they were very friendly and let us ck in early
The Environment is very welcoming The free wifi is fantastic Some very friendly staff Gift shop items very affordable Sea side good and calm
Some staff are very unfriendly Charged my account after I paid with cash Poor recording of transactions Lift not too good Noisy cleaning staff
The beach was right behind the hotel and not at all crowded.
Everything other than the beach was poor. If I could give a rating other than poor for the comfort, I would. The beds were soooo uncomfortable and dirty looking. The sockets in the wash were falling apart and didon't work. The bathroom looked like it needed to be sanitized. The room in general looked like it needed to be broken down and built from the floor up. It would have been better if my family and I slept in the car in the parking lot.
The location is great, near the Aventura Mall and far from the madness from the tourists from Miami Beach... A quiet place with a good private beach.
The hotel is old, and the bed is not good. But you get what you pay for, if you get a good price, it's a good deal.
Waiter at the restaurant was awesome. Exterior, pool and location on beach were excellent.
The room was in very poor repair. The door to the bathroom had been damaged, repainted and the frame was so rusted that it wouldn't shut. There was a 2 inch gap under the door to the adjoining room where a child screamed until 1am. Also booking.com had said free parking but this was untrue.
The price in the internet wasn't the one I paid. I paid more.
Location was good
It was dirty and gross!
Location location location
Bed too hard Front desk staff not helpful
Location was good.
-Air conditioner in room was not working properly. - Charged $100 extra on total bill- resort fee etc.
Liked that it was oceanfront, close to nice restaurants.
I really liked that the pool and beach were so accessible. It was an advantage to have a restaurant on the premises.
It was somewhat dated. The TV stopped working twice during our stay, and we kept having to ask for extra towels. Some other websites offer breakfast which we did not get through Booking.com
The beach was nice.
I opened a roll of toilet tissue and 20 roaches jumped out. I told the manager and he refused to address the problem. I took pictures and video. The manager was rude and unprofessional. They also allowed people to party at the pool until 2am!
They never cleaned the room while we were there and did not even pick up the garbage. Also the pool needs work the floor is all cracked with missing pieces.
We were a loyal customer of this hotel for over 12 years. We have many great family memories in this hotel. The hotel is both centrally and conveniently located on Sunny Isles beach and within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. The beach is also well maintained.
Unfortunately this will be our last visit to this hotel. While the room we were given was overall clean, the carpeting was old and dirty. Also, the air conditioning could not be adjusted and one of our travelers became sick as a result of having to sleep directly in the path the strong stream of cold air. In addition to our dissatisfaction with the room, we got stuck in the hotel's elevator and had to be rescued by the fire department. It should be noted that when we got stuck, the hotel staff person did not call the fire department and instead was trying to get us out of the elevator himself! They may have been trying to avoid a second visit by the fire department since we later found out that other individuals had to be rescued from the same elevator earlier that day. Thankfully one of the other people who were stuck with us on the elevator called the fire department and they were able to safely rescue us from the elevator. What really led to our decision to never return again was the fact that after such a scary and inconvenient incident, hotel management never reached out to so much as apologize for what we went through and, during checkout, when we asked for some type of compensation for our experience with the elevator, we were denied! They told us that these things happen all the time. Right. which is exactly why we won't be back. Hotels, no matter how many "stars' they carry must always value their customers, especially if they are struggling to stay in business. Too bad Thunderbird Beach Resort seems to be unaware of this cardinal rule in the hospitality business.
rooms were moderate.. great location on the beach
.i saw roaches.. the rooms have central air conditioning that will freeeze...there is little or no control of the air.
the staff and the location
a great place to relax
Next to the beach
Thin walls Horrible costumer service They won't look you in the eyes If you use American Express card there is a hidden fee of 20% of whatever amount you use in it so if you want to pay $500 dollars off of your Amex they charge me $575.00 just because of the card Hot tub smelled like someone pooped in it and the heat of the water was like cooking you with that smell so when you get out of it you yourself smell like it , on top of it the hot tub timer didn't work The air didn't work and started leaking I had a problem with one family member that broke something it the room and I told them it was okay I was going to pay for it But they said no kicked us out and kept the money of the rest of my trip I had two rooms so I told them that with one room I can pay for the broken item and leave us in the other room and they said no that we were a disgrace Very rude people and management I should have listened to the reviews No breakfast included even though I see that it says that it is included they just don't want people to know Kids running down the halls People screaming in other rooms Than the manager told me to shut up and when i told him he was very disrespectful he walked away lucky no one slapped him for being so rude Never again Bathroom was nasty didn't work right The door wouldn't close the shower didn't work small room tv was a flats screen but control didn't work . DONT COME HERE
It was still there after all these years
The marks on the bath. I thought it was pattend at first
that you have to check out by 11:00 a.m. That can't stay longer in the pool, That breakfast is not included if you reserve on line.
Unbeatable pricing for the location. It's literally IN the beach
Roaches in the kitchen, something I sadly got used to from days inn hotel chain. The cleaning staff never even bother to clean the balcony.
lokality, right on the beach, restaurant, bar at the pool, all was excellent
Clean rooms. Good location, minuttes away from Aventura Mall and a very nice beach. All in all, it is an ok stay for one or two nigths, but are you staying in Maimi for longer we will recommand spending a little extra on a better hotel closer to South Beach.
We never saw staff smile to anywhone, except the housekkeeping staff. We almost felt that our presence annoyed them.
Pleasant staff. Nice pool. Beach access. Bus stop right out front for the whole bus route to South Beach & to Aventura Mall. Opposite Publix & a number of independent shops e.g. bakeries, eateries etc.
The air-con temperature could not be adjusted in the room. Noise from the building site 2 blocks down from 7am (this is temporary) when the room door is open. The noise from the adjoining room at 4.30am when they came in drunk.
