parking lot was safe and very close to the room
Wifi was too slow and sometimes unavailable in room
unsafe, not quite, cannot sleep at night since it located on a high way. not clean. breakfast is very bad.
This hotel was in an excellent location, but I honestly thought it should have been cheaper. I did not get my money's worth.
There were several rowdy guests above our room, who made noise all night long. The next morning we found that these guests had leaned off their balcony and thrown up on our car! Other than, throwing a bucket of water on the car, the staff were not very helpful. They admitted to having several complaints about these guests, but they apparently hadn't done anything about the complaints.
Dirty and many insects are there! I changes my room 3 times! first one very dirty... second ... many Cockroaches in the room... third ... has many flyes and bugs... Staff are not friendly.. asked for an iron as mine was not there... said will be in the room in few minutes but never arrived... rooms are very noisy ... you can hear the noises from cars all the time... Not safe area! I do not recommend this hotel at ALL.
Loud party till 4am despite two complaints to staff. No sleep that night.
Location. Cleanliness. Value of money.
Safety. No breakfast alternatives.
The motel was changing hands they day we arrived and they managed to give us a warm welcome. The room was comfortable and clean with a microwave, refrigerator, safe (we did not use). The bathroom was clean and toiletries were provided. Breakfast was basic with pre-made omelettes that are common in budget inns but the waffles made fresh were good. Coffee and tea was available in the lobby all the time. It was within walking distance to the U of Texas, especially the excellent LBJ Library and Museum. Our ground floor room was insulated from the noise of the highway. We considered it a good value for what we paid and if price remains competitive we would stay again.
The parking lot is not attractive and some people might not like being on a busy interstate highway. The cafe next door is okay but there is nothing else nearby. Some days we were left worn towels but they were clean. This is a budget motel and a good value.
The convenience was a big plus. There is a little restaurant next door that is inexpensive and good. We felt like we were by all the main attractions of Austin, or very near, and it is easy to drive there. Plain oatmeal for breakfast was a plus and we would jazz it up in our room with store bought things. HEB store a 10 minute drive up Red River St.
Papers were outdated. Wi Fi was tricky sometimes. Bring ear plugs as it's by I 35 and noisy.
NOT a good location-right under the Freeway!
Location was good as we walked into town most days. We stayed four days.
Safe never worked, light by bed faulty, clock broked and phone faulty.
Booking.com reso. Was charged double for 1st night was charged for 1st night in June then again yesterday. Will call to correct
Good value for money Clean & Comfortable
Location was not as good as described
Staff where nice and friendly. WiFi worked great
Rooms where dirty, cockroaches, mold. Had to move room once sink would not drain. Paint was peeling of doors, human hair on towels and bath. Wierd stain on microwave and fridge. Coffee machine had not been cleaned , immediately next to 3 Freeways. Manager had still not got back to me
Won't book a hotel on line. Unless I know motel and location
Overall unclean never stay there again
I liked the staff. Very helpful!
I didn't like the beds as they are uncomfortable.
With-in walking distance from the UT (the University). Very well located, right next to the highway, but not too loud from the traffic. Decent breakfast, for how much you are paying, even had fresh fruit (bananas) one morning!
The air-conditioner kept turning off during the night and it would get really hot. Not that we used it, but the swimming pool looked quite dirty.
Reasonable price, good sized room with adequate facilities. Didn't bother with the breakfast as one of us gluten free & limited choice. Did ask for and got a room away from the noisy road.
Forget the swimming pool - grim and alongside the road. Difficult to locate if using a satnav as we sailed past on the freeway above it !! (could have been our sat nav of course!) l$12 taxi ride to get to downtown (or I gather people use Ubertaxi ?)
There was no hot water and TV was marginal. I have stayed at Motel 6, Candlewood Suites, Holiday Inn Express and some No Name Motels and this was by far one of my not so good experiences.
Great location, very close to downtown, and a good price.
Room could have been cleaner. (There were dust bunnies hanging onto the ceiling.)
Convenience to downtown...easy route to COTA...
Spacious room, very comfortable bed, good sound isolation, clean, good WiFi coverage with good speed, good breakfast selection (even with a waffle maker in the shape of the state of Texas... :-) :-) )
Close to a multi-level highway. So your experience may depend on the location of your room. I was lucky, getting a back room....
- close to manor rd (specifically The Salty Sow for fantastic food) - close to the cherrywood coffeehouse for breakfast - not too far from downtown (long walk) - next to hw 35
- next to hw 35 - weird staff, friendly in an uncomfortable awkward way - room not clean (what's with the weird wooden floors and the smelly stuff you clean them with?)
it was in walking distance of the UT conference center. It's probably best for people with a car. It was a clean large room, could accommodate a family group.
It's next to a noisy interstate, in an otherwise fairly desolate area (no restaurants close by). This is a old time motel, think noisy air conditioner cycling through the night.
Cheap rate via trivago. Great location.
Parking is 'awkward'. Literally on I35 (good or bad)
