ability to meet my request for high floor room. mostly quiet surroundings. IHOP attached.
Hotel seemed a tad old on decor and little smelly like an older home type, not bad smell just a little off. not a lot of amenities.
Rooms were clean.Friendly service
I liked the bed and that the hotel is centralized...can get pretty much anywhere in about 10 minutes.
The elevators were kinda questionable. They also popped a $30 a night deposit on me that I knew nothing about until I checked my account.
I was in town for a friends wedding that I was in. I loved the location and the people at the desk seemed to love their job, they were fun. I got locked out of my room and had a ton of bags in my hand. The guy downstairs wasted no time coming to let me in.
I had to pay a $100 deposit. I was not told about. Also on Booking.com my total was 247.00 with tax. Some how when leaving I realized I paid $301.00/ I did get my deposit back at checkout, but I was a little concerned about the price change.
a cold shower in the morning
Pleasant desk staff.
Couch and carpet seemed dirty. Bathroom in first room had tiny roaches crawling around. So late in the night, that we just changed rooms.
Room well furnished, grounds well kept, especially for the price in comparison to other area hotels. Staff very attentive and helpful. Excellent experience. IHOP on premises.
Workout room weight machine in desperate need of replacement.
Very convenient with IHOP Restaurant being attached to hotel. Room was very spacious and clean. Staff very friendly at check-in and check-out. Price very reasonable for area and quality of hotel. Would definitely stay here again.
Bed was very low to ground and on the hard side. Odd smell in 2nd floor corridors.
The place stunk! Room was nasty:/
water pressure was great (good hot water), connected to an IHOP (great food and service)
room was not ready at check in timedirty, the staff was not friendly, could not get taxis and little help from staff, badly in need of remodel, very expensive for that bad of a room
I basically liked the fact I had a place to sleep. IHOP next door is good if you're there for a holiday as was I.
Everyone in New Orleans went out of their way to be nice, it seemed, except for the hotel staff, all three of whom I met were very rude. One refused to book another stay with me, since this reservation had been online; the one who checked me in wrote my room number down but didn't say it, and acted like I was an idiot when I didn't notice and asked; and when I misplaced a room key, I was actually laughed at (I think she assumed I lost it during a party, which I hadn't, and I was sober.) otherwise, the water takes too long to heat up and the balcony door wasn't sealed, so it was freezing. Speaking of freezing, the refrigerator only had a freeze function, so my water bottle needed to thaw. Considering how much prices were jacked for the holidays, I might as well have stayed somewhere nicer in town.
Bed was comfortable
My room smelt horrible n had to change to another room which was cleaner n smelt pleasant however door was hard to open n sliding door was hard to open on patio
Love the comfort of the bed. The room was very clean. Front desk amazing, greeted every time you walk in the door. Easy Check in. My stay was great. (stood here for night before and night of my wedding)
Ihop vocher :-( Wasn't much to choose from. Even the cheap motel give you more options. I think they should make a wider vary of breakfast choices. Wifi sucked could not use it, idk, why but it just didn't.
paper thin walls can hear everything your neighbors is doing
Overall, this place was great. I didn't have any problems and it was well worth the price.
Room is old but clean Bed is comfortable
Shuttle service is terrible - you can't call them from the airort because they're not on the list, and when you call direct it takes then forever to answer. Expect to wait 25-30m to their shuttle and see others pass 2-3 time in front of you before their old van arrives. Hotel is very old, poor breakfast too.
Wore and tore sheets, dirty carport, toilet would not flush and every unclean.
I loved that the room was so clean and smelled really clean.
I didn't like that the desk clerk wasn't very friendly and personable when I checked in. But the desk clerk when I checked out however made up for that.
The bathroom needs maintenance. Breakfast wasn't included of daily price.
liked the price comparing to others
smokers rooms where not as clean as non smokers
Location is sort of convenient - in the middle of the way from airport to downtown, close to shopping/restaurants Metairie. IHop restaurant just in hotel. Parking, basic room facilities, big room - all good enough.
Feel safe to book it if all neighbor or downtown hotels are either overbooked or too expensive. Otherwise I don't recommend it at least for 2014. Because: - It's old. As a result: carpet is smelling in some rooms like in all old hotels; in winter - some "wind" is in the floor of the room. - Some insects/bugs in the bed (but just in my room). Well, maybe it was just only mosquitoes being able to go inside bed, but more likely worse things. - A/C heating is not bad in winter, but due to bad isolation and big size of room - leads to some "micro-climate" problems. - Renovation has started and in my case it led to the big noise at 6AM just on other side of my room' wall (people on reception were responsive and eventually made it possible to avoid it next morning) - Over weekend some drunk people tend to book few rooms. Nothing danger or unsafe, but not pleasant. - Overall it's convenient, but not very pleasant part of New Orleans. There are even worse locations in New Orleans area however.
Waited an hour and 45 minutes to check in. They told us the room was not cleaned yet at 4pm...What were the maids doing from noon to 4pm? The desk called us up to get our key finally at 5:30 but again we had to wait. It was comical because evidently she couldn't give us our room key because the maids had left the room door open, Lol!! we got in at 5:45.. Staff poorly trained. Dirty carpets in hallway. No phone service in room. I would fire whomever is running this place.
First night: No hot water. No phone/TV. AM: NEW phone/TVcable/remote. Coffee:used filter pack not cleaned. Carpet visibly soiled. Wind under closed sliding door.
I really liked the location and th ihop!
I have a questions in regards to my bill. I stayed 4 nights at $80.00 per night and there would be taxed added, but my bill came out to $547 and some change. It seems very high-can I get an explanation or a break down? I stayed 11/6 (check in) 11/10 (check out). Room 143. Thanks
Location was great!
Had non smoking room R/t allergies adjoining room was also non smoking however the smell of cigarettes were so strong I stayed up sneezing & coughing all night on a hard bed! Housekeeping made king bed but left sofa bed that was used unattended
