Located 15 minutes outside of downtown Austin, Texas, this hotel is 3 miles from Travis County Expo Center. It features an outdoor pool and a daily hot breakfast buffet.
Score from 203 reviews Very good
The hotel was a bit dated. The price was high when one considers the location, condition of the facility and the age of the facility.
The staff was friendly.
Our top bed spread sheet had funky stains.
Clean rooms! Pleasant staff! Comfy bed!! Great price!! I'd stay again!
It is not at all convenient to 6th avenue or Congress bridge where things are happening. The only thing it is convenient to is the University and even at that, crossing under the freeway is noisy and unpleasant. We asked to have a carpet stain removed from in front of the bathroom sink and it was not done. It was not hot enough to swim but even if it were...the pool itself was grossly dirty and to sit poolside would be unpleasant with the 70 mph traffic speeding by.
The bed was comfortable and the room was clean
The sheets and pillow cases were dirty! there were numerous stains on the floor and bedspreads.
Did not stay because it was disgusting! The staff was nice and refunded my money.
We no have good facilities
They not have hot water for shower !!!! Hellooooo
With the highway just a few meters away, the hotel is incredibly noisy. The breakfast is very poor (just toast white bread, some cereals and fruit).
The room was clean and comfortable.
Thay need to clean the place up.
Close to UT
Bedding and general finish of room was below average. No fitted bottom sheets so bedding came all apart. Older finishes and bed was not comfortable.
Proximity to U Texas
Overcharged for room.
Bed was good
Its not a bad experience but I only wish that there was a fitness center so that even away from home one can exercise.
Hotel needs lots of updating facility is run down. Also lots of highway noise
How easy it was to get to my destination from the location of the hotel.
The room was dirty. The shower was not working properly!
There was no central heat and we had to use a space heater. The water pipes were very noisy (rattling). It was just not the quality I am used to for this price. I guess I was paying for location.
Good location for what I needed. Easy check-in.
But it was to close to The big highway. Not a Motel for resting.
The location was great since I wanted to be in East Austin.
The only sour note was when we extended our reservation at the reception desk, we were charged the full rate rather than the booking.com promotional rate, a difference of $35. We could have easily gone online and reserved a fifth night through the website, but we assumed we would get the same price at the counter and weren't told otherwise by the receptionist. Fortunately we discovered this before we checked out and it was fixed by the manager, but still it shouldn't have happened.
Motel is located close to downtown and even closer to the UT campus. There is a 24-hour diner on the property which, even though it has a different owner, is a big plus. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, which is about all you can ask from a motel like this. It also happens to be one of the cheapest in Austin which means great value for money. We reserved for four nights and then extended to a fifth night, so we were quite satisfied.
Proximity to freeway made it possible to get to downtown for under 10 $. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Hot water was barely hot enough during my stay
Good location for seeing LBJ museum or UT
The parking lot is a little difficult to get around in. Understand there's not a lot you can do about this.
It was very clean including the bathroom!
Facility is very, vert old. Cracked ceilings, stained carpets and towels, ac/heat window unit was just sad. Loose light fitures and tub faucet too. If possible stay somewhere else.
Location was quick commute to convention center.Nicest item was huge flat screen tv in old rundown room.
Wifi was too slow and sometimes unavailable in room
parking lot was safe and very close to the room
unsafe, not quite, cannot sleep at night since it located on a high way. not clean. breakfast is very bad.
There were several rowdy guests above our room, who made noise all night long. The next morning we found that these guests had leaned off their balcony and thrown up on our car! Other than, throwing a bucket of water on the car, the staff were not very helpful. They admitted to having several complaints about these guests, but they apparently hadn't done anything about the complaints.
This hotel was in an excellent location, but I honestly thought it should have been cheaper. I did not get my money's worth.
Dirty and many insects are there! I changes my room 3 times! first one very dirty... second ... many Cockroaches in the room... third ... has many flyes and bugs... Staff are not friendly.. asked for an iron as mine was not there... said will be in the room in few minutes but never arrived... rooms are very noisy ... you can hear the noises from cars all the time... Not safe area! I do not recommend this hotel at ALL.
