staff was nice, room was great
The hotel was only a mile from CBS studios which was our reason for being there. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. We will be back in May for another stay.
Not a bad experience...just would have been nice to have a microwave in the room. The wifi didn't work very well for our phones.
The bed was very good the room spacious right across from the supermarket and Coffee shop all staff very helpful
My car got scuffing at its parking. Just bought it a week ago.
The bathroom is dirty and the room is old. There is some bad smell.
Location, location, location.
Loud guests in the morning. No one in the bar ( I waited 15 min. ) breakfast was not mentioned and the nightstaff was clueless about where to walk to get toothpaste etc. They really should have a better grasp of the surrounding area.
Despite what some reviews say, this place does the job and is in a great location. It's a good deal for the price in that area. You can't be too picky if you're not willing to pay over $150 a night. Room is clean, comfy, cable, WiFi, fridge and plenty of parking.
The location is amazing, as is the general setup of this hotel. Huge potential if they would invest a little time and money into it.
This place should be $39.99/night. From the carpet to the bathroom it's dated and falling apart. I lasted 4 hrs before the bedbugs drove me out of the room. Wasn't reimbursed for that night because the night desk told me to wait till morning to speak to a manager. Just a night and motel to forget. Seriously questioning Booking.com's criteria on genius picks now.
Inadequate breakfast...another couple looked and left to a restaurant across the street: even the breakfast lady brought in her food from the outside??
The location was great and we had a large room. Fairly clean and quiet. No hassle check in and out and friendly staff.
Parking is limited and not guaranteed. Needs a little updating but not a turn off.
I really liked the location and quiet
The size and state of the room.
Bed and bedding good. Older motel which needs some renovation...but not bad. Staff were efficient and friendly.
Dated facility, tiny room, tube TV that didn't work properly, gross bathroom with cracked tiles. Requested a new room and was given a larger one; however, it was dated as well and had a musty odor.
WiFi was too slow to support video.
No hot water and I told the front desk and they did not resolve the problem
The room was clean and comfortable and well-serviced. Easily accessible to freeway and shopping.
The entire building is well-worn but what really mattered to me was the cleanliness and comfort of the room, which was fine. Attention to detail in the layout was average especially in the bathroom. For example the toilet seat wasn't the same shape as the toilet bowl, which is an issue when you sit on it. The toilet paper holder was in an awkward place far underneath the sink. The bathroom sink itself was in poor condition with cracks. Although this isn't a criticism of the facility, I had neighbors who were really noisy, which was made worse by the fact that there was an interleading door that was duct-taped shut, which didn't soundproof at all. Management was responsive when I complained, on the positive side. The name is a little misleading because I mistakenly associated Courtyard with "Marriott" and nothing could be further from the truth.
Prime location for Studio City. Safe, convenient and quiet--unless your room backs on to Ventura BL. Free parking and wi-fi.
The motel could be used in Hollywood as a set location for Mrs. Bates! It is old, dingy, tired and has no interest in any improvement. The TV's are 1960s vintage, the room set-ups are minimal and the shower barely works. Breakfast is available as pre-packaged food or waffles in an unwelcome cramped area. It is in need of a complete overhaul.
Location, front desk people were very friendly and nice. We stay 2 nights. A lot of good café and restaurants around. Close to all freeways. We'll stay there again.
Smell in the room.
Beds comfortable. Eating area was close. Vehicular access excellent.
Breakfast only offered carbohydrates and beverages. Needs to have yoghurt sand or fruit available
Location is pretty good with lots of restaurants near-by in the studio city area.
We arrived at the hotel late in the evening after a 350 mile drive to rest for an early morning flight. During check-in the night 'manager' handed over a key to a smoking room. Upon insisting that we had booked a non-smoking room this manager argued for 25 minutes that it was the only room available and that we booked a smoking room. After presenting our confirmation he gave up and admitted he had other non-smoking rooms reserved for people yet to check-in. Eventually after 30 minutes of needless arguing at midnight we got our room key. We stayed in room 113 and the room was ok but the selector valve in the shower would only go half way from the tap to the shower so water pressure through the shower was just ok. Other mangers have been ok on our two previous stays but this guy was rude enough to put us off returning next time.
Comfortable bed Good location Room was cleaned well
Bathroom was extremely dated
Comfortable. Close to universal.
Dated and deteriorating furnishings and structure. One coffee packet for two people. Old poor quality TV.
