to the airport and we arrived in town late at night so it was convenient. The bed was adequate. We had everything we needed considering it was a one night reservation. It was functional and a good price. No complaints.

Although it was a non-smoking room it smelt smokey the bed mattress was old, & air to noisy to sleep with. you pay for what you get

Left over hair in the bathroom. Towel rack and on the floor around the corners. Bathroom ceiling still needed work.

It is very calm and Peaceful place to take rest

The summing pool is not clean and there were no enough bath soaps and body lotion

The location and easy to get around.

To tell you the thruth the bathroom wasn't as clean as I expected,don't get me wrong the staff clean but they should pay more attention to the walls,and bath tub.

Didnt like the free breakfast, it was too crowded and wasnt enuff food.

No that much. We had to move to another room in the middle of one night because of a broken smoke alarm. Our room didn't get cleaned or serviced on another day. The breakfast was not good. We went out for breakfast most days even though it was free at the hotel. I will not stay at this Days Inn ever again. Thomas Zerella

Staff needs to be more friendly. Also we were put in a room where ac was making huge loud noise! Why would you put someone in this room Knowing that the ac was making noise unbearable to have a good sleep? Rooms had lots of dust and bathroom shower was clogged so water wasnt drainning....I Am not coming back.

My non-smoking room smelled like smoke, I believe the cleaning staff stands in the doorways smoking while they are cleaning. I watched one cleaning lady doing this at several different rooms!

It was not comfortable at all. The bed was extremely hard we slept on the floor, the toilet had a ring it, towels were never replaced. I have stayed in many Days Inn but in Norfolk Virginia never again will I book a room in a Days Inn.

Would have been a great hotel if I could have recieved towels and wash cloths everyday there was a problem. No one serviced my room the entire four days. One day after getting out the pool they had no towels or wash cloths so we could shower. Called manager he never spoke with me. Had to call 800 number to complain to get towels still did not get enough for family size housekeeping was rude
