Got the job done. Was in town for a Chiefs game. Close & easy route to and from the stadium.
The pool was the size of a hot tub. There were people yelling outside our room. Sirens sounded ALL NIGHT LONG. My kids were scared, I was scared. Will never ever stay there again.
close to kaufman stadium
I like the staff and thier ability to remember us from last year..... the location is a little scary but for access to the stadiums and the price it was great. ....
The location is in a scary neighbourhood. ..
Room had an awful odor, door did not close properly, mattress was so worn in the middle you roll into the center. Had to put comforter and pillows in the middle of the mattress to sleep. I would not stay at again under any circumstance.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
We had a small issue with the room and the staff fixed it when notified.
easy to find. clean rooms. reasonable price
not much for close restaurants.
The cushy beds, the waffles on the breakfast bar, changeable shower head, friendliness of the staff.
Smell of cigarettes coming in our bathroom when we turned the fan on, in a non-smoking room. Very small outdoor pool, no toys for children for the pool. Confusing breakfast bar layout, and lack of bacon on the breakfast bar.
The location of this facility is in a horrible area!!. Homeless and drunken people everywhere. Felt extremely unsafe there. Drug dealers at end corner room and a prostitute was even dropped off right below our balcony. We emptied out our entire car because it was in a extremely bad area, as well as a transient person was walking thru the parking lot and would casually lift up on the door to see if it was unlocked.
Staff was courteous.
Besides the friendly staff, there was nothing to like. We specifically requested a non-smoking room, and we got one that reeked of cigarettes, among other things. The room needs a thorough cleaning top to bottom, or better yet, a complete renovation.
The front desk service...sad, but that was it.
Everything about the hotel but the front desk clerk...
breakfast was good and staff was friendly.
Dirty in the breakfast area. Chairs were upholstered and disgustingly dirty. Ask for a non smoking room but got a smoking room that had an air purifier to cover up order. Flore in bathroom was sticky and carpet was so dirty my grandson had ground-in dirt on his knees and feet. I did not walk on floor with out my shoes.
How close it was for the things we wanted to do.
People being arrested outside of the hotel for drugs. Microwave was not provided upon request
Very close to Kauffman Stadium and to 18th & Vine and Power and Light District. Worth it. Staff was great.
Paper-thin walls. Deadbolt was broken and unattended to.
Bath tub had mold, room smelled of smoke and air conditioner ran non-stop and never got very cool
The morning breakfast & the courteous staff that let us in the pool after 8 P.M. (they close this small pool at 8) so the little boys could relax after a 5 hour trip. Having laundry facilities on site was a great convenience. The bathrooms appeared to be clean and bed sheets and towels were crisp & clean. They replaced our bed in a timely fashion once we made them aware of the problem. This was only 3-4 miles from the kc stadium so we loved the close location. And there was a mcdonald's within a block. Great when you have kids.
First thing I noticed was that there were no folding luggage racks, which was very inconvenient for someone with arthritis where it's difficult to bend over. Then the one bed's mattress was just like sleeping in a bowl...there was no way not to roll/slide to the middle. My husband said that pillows were "LIKE sleeping on chex MIX". The next morning, my husband sat down on the edge of the bed...and it broke! The bedspreads had cigarrette burns on them - yuk! And the room smelled of smoke when we arrived so I lysoled everything. Ants were present by the bathroom and by the last night of our 4 day stay, the ceiling in the bathroom was showering water from the tub above us....which had obviously leaked before because there were already stains on the ceiling tile. Other guests were allowed to party on the balcony all night, and the sirens and police cars were a constant. Not a very restful place to stay
Loud people outside my room throughout the night and stale smoky room. When I spoke with the owner about not staying my second night he told me he could do nothing about it and told me I'd be called by the manager later, she never called. When I called I was given the run around and had the booking.com people call and got nowhere with them either. Owner lied to me about issuing me a refund and even that he was in fact he was the owner when I called back, only I told him what poor customer service they were giving me and I caught him in his lie about who he was did he try to offer me a discount, to which I said I want a whole refund for the night I wasn't staying. Terrible location also I was scared for me and my son's safety.
The bed was comfortable.
The room had a stale smoke odor. Gluten free options at the breakfast were almost non-existent.
The location was convenient to Kauffman Stadium.
Everything else... Room had 9 light bulbs in various fixtures, 3 worked, only 5 bulbs were present. No smoking room smelled horribly of smoke with ash trays in the room and cigarette stains on the bed, yet the staff tells us it is a non smoking room. pool was essentially a large bath tub. Room was supposed to have a fridge, it did not and even though we were told by staff they would get us one, they NEVER did. DO NOT...I REPEAT... DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Worst hotel experience ever!!!
- very small pool - low breakfast products variety
My hotel was close by the areas I intended to be in.
The staff member at the front desk did not have my reservation correct, for instance, booking.com had my stay set for June 30-July 5. The staff member had June 30-July 4 on the hotels computer. Instead of taking responsibility for their error, even after acknowledging that it was the hotels mistake, I was not accommodated and I was still charged an extra night. When I arrived on June 30, I paid the booking.com rate and was still charged an extra night.
1 carpet ripped and coming away from the wall. paint chipping and stained 2. tubs don't hold water 3. no baggage racks for suitcases 4.Electrical box came out of wall while unplugging charger 5. Party with loud talking, yelling and boom box bass noise until 4 am- no management to control it or call the police. 6. Office is locked until 7 am in the morning so can't eat breakfast or check out or get ice or do laundry or get the rolling cart to take luggage out to car. 7 Each room was suppose to have a fridge- only one of our rooms did.
The breakfast hours, and the friendly front desk staff.
Lack of room refrigerator,no microwave, mold around the tub,the stopper did not work so I could take a bath.Someone left a wet, hoodie from previous guests and housekeeping did not remove it.Old wash cloths(stained and frayed). The comforters had cigarette burns on it.The pool was a joke!!! It was the size of a kiddie pool.
access to I 70.
mattress was poor, sheets were stained, comforter had cig burns, parking was limited in the front and the back lot was in the "hood". swimming pool was a little bigger than a hot tub, breakfast buffet wasn't very good, no desk or table in room, bathroom faucet pulled up out of counter???
Near the ballpark.
Less than stellar neighborhood. My non-smoking room smelled of cigarettes. Room smelled musty. Pool was size of jacuzzi...literally.
