Convenient to places I was visiting. Was clean but fixtures were old.
Had a nonsmoking room that you could tell used to be a smoking room by the lingering smoke odor. In the morning could smell cigarette smoke in the bathroom. Obviously coming through the ventilator fan. Musty smell when air conditioner turned on. Needed to be cleaned.
Rooms were very clean. Friendly staff. Non smoking room was smoke free.
Hotel structure is a bit rundown. Rusty steps.
Our visit was wonderful. Location of this hotel is perfect. Close to Maggie, Cherokee and Sliding Rock. The room was clean. Views from our balcony was awesome!
Pool shut down by the health Dept. No television.
No on site breakfast, cracked bathtub
We checked in and then I got a message that my uncle had died,so we had to leave. I was told that i would get 1 night back, maybe both. I didn't expect to get both but at least one. Have called on a weekly basis. The person i need to talk with isn't there or will call back. Have not heard anything, and that was July 4th weekend.
We were charged for three nights and we only stayed two nights. We are still trying to get a refund.
The peace and quiet the view and my grandson LOVED the pool. And we had it all to ourselves.
The problem with some guest on the lower level. But it was handle quietly and quickly.
I liked the view from our room. Service was good and staff friendly. It was clean and a well laid out room.
It was advertised as breakfast included in room rent. What we got were coupons for a free breakfast sandwich at McDonalds. Any thing else you wanted for breakfast you paid for. No elevator. stairs not good for elderly.
I liked the view
It seemed like it was in transition...but really not ready for guests. It looked like the room had been recently renovated - particularly the bathroom but it was a poor job. It looked like the tub had been forced into the wall and it was not finished properly. The sign outside said "Roadway Inn", the phone in the room said "Days Inn" and I made the reservation for a place called "Relax Inn". This would have made it difficult to find in the dark. The parking and reservation lane were hard to navigate because of the limited space. It was deserted which made me feel a little uneasy.
the view from room was pretty
toilet leaked, hot water in toilet, hairs on and in bed , overall not clean. no coffee on site had to drive 1/2 mile to get a cup of coffee. service was not friendly at all!
View was great. Good bed. Staff was very interested in smoothing out any rough spots. This is a place in transition with obvious deferred maintenance but I wish them well. They have some challenges but they are trying very hard.
Sketchy stairwell. Traffic noise (easily overcome by using AC fan). Lobby could use remodel.
Liked how they came in and cleaned the room, gave us new towels and made the beds even for just a two night stay.
Pool wasn't ready and one of the blankets had three noticable holes in it.
had a bit of a view. had smoking rooms.
first thing wasn't named what I was lead to believe it to be. sets up on a steep hill and a very sharp turn to enter/exit. for the money this place is a disgrace. I have stayed at 5 times better motels for less. holes in bathroom door. strong chemical smell when you first enter, had to leave the door open to air it out.
View from the room was great. Cost was low. Waynesville was unexpectedly nice.
The hotel was hard to find as it wasn't called the correct name. The room needed redecoration.
Ease of access to the room. Balcony with view of the mountains. Very comfortable bed.
couldn't find the ice maker.
The king size bed we had was very comfortable. Must have been new !
No hot breakfast items as advertised. Coffee tasted like instant... This motel uses way too much chemicals when doing the cleaning. You open the door to the room and it nearly knocks you out it is so powerful. The motel was located on top of a steep hill and you had to drive up this inconvienent narrow road. I was afraid of slipping or sliding on it in the snow and rain. Probably won't stay here again. Other motels in the area looked better from the outside, were in the same price range, and were more off the hwy. As the motel overlooks the main hwy there was constant traffic noise in the room
clean, good view of town,
name change. to relax inn. no heat in room had to change room.
Location was stunning.
Terrible breakfast on first morning. OK the second.
The bed and pillows were comfortable. Good value for a quick night's sleep.
The room showed its age and signs of do it yourself paint and renovations. Nonetheless, it was clean and comfortable.
The shower, the beds, the view, the balcony,
Maid knocking and opening door before we had a chance to respond.
Great location and the private balconies with mountain views was the best part. They also had a huge breakfast bar with alot of Southern favorites.
