Easy to locate, easy drive way from highway Fast internet Free usage of PC and printing facility at reception area

Noisy especially our room facing the highway entry during early hour Elevator is dated and only one for this four storey building. Maid changed fresh towel but not fresh bed sheets,,

Generally I don't expect too much and am very glad with hotel room. I was very unhappy at the Days Inn. The room wasn't clean and the bed was dirty and full off bugs!! When I discussed it with the staff, they didn't do anything to make it better and just said that's too bad.

The staff at the check in desk were extremely friendly and helpful. This makes all the difference. We were able to walk to the sea front and to the touristy city sights.Restaurants were also easy to access.

The outside of the building does not reflect the inside.

    The price and availability

Would normally prefer a more boutique-style Hotel with a more luxurious feel.

Hotel is within walking distance (10-20 mins) of gaslamp district, San Diego bay and amtrak station. Rooms are very clean and beds comfortable. Free breakfast is pretty good but standard bagels, cereals, coffee, juice etc. Price is reasonable. I would stay here again.

There is only one elevator and its kinda slow. Also the elevator smells a bit like wet dog...

Probably not the hotel fault, but the hotel borders 9th Street, which happens to be a favorite route for people walking their dog's. The area has the faint scent of urine and some pet owners do not pick up after their pets. I had to traverse the area several times during my stay and after a couple of days and nights, I couldn't take it anymore.

Very good breakfast for this hotel category. Bus nearby, with 2 stops in the city center.

The only negative thing was that the locker in the room didn't work as some guest had taken the key away. When coming back in the evening by public transportation there is a hill to climb....but that's San Diego !

Close to downtown and Gaslamp District. (Walkable). Room was clean. AC worked well. Simple Breakfast Included

Breakfast Room was small and Breakfast offered was simple, but fine... Cereals, danishes, Coffee & Bananas. (Better than some hotels, but cheap basic food). Was more of an older Motel Style vs Hotel, but San Deigo weather makes this not a big deal.

The room was clean. The employees were nice enough. The option of free breakfast which we didn't eat. The closeness to the zoo.

The location was not so good and the parking lot was ridiculous and having to pay $15/day as a paid guest was insulting. I also had an added tax close to $30 surprisingly added to my bill at checkout which was not mentioned when I booked the room. For the price I paid a night it was not worth it. The noise level was hard to sleep through (drunks and homeless in the neighborhood and cheap hotel walls).

The guy that checked us in, John, was great and super helpful with maps and advice about where to go. They allowed us to leave our luggage behind the desk after we had checked out until we left San Diego later that day. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was good. Great value for money but you do sacrifice a little on location - about a 30 minute walk to downtown.

The door wasn't flush with the doorway, there was a gap of at least a centimeter in places, which meant the room was not soundproofed at all - could hear traffic and sirens at all hours of the night.

Location is good If you want to be close to Downtown and pay less. Seems old from outside but rooms are well decorated and clean. Breakfast is good except small breakfast room

    Breakfast room is too small.
