Strange activities outside at night which made it hard to sleep
Offensive smell. Office staff not well-groomed or professional in appearance. Reluctant to honor price printed on my confirmation.
There were few guests, but the staff put a family of noisy people including bounding loud children in the room above us. They were active at oh dark thirty.
Breakfast selections were find
Parking is a challenge and the grounds were not very clean.
Staff was wonderful. Beds were very comfortable.
Ask for second floor room, or listen to those above. Make sure you have towels.
No wifi. Coffee maker in room was very dirty. No regular coffee in room. (Front office told me to come to office myself, and get some.) I had a hard time even finding the office from my room, as there were no signs on the internal buildings, and no map in the room. I was told to park in an alley behind the building furthest from the front office. Though this is a fairly large, mostly empty facility, I was put in a crowded row of visibly run down rooms in the back, where the other "guests" seemed to be living full time. I did see several empty (and much nicer looking) rooms near the front of the property, on my search for the front office. my "neighbors" were very noisy outside my room in the middle of the night, and I could hear someone repeatedly rattling the knob of the ajoining room door door! Very uncomfortable! TV volume was set very low, and could not be turned up. The breakfast was bread to toast, corn flakes, or a very watery pot of oatmeal. And coffee. The price from Bookings.com was $20 more than if I'd just called the hotel directly. I learned my lesson, and moved a few miles down the road to a Comfort Inn for the next two nights. Much nicer in every way, and $30 cheaper per night!
I had booked my room the night before, with bookings.com. I asked the front office for an early check-in. After an initial refusal, I was allowed to check in at 1:30pm, instead of the usual 3pm check in.
cockaroches in the room. ruined my stay
Lack of local map
Good location for visiting Stanford University. Comfortable and good value
Wifi didn't work most of the time.
I like the location it was perfect for everywhere I needed to go. The staff was great.
their breakfast was very poor. bread, fruit, oatmeal and cold ceral, would have liked to see bagel cream cheese and Danish. the four slice toaster was broken on one side need to replace. I called and requested rooms next to each other and I was told no problem and when we arrived they could not deliver.
the beds where very comfy and the room was very clean. and the location was great.
Just the lack of food variety.
Everything was , except for the r the breakfast, it wasn't horrible, but there really wasn't any choices. Maybe a waffle iron station, hard boiled eggs.
Rug was dirty, poor customer service. No Wi - fi as advertised. I will never stay there again.
Dirty carpets and room smelled like someone had smoked inside. The room was steamy hot on arrival; expected some a/c to have been at the very least on low.
Gentleman working at front desk on Night staff is polite, friendly and so helpful.
3 people in the room and never the right amount of towels. Our room keys worked about 50% of the time. It did not feel as safe as I would have liked.
It was a place to sleep and shower.
TV was not working Toilet was out of order Wifi was almost non-excisting
Nothing good to say
Reception seems to be bothered to be there, it would be a nice thing to actually be greeted and welcomed, instead tolerated and dealt when we spend a $100/night!
Room was nice and clean!
No flat screen in my room. Mattress was a cheap spring type where you could feel each and every spring. Pool was closed. Wi-Fi never worked unless you were in the lobby. I asked about the Wi-Fi and was told it has been broken for some time now. The breakfast was a couple rolls, bread, coffee, and juice.
The location is close to major companies. It is right on a major road but I never heard the traffic noise. The staff was nice and friendly.
First room we were offered was in terrible disrepair, smelled bad, severe sagging in the ceiling. Second room was slightly better. If it hadn't been so late, we would have left. Will not stay there again
Staff sincerely tried to make us happy. In the end, they deducted $30 from our bill.
It was smelly and did not have vending machines available to get a cold drink
Mostly the price
The shower valve did not transfer completely so the tub spout continued to flow reducing the shower pressure and wasting water. The valve also had a leak. Main lobby was tired looking and not a good first impression.
Staff was polite and courteous. Interior courtyard was nicely kept. Room was clean.
