That we only were actually at the hotel for a short period of time the two days we stayed... Basically to sleep

Well it was a bit disconcerting when we walked in to see the bullet proof glass at the reception area of the lobby. We got there about 11:30 at night. Not long after we were in the hotel room my husband said he thought he heard a gunshot , I listened and did not hear anything so thought maybe he was just hearing things. The next morning when we got up and went to the lobby to get some brochures for things to do in Washington DC, low and behold there was about 5 police cars in the parking lot with about 5-6 police men/women, one which had a ball of used yellow tape they use for crime scenes to keep people away. The room smelled like old cigarette smoke even though we were supposed to be in non smoking, the shower curtain kept sliding down the curved shower bar so the water was going outside the shower, they never replaced the washcloths when they cleaned the room, the Internet was poor, had to keep logging into it.. lost the signal multiple times.

Internet connection (fast wifi, even though description only mentioned wired internet)

Location and price were good for my purpose.

On arrival, the room was dusty. They need to improve on house keeping. Most of the house keeping staff could not speak English. I also had the ill luck of occupying a room that doubled as the equipment room. My privacy was interrupted severally to correct internet & Satellite communication services.

Rooms have more space

Toilet tiles are not covered with carpet so it was terribly cold, got smoking smell when I entered the room

It was in a good location to shopping and the metro

Everything was so old. The bed had springs coming up from it, the shower had mold. The door wasn't secured too good. Needs to be renovated.

We were there to see Washington DC. The subway train was in walking distance, 10-15 min away. The area was safe to stay and walk around. The rooms were very clean. When we decide to go back, I would defiantly stay there again.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. Our stay there was good.

Price

The property was misrepresented on the Booking website!!! It was nothing like the photo depicted or the write up described. I would not have stayed there if the description or photo been more accurate. I will be much more careful when using Booking.com in the future (if I ever use it again).

Convenient to DC

They did not have the roll away that I reserved. My son had to sleep on the floor. It smelled like cigarette smoke. People next to us smoked. No parking.

Free shuttle on weekdays. Variety of pillows.

Lack of plugs in rooms. Too many stairs. Too little parking. Stains on carpet and furniture.

You had everything you needed as a traveller in the room.

The previous guests were smoking, and the room still had the odour.

The only thing I liked was that I was comped one night after my final complaints.

I did not like the housekeeping. My door was left open twice and anyone could have come in. When the issue was called in nobody did an investigation or a follow up. I also did not like that housekeeping did not replenish the towels or toilet paper in the bathroom. They left a pile of dirty sheets on the floor. Also, there were numerous items that were broken such as the headboard, the shower, and the sink. This hotel needs a lot of maintenance. There was also a light switch that controlled the electricity on one side if the room, but no sign letting me know that so I was out of electricity for one night.

Location was great.

The lights werent working, the plug in bath was broken, the tv was very old and had a bad signal and was only in black and white, the chair for the desk was way to low for desk, there was a very big gap in the front door where there was a breeze coming through (I could fit my finger in this gap), stains on the chair, bed very sqeaky, wasnt any coffee amking facilities in first room, and lights werent working so had to give me another room. Rubbish outside the room in garden. Just very poor conditions overall in comparison to the other Days Inn I have stayed out for the same price.

Room was comfortable and clean.Staff was very friendly.

Tv cable was loose and TV was very fuzzy. Hallways and stairwell was dirty and full of trash on weekend (better during weeek). Weren't enough towels and cups for number of people in room until I asked.

our first room the tv wouldn't play,second room bathtub stopped up and there were roaches present in the room and the tv reception was bad

Staff very polite and concern

Change a room 3 times one smell like cigarette smoke, and the other one the light was bad in the bathroom, the other room had burned lights to. poor maintenance.

There was a dirty towel hanging on the bathroom door. There were fingernail clippings on the floor.

The plastic cup tasted like mold, the bed was uncomfortable, the door wouldn't close without forcing it, there was a lot of noise, the bathroom tub was scary!

Friendly staffers, nice clean, warm room

Minor complaints: remote probably needed new batteries and one lightbulb was missing - were not addressed during my stay.

Bed lamp not working well. Beds are not clean.

Le lack of working Internet was an issue!

Internet was not strong to permit a connection!

10-15 min walk from metro, mall & restaurants. Free wi-fi.

Room was very old and out -dated, had a stale smell to it. Neighborhood not so good.
